The most important line in the project hail mary book:

This is the best agreement again AI, war, or ignoring global warming because there are people who just use up and destroy the world without being grateful for what they have. We should value the world not just for what it gives us but also what it can give to others.

Also this line is great at setting up Ryland's motivation and shows how he is an actual good teacher who cares about what he is doing.
