Mission statement
With Yellow Peril Fest, we hope to create a space free of racism, white supremacy, colorism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and sexism. We aim to bring bands to Boston from all over the U.S. and Canada, as well as internationally. Ultimately, we want to empower folks of color to participate in punk and DIY and feel as if that space is theirs. Even though the fest is called yellow peril fest it is not exclusive to just East-Asian folks but a space for Pan-Asian people of all backgrounds and is open to all.
Yellow Peril Fest is a two-day, all ages, DIY punk and workshop fest in Boston that will center on the music and experiences of Asian folks of all backgrounds. This is a space for people of color to be loud and angry, and to dismantle the stereotypes placed upon us under white supremacy.
