𓍢ִ໋🌹͙֒ Go Hyuntak x Reader ┊ Fluff, Jealousy ┊ 0.7k words
The low murmur of chatter in the Eunjang High classroom was usually easy enough to ignore, but today the noise was concentrated entirely around Baku’s desk.
You were leaning against the side of his table, trying to explain a math problem he had given up on twenty minutes ago. Baku was slouched in his chair, scratching the back of his neck and laughing at something silly you said. From across the room, it looked harmless. Friendly, even.
How the weak hero boys feel about personal space
Pairings: Yeon Sieun, Ahn Suho, Oh Beomsoek, Park Humin (Baku), Go Hyuntak (Gotak), Seo Juntae, Geum Seongje, Na Baekjin x reader (fluff)
Author's note: The heatwaves here are finally breaking so I can use my brain for its intended purpose - writing fanfiction headcanons 🖤 Weak Hero Masterlist Here 🖤
Yeon Sieun
Before you're dating: Sieun takes personal space very seriously. He hates when people get overly familiar with him and cross the invisible boundary around him, preferring to keep his hands to himself at all times. The first sign that his feelings for you might be straying further than friendship is that he finds his gaze lingering on your hand for longer than it should while his heart jumps with desire. And when you occasionally place a hand on his arm when you're talking to him, he finds himself melting into your touch, rather than flinching away, his own hand resting in the same spot periodically through the rest of the day.
Once you're dating: Sieun gets a little more relaxed about physical affection once you two are together. It still feels quite new and unnatural to him, and he doesn't like to do anything showy when you're in public together, but he'll happily hold your hand as he's walking around with you, and sit close enough that your knees touch when you're out with your friends. In private he's much more cuddly, enjoying being able to act on all his desires to let his hand rest on your thigh, or to lean his head on your shoulder when you're studying together. He doesn't exactly want you to live in his lap 24/7 but he's very happy to hold you there for a while, and share a deep, loving kiss before letting you part ways.
Ahn Suho
Before you're dating: Suho is already pretty affection as a friend, constantly draping an arm over your shoulder or standing closer to you than he needs to. It's also a major part of his plan to flirt with you, showing you how comfortable it feels for the two of you to be so close. He'll steer you through the corridor with a hand on your lower back, or brush a hair out of your face before he feeds you something directly from his plate. He just loves feeling close to you, and he can tell from the way you smile when he reaches towards you that the feeling is mutual.
Once you're dating: If he was clingy as a friend, Suho is like an octopus when you're actually together. He's got a hand on you at all times, constantly dragging you closer to him until he can practically wrap his whole body around you and hold you close enough to leave kisses anywhere he wants to reach. He's definitely the type to lose complete track of time once he starts kissing you, clutching at your clothes until you're on top of him and know you're not going to move any time soon. Honestly, he gets a bit offended if you sit anywhere but right next to him, thighs brushing as he keeps an arm pinned to your waist.
Oh Beomseok
Before you're dating: When Beomsoek is just your friend, despite how badly his heart aches for you, he's absolutely terrified to touch you. He doesn't really like being touched by anyone, even his friends, and so he imagines if he ever laid a finger on you, you'd immediately recoil away from him. He'll keep his hands tucked neatly in his pockets when you walk together to avoid the overwhelming temptation to reach for yours, and the first time you reach up to adjust his glasses he's shaking like a leaf trying not to stare at your lips and wonder if now's the moment to risk everything.
Once you're dating: When you and Beomsoek have grown to be more than friends, and you've learned a little more about his life at home, you'll understand why he doesn't like when most people touch him. He's so used to being struck violently, that every time you brush your fingers over him gently and sweetly, he feels like he's going to crumble to the floor and cry. He's desperate to be loved by you, wanting to feel your loving embrace more than anything, but it takes him a little while to build up to feeling able to touch you back. He finds your touch so grounding and reassuring that he craves the feel of your hand in his when you're out in the world together, and when you're in private he's wrapped around your finger the second you stroke his hair or kiss his cheek. Eventually he'll probably be the clingiest boy on this list, but you'll need to give him lots of time and attention to get there.
Park Humin (Baku)
Before you're dating: Baku loves grabbing his friends, and playing with their hair, and throwing his weight around, so even when he's just got a crush on you, he's going to find every excuse to take up all of your personal space. He'll tap your shoulder when he wants your attention, and he'll give you a huge crushing hug when he walks you home, extending his arm for you to hold when the floor is uneven or he just feels like you might take him up on the offer. He's never really minded having his friends up in his space, so he's very hopeful that all his time spent in yours is just making you think about all his boyfriend potential.
Once you're dating: Oh my god, once you're dating Baku is the absolute king of PDA. He doesn't care where you are or who's around, if you're close enough to kiss, he's going for it. His arms are never not wrapped around you, most conversations involving him being pressed against your back when his head resting on yours so almost all of him is touching you. He'll insist on carrying your bags so you have a free hand to hold his, when he isn't just carrying you on his back instead because then you place the occasional kiss against his neck and watch his beaming smile light up in response. Honestly, he gets pretty pouty if you ever don't immediately climb onto his lap, wondering what could possibly be keeping you so far away from him (one seat away.) He's just so proud of the fact that you like him, that he wants the whole world to see how close the two of you are. And when he finally has you alone, he's somehow even clingier, constantly lifting you onto the nearest surface so he can stand between your knees and kiss you as slow and as deeply as his lungs will let him.
Go Hyuntak (Gotak) ^that gif is too cute not to interrupt for
Before you're dating: Gotak pretends to be extremely chill and nonchalant when it comes to you, but thankfully he's not that good of an actor. He doesn't like having people get too close to him generally, but that doesn't mean he isn't going to find some reason to 'bump' into you at least once a day. Maybe it's holding a door open for you and then following behind you just close enough that you can feel his heat against you. Or offering you a jacket and draping it over your shoulders before you have the chance to say no. Sometimes you'll notice his basketball roll in your direction just so he can take it gently from your hands and let his fingers linger against yours.
Once you're dating: Thankfully his cool guy facade is dropped the second you start calling him your boyfriend. In public he's more stoic with his affections, just a firm hand around yours as you walk around school, or an arm around your waist when things feel a little too crowded. He'll happily accept a kiss on the cheek when you're cheering him on at games, but he prefers to save most of his intimacy for his alone time with you. When he finally has you behind closed doors, this man is a state. He's playfully kissing your face and nipping at your bottom lip, and trying to wrap his hoodie around you so you're pressed tightly to his chest. He wants to shower you with love, and also for you to baby him the way he'd never let anyone see, to stroke his hair and let him nap against your thighs and be told all the sweet reassurances he needs to hear. He will find absolutely any reason to have you sleep over so he can make the most of being the centre of your attention all night long, loving smile never leaving his lips.
Seo Juntae
Before you're dating: Juntae isn't a naturally affectionate person, not because he's insecure about touching you, but because he's never really had much affection shown his way. Most of the time people are only getting in his space to bother him or intimidate him, so he doesn't necessarily crave your touch even as he starts to fall in love with you. He does try and be a bit more open to it when he starts trying to make his feelings known, and certainly notices how differently he feels when it comes to you letting your hands land on him.
Once you're dating: When you're with Juntae, he's going to be so much more affectionate. He's very sweet with his touches, linking arms with you as you wait to catch the school bus together, or placing a gentle kiss against your cheek when you have to part ways. He enjoys how light everything feels with you, feelings very content with any level of affection you're happy to give. He's not as clingy as you might expect most of the time, but when he's had a tough day and he's feeling a bit unsure of himself, you can turn his whole day around by resting your head on his chest and nuzzling into him, feeling his arms encircle you like he might never let go.
Geum Seongje
Before you're dating: Seongje is about as subtle as a heart attack when his eyes first lock on you and he decides that you two are meant to be. He's used to crossing people's boundaries in a threatening way, so he'll do what he can to just affectionately pester you in the hopes that you start to get comfortable with him being so close to you. He'll sit way too close to you and say he didn't see you there, and run his hand over your arm and say he was just shooing a bug away, or grab your hand when he has something to give you, rather than just offering it towards you. Anything he can do to be in your proximity while he builds up the nerve to actually make a move.
Once you're dating: From the moment you give Seongje a knowing little smile and start returning some of his bothersome affections, he's an absolute addict for your touch. He finds himself getting in a worse and worse mood if he has to be apart from you, and the next time he sees you he's going to kiss you with everything he has until he feels like the hole in his heart has been repaired. He goes absolutely feral for even the slightest touches, watching you readjust his glasses after a fight with pure lust in his eyes and claiming that you're trying to drive him crazy on purpose. When he has you alone and you're straddling his lap or pressed against his chest, he'll get so whiny if you try to pull away, begging you for one more kiss than turns into ten more because he simply cannot have enough of you. He has 100% got in trouble at the bowling alley before because he can't keep his mind on work when you're sitting just out of reach, but he's somehow worse at listening when you're close enough to hold. He's just your hopeless lover boy psycho.
Na Baekjin
Before you're dating: Baekjin can come across very cold when people first meet him. He's not the kind of man you'd want to invade the personal space of, and everyone gives him a wide berth when he walks past, commanding every room that he's in and leaving no room for misinterpreting that he might want anything more than obedience. It's how it has to be, but it puts him in a lonely position, and when he meets you and finds his heart aching for your embrace and warmth, he realises he needs to find a way to be different around you.
Once you're dating: Honestly, Baekjin is probably the most touch-starved man on this list, his whole life feeling like he exists in solitude. So when he wins you over and starts to receive affectionate touches and kisses from you, it's easy to see the enormous effect they have on him. His eyes get glossy and unfocused when you drape your arms around his shoulders and gently hold him, and every kiss leaves his lips trembling in anticipation of more. He'll never allow himself to be so sweet with you in public, more for your safety than anything to do with his reputation, but behind closed doors Baekjin can't stand to be more than an inch away from you. He wants to make up for lost time, to embrace the love he never really had, and return it tenfold with everything he's got. You might never get a night alone again.

Silent Investment
⤷ Contains: Fluff, heavy angst to comfort, kitchen/restaurant drama, anonymous investor AU, rich reader, pure friendship, deeply protective behavior. . ⤷ Pairing: : Park Hu-min (Baku) x Reader (purely platonic / supportive best friends dynamic). ⤷ Word count: Approximately 1.2k words ⤷ Warnings:Mention of domestic violence, moderate language, emotional stress, excessive chicken consumption.
Hu-min always walked with tense shoulders. He carried the burden not only of street fights defending his territory but also of the suffocating atmosphere at home. His father was a frustrated and abusive man who drowned his failures in alcohol; shouting and banging on the walls of the small fried chicken restaurant were an everyday occurrence. Business was going from bad to worse, and when the accounts didn't balance, his father's temper became unbearable. Hu-min hated being there, but he stayed to make sure the business didn't completely collapse and to protect what little they had left.
You knew all of that. As his close friend, you'd seen the bruises he sometimes tried to hide under his jacket. You knew Hu-min was extremely proud and would never accept money from you. He preferred to manage on his own, spending entire nights awake trying to figure out how to attract customers. Math was definitely not his strong suit, school bored him, and balancing the restaurant's books was a nightmare, but he put in all his effort and tried again and again to keep the peace at home and prevent his father from exploding.
Coming from a wealthy family, you decided to secretly use your resources to change things from the shadows. One afternoon, as Hu-min was erasing a miscalculation in his notebook for the fifth time, his face etched with frustration, and his father grumbled with a bottle near the counter, the door opened. A man in an impeccable suit entered, carrying an expensive tablet.
"Good afternoon," the man said formally. "I represent a food consulting firm. We're selecting small, local businesses to finance their modernization and launch massive advertising campaigns. Everything is covered by a private investment fund."
Hu-min's father muttered a suspicious curse under his breath, but the scent of money made him listen. Hu-min immediately looked up, setting his pen aside. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the man. Although numbers gave him a headache, his streetwise instinct for detecting lies was perfect. "A private fund?" Hu-min asked, slurring his words. "No company gives away a full consultancy without taking a percentage of the net profits. What's the catch? We don't have money for scams here."
The consultant, whom you had trained the day before, smiled professionally, unfazed by Hu-min's large size.
"There are no tricks, young man. The investor is anonymous, and the restaurant will maintain 100% autonomy. Here's the contract," he said, spreading out the papers. "We just need the owner's signature to start supplying premium ingredients and remodeling the place this weekend."
Humin took the papers and began to read line by line, searching for the small print. His eyes darted around. The contract was, inexplicably, perfect. There were no unfair clauses or hidden debts. It was legitimate help, a godsend.
A few minutes later, you walked into the shop, acting completely normal, as if you'd just gotten out of class.
"Hi!" you said with a bright smile, sitting down next to Humin. "What's all this about? Do we have any important clients?"
"A consultant," Humin murmured, still looking at his paper, though his posture relaxed slightly when he saw you. "He's offering a free remodeling and marketing plan for the shop. It's… too good to be true. I'm trying to figure out who would finance something like that without asking for anything in return."
You glanced sideways at the consultant, who gave you a very subtle nod to confirm that everything was going according to plan.
"Well, the world's full of boring rich people doing charity work, isn't it?" you said dismissively, resting your chin on your hand. "Besides, your dad's chicken is the best in the area. It's only natural that someone with a good eye would want it to thrive. They should accept."
Humin's father stared at the contract, his eyes shining, seeing a real opportunity to save the business he had worked so hard to build. He looked at his son, waiting for his approval.
Humin sighed, placing the papers on the table. He glanced back at the consultant and then at you. There was a moment of silence where his eyes seemed to analyze your expression a little too much. Humin was extremely intelligent; it was almost impossible to hide anything from him. He noticed a small glimmer of anticipation in your eyes, but decided not to press the issue. Whoever that anonymous investor was, he was giving his father back hope, and that was all that mattered.
"Okay," Humin finally said, looking at his dad with a gentle smile. "Let's sign."
The following weekend, the place was completely transformed. Modern signs with warm lighting appeared, new packaging with a cool logo, and a line of delivery motorcyclists waited for orders thanks to the massive digital campaign you'd paid for. The restaurant was packed like never before.
While Humin's dad happily cooked in the back, Humin approached the table where you were eating and placed an extra plate of fries in front of you.
"On the house," he said, sitting down across from you. He looked around the noisy, lively place, then fixed his dark eyes on yours, a look filled with a deep gratitude that needed no words. "The consultant mentioned that the anonymous investor had a very specific taste in our menu… Interestingly, the same menu you always order."
You smiled broadly, taking a sip of your drink without admitting anything.
"What a coincidence," you replied innocently.
Humin let out a small laugh, the first in weeks when she felt truly light and carefree. She wasn't going to force you to say it out loud, but the bond of their friendship had become unbreakable.
"Yes, a coincidence," Humin concluded, adjusting her glasses. "Thank you for coming today, Y/N. It means a lot that you're here."

── ༝ SEONGJE REJECTED YOU ༝ ──
Pairings: Geum Seongje x Reader
Genre: Romance & Angst
Word Count: 5.1k
Summary: After transferring to Eunjang, u slowly grew close to Seongje and fell for him after mistaking his kindness for something more. When u finally confessed, he rejected u in the worst way possible, yet u still kept chasing him until u reached a point where u had no choice but to let him go.
Almost everyone in the union knows how much you like seongje. And they also know how long you’ve been chasing him..
It all started when you transferred to Eunjang and you became friends with Baku, and thats how you also became part of their circle.
You we’re hanging out with your friends when Seonge appeared, it almost feels like the world stopped. You couldn’t even hear whatever they’re fighting about because you were too focused on seongje.
Eventually you start to see him more often especially when you start to work at the convenience store. He often stay there during midnight, during your shift.
“Your total is ___ “ he just handed you the money and grab the food before walking away.
Everytime it’s your shift, he’s here. And when he’s not here, you find yourself looking for his presence. It’s like your day isn’t complete if you don’t see him.
You and Seongje grew closer eventually, and sometimes you’re having small talks with him when there’s no customer. And you find yourself laughing with him.. You find yourself being happy and comfortable around him, and sometimes you just wanna ask him if he likes you bacuse of his actions.
He even bought you a bracelet and said that it reminds him of you. He even celebrates his birthday with you even if it’s not his usual thing, and sometimes he picks you up from school and you barely spend time with your friends cause you’re always with him.
Your friends doesn’t even know who’s the guy you’re always with, and you couldn’t tell them because you know they would crash the fuck out. You’re aware about the beef between your friends and the Union, but you couldn’t bare to stay away from seongje..
Everything was going great.
Till one night when you decided to confessed your feelings after having the courage to tell him. You thought it would end well, but you were wrong.
He rejected you on the spot.
The best thing he could say is no, but you guessed he likes to play with someone’s feelings.
He laughed and looks at you “Something? you thought we had something? are you fucking kidding me? we’re not some highschool lovers so wake the fuck up” you kept your head down, you couldn’t face him because of the humiliation.
He patted your head “Ya.. I don’t do relationships so don’t get your hopes up” that was the last thing he said before he walked past you.
He didn’t hurt you physically, but you felt your heart shattered the moment those words drop.
But that didn’t stop you, It’s hard to move on from someone who let you get used to their presence. You just don’t get it.. You keep asking yourself, why did he act like that if he doesn’t even like you? Right, you were just assuming things in the first place.
Few days passed and he didn’t showed up at the convenience store, you were even planning to give him the cookies that you baked earlier. You just sighed when your shift ended and he’s still nowhere to be found.
The next day you decided to visit the bowling alley to see him, a box in hand. You walked inside and almost all the eyes there shift towards you.
A guy approached you and asked you “Hey pretty, you lost or what?”
You forced a smile and replied “is seongje here? I’m here to give him something” the guy’s smile immediately dropped when he heard the name.
He left you there standing to call seongje, a minute passed and seongje came out of the room (baekjin’s office), he looked at you and raised his eyebrow.
“what are you doing here?” he asked coldly
you smiled again and walked towards him “I baked some cookies, i thought you might want some” you handed him the box you were holding
He stared at it first before grabbing it. Your smile got wider when he grabbed it.
But your happiness doesnt lasts long when he throw it to the guy next to him. “Next time don’t bake some, I don’t like sweets” Then he walked past you again.
Your head was down and you bit your lower lip, you forced another smile and look at the guy holding the box. “Please enjoy the cookies” that was the last thing u said before u left the bowling alley.
→
It’s your shift again and you were hoping he would show up.
He did..
But he’s not alone.
He’s with the other union boys, he got cigarettes in between his fingers while his arms are wrapped around a girl’s shoulder.
Then his gaze found you, you lowered your head and refused to look. Because you know that the moment you look up again, you might break.
They found their seats and one of the Union boys starts to buy some snacks. You scan the items while still with your head lowered.
The guy furrowed his eyebrow and he stares at you and then his smile widen “ I remember you, you’re seongje’s girlfriend right?” You face starts to turn red and you looked up waving your hand while saying no.
Then seongje and the others including the girl looked at you “Woah.. Seongje got a girlfriend?” you looked at him and you found him staring.
Then the girl spoke “Ya.. You’re such an Idiot, seongje wouldn’t settle for a girl like her” then she start laughing.. Nothing is funny, nothing seems funny.
“is it true seongje? is she your girlfriend?” the girl asked seongje. He chuckled and patted her head “If i have a girlfriend why would I be with you right now?” the girl smiled and wrapped her arms around seongje’s arm.
“Well that means you’re single?” the guy infront of you asked with a grin on his face “I’m dongha btw, the cookies are great” he then left your sight.
You refused to meet Seongje’s gaze the whole time they were inside. Not till he left did you start to look up.
You sighed, he was here now but why does it feels like you don’t even wanna see him? Isn’t this what you wanted? to feel his presence again after a long day of missing it?
→
few days passed and he didn’t show up at the convenience store ever again, you barely see him everywhere unlike before when he’s always there.
You wanted to try one more time, but this time you didn’t bake—you cooked. You remembered when he told you he doesn’t like sweets so you start learning how to cook a dish you saw online.
You thought that maybe seongje might like this one. So you gave everything for that food.
You’re infront of the bowling alley entrance again, thinking twice if you should even go or nah. Then a voice came from behind you.
“What are doing here again?” it was seongje’s
You turn around and smiled at him “I cooked a dish, you said you don’t like sweets so i decided to just cook” you said handing him the container.
“I didn’t asked you to cook for me” he replied coldly. You just smiled and said “Well I insisted”
He scoff and told you to go home “But I wanna see you eat it, or we can eat together!” you walked closer to him
“I also bought some rice, we can eat it together” you wrapped your arms around his.
He yanked your arm “I don’t wanna eat with you” your smile dropped but you still force to give a smile.
“But you know eating is better when you’re with some-“ he cut you off “I don’t fucking care if it feels better to eat with someone. I never asked you to cook in the first place and you expect me to eat this?” he opened the container and flip it downward.
a tear fell from your eye “I’m sorry… I just thought you might want some” you said while lowering your head
“Well I don’t so stop doing shits like this” he was about to walk away when you grabbed his arm.
“Seongje, I like you. I still do. And it never changed even after what you told me that night” he looked back at you again and laughed.
“Stop whatever you’re planning to do” he was about to walk away again and when you grabbed his arm again.
“Then tell me, Seongje. Tell me that you don’t like me. Tell me that you hate me and I’ll stop” You know it would hurt you, but hearing it exactly from him would definitely help you.
“you really wanna hurt yourself that bad huh?” you didn’t let go of his arm.
“Fine, I don’t like you. And i fucking hate it when you do some stupid shits like this. You’re just wasting your time so stop bothering me and don’t ever show your face” That’s it. That was your final straw.
You let go of his hand and lowered your head. You grabbed the container that’s on the floor and put it inside the paper bag again.
You didn’t even spare him a glance and you just walk away. You feel like it’s just a waste of time to even look at him if he doesn’t even wanna meet your gaze.
You were lost and not like lost in place, but in your mind. Then tears start streaming down your face, you tried to wipe it off but It wont stop.
You stared at the paper bag again and you began to cry even more. You feel so stupid. Because why don’t you just get it in the first place? He doesn like you and will never be so stop forcing yourself into his life.
You found a trash bin and you threw the paper bag away, then you look on your wrist. You removed the bracelet and threw it inside the trash bin.
You wanted to erase him. Every bit of memory or things he had on you, you wanted it gone.
→
the next few weeks wasn’t easy for you, you laugh at yourself cause it feels like you were going through a break up.
But you managed. You manage to get up and get away from his ghost. You manage to forget it at least.
You spent more time time with your friends and you even found new hobbies. You didn’t quit your job not because you still wanna see him, But because you think It’s stupid to quit a job and ruin your life just because a guy rejected you.
You just act like nothing happened and go with your day.
Your life is getting better now. No late night cries, no late night vents to your friends about this “unknown” guy, and lastly no more chasing.
You just hoped that he’s also doing the same thing.
But for seongje? His life became more quiet. But it doesn’t get any better. He thinks that maybe it’s because he got used to your noise, he keeps telling himself that it’s normal.. but is it?
→
He visited the convenience store but you weren’t there. He told himself that he’s not there for you, that he’s already in this spot before you even came.
→
Seongje was holding his phone while looking at the story you posted in instragram, it’s a picture of you and Baku with a caption “me and my twin”
He stared at his phone for he doesn’t know how long before putting it back in his pocket.
He doesn’t understand what his feeling right now, he doesn’t understand why his heart aches when he sees you with someone else.
→
You were in the bowling alley with your friends, not to play but to talk to someone. Baku told you and your other friends to wait outside baekjin’s office. He got inside and you were left outside the office with your friends and the other members of union.
No one speaks and no one dares to. The tension between the two sides and the atmosphere became heavy.
Then there he is… you looked beside you and saw Seongje in the stair, he already had his gaze on you so you quickly look away.
You can’t face him, not after what happened.
You lowered your head avoiding an eye contact with him, you didn’t dare to look at him.
Then baku came out of the room and he looks so pissed. He walked towards Seongje and punched him. You stood up and you dont know why, maybe because you’re scared that the union might jump your friends? Or maybe because you’re worried and you can’t see him getting hurt.
Baku was about to throw another punch when Seongje stopped him and his fist landed on Baku’s face. Your other friends also stood up and you ran towards Baku asking him if can he stand up.
Seongje stared at both of you. He scoff when he saw you helping Baku stand up “Are you his mom or what?” It then followed with his laugh.
You stared right at him and was about to speak when Baku cut you off “Is it true Y/N?” You looked at him with a curious face.
“What are you talking about?” You asked.
“Is it true that you chased this fucker?” You froze.
It’s like the time stopped and you just wanna ran away or let the ground eat you. “i can explain” he cuts you off again.
“You let that man humiliate you? Why, Y/N?! Why didn’t you tell us” tears starts to escape your eyes.
“Let’s go, Baku” you were about to drag him out when he suddenly ran towards Seongje and throw him another punch.
But Seongje wasn’t any better, he also throw some punch at him. “Don’t ever fucking show your face infront of her” Baku threatened to ruin his face if he ever dared to get near you again.
You ran towards the two and pushed seongje, it didn’t budge him but it made him stop.
Your asked Baku if he’s okay and your other friends also ran towards baku to stop him and calm him down.
Seongje just stared at you while you’re holding baku to stop him from throwing another punch.
He looked away and lowered his head before biting his lower lip. He felt a part of him shattered when he saw you asking baku if he’s okay.
He also wanna be asked if he’s okay. He also want you to worry about him. And maybe that’s the part where he confirmed whatever his feeling right now.
He needs you.
Not in a sexual way but in a way that you’ll be beside him.
That you’ll be in his life…
Again.

You’re at a convenience store with your friends helping baku treat his bruise.
“You shouldn’t have acted like that” you scolded him for having a fight with seongje.
You smiled at him “But still.. thank you.”
“Y/N.” He looks at you with those serious eyes.
“What you did is still wrong, you should’ve told us that Seongje was treating you like that.” Your other friends nodded
“I should’ve also throw some punch to that fucker” Gotak added, you just laughed at what they said.
You forced a smile “It’s fine.. Plus it’s my fault too. I forced myself into his life when I knew that he’ll never like me”
“How long did you chase him?” Juntae asked.
“I don’t know maybe after that encounter in the rooftop” they all seemed shocked.
“Woah.. It’s been THAT long?!” Juntae even covered his mouth
“What did you even like about that guy?” Gotak asked before taking a bite from his food.
“Well the rooftop was our first encounter. Then i met him again at the convenience store I worked at. It all started when he keeps coming back at the convenience store, so whenever it’s my shift he’s always there.
We had small talks and he even gave me a bracelet, I was so confused cause I don’t know if he feels the same way… He doesn’t treat me like ‘just a friend’ it felt like we had something.”
Then sieun asked you “what mades you think you guys had something?” That made you stopped.
“He told me he doesn’t celebrate his birthday, but when his birthday came he visited my house and told me that he wanted to celebrate his birthday with me. He even thanked me for being there and that I made him felt like his day was complete.
He let my cry on his shoulder when I was so down.. He picks me up at school everyday, he even told me everything about him, and he also starts opening about his life.
To the point where it feels like I was there when he was struggling. He knows me, and I know him.”
“Do you?” You looked at sieun and gave him a confused look
“It sounds like it was Seongje’s first time having a real friend. He seems lonely for a guy who has lots of people around him.” It made you think, do you really know him?
“Maybe the version that you knew is the version that you liked, you only knew the surface even if he told you the deepest one.” Sieun added
“What do you mean?”
“Well base on what you told us, it sounds like he’s looking for a comfort. Not just in a relationship but friendship. He told you his story maybe because he’s expecting you to understand him and to made him feel like he already has a friend. He trusted you.” Sieun added
Then baku spoke “Seongje doesn’t look like the type of guy to let a person gain his trust that easily”
“Maybe what they had is his way of friendship because he doesn’t know what it feels like to have a real one, and maybe he’s scared to lose his only friend that’s why he treats you like that.
The celebration? What if he just wants to celebrate his birthday with you cause he finally got the chance to celebrate it with someone?
His day feeling complete that you were there? Maybe because he finally felt like he’s not alone.
And when he rejected you? maybe he was disappointed because you treated the frendship that he treasured into something else.”
That made you think, do you really know him? Do you really know seongje? Or… did you ever understand him?
You stood up and looked at them “I need to find him”
“Wait Y/N-“ before they could even finish their word you already sprinted to bowling alley.
You were catching your breath when you got there and the other Union members looks at you, till a guy walked towards you.
You remember him! It’s uhh… Dongha! Yeah Dongha..
“Looking for seongje?” You nodded at him
“He’s not here” you gave him a confused look “then where is he?” You asked
“He was with baekjin at the warehouse” you asked the exact location and dongha helped you to get in there.
“You owe me” you looked at Dongha and just nodded before rushing towards the gate.
You were about to open the door when you heard someone talking inside “did you ever asked me if I’m okay?” That was seongje’s voice..
You were about to leave when the door opened “What are you doing here?” You were about to speak when he cuts me off
“Go home.” He was about to walk away again when you grabbed his arms.
“I’m not here to force you to like me back” that made him stopped.
Tear starts streaming down your face “I’m sorry..” then a sob escaped your mouth.
“I’m sorry for treating our friendship into something else” Then your gaze found his eyes.
“Can we please go back?” He paused and sighed
“Do you wanna know the truth?” You nodded
“I’ll admit I like you too” your mouth slightly parted in shock..
“But before that fuckass feelings I treated you like a real friend, It wasn’t my intention to make you feel that way in the first place because you were my friend and you were special to me. But when I started liking you, I got confused and I don’t know how I’ll express my feelings so I thought what I did was a great idea…”
I was so glad when you told me that you also like me but that doesn’t make everything any better.” You looked at him confused
“What do you mean?”
He lowered his head and left out a soft laugh “Do you even see me? Do you agree to be with someone like me? I might put you in danger and I don’t want something bad to happen to you cause I’ll probably blame myself my whole life for that, so I tried to push you away.”
“All I can give to you is danger…” He added.
You held his hand “You’re more than what you think.” You comforted him.
“Don’t ever degrade yourself. I like you and that will never change, you’re not some plague that I need to ran away from and nothing bad will happen to me if you’re beside me cause your presence doesn’t made me feel scared, it made me feel safe…”
“Seongje….. I like you and I’m not forcing us to rush things, we can get to know each other more. There are many things that we knew about each other, but there’s also many things that we still need to learn.. And we can only learn about it if we’re together.
I’m not saying together as a relationship, but together like being beside each other…. Like what we had before..” he stared at you for a few seconds before smiling
“You really know how to take me back” then he walked in front of you and he laid his head on your shoulder, you let him like that and hugged him.
“I don’t know all the answers but I’m here for you if you needed me” he hugged you back
“Thank you… for staying..” and that’s the seongje you’re starting to get to know…

The first time Juntae spoke to you was on a Thursday during cheer practice.
It had been a surprisingly good day for him, the kind that didn’t stand out in any obvious way but still left him quietly hopeful. Two days earlier, during math class, you had turned around in your seat and asked to borrow a pencil. It wasn’t a moment anyone else would have thought twice about, and you certainly hadn’t lingered on it afterward—you’d used it, returned it at the end of class, and moved on without a second thought. But for Juntae, it had been different. The fact that you had even acknowledged him, spoken to him directly, and looked at him without the usual indifference he was used to had lodged itself in his mind and refused to leave. He had replayed it over and over, searching for meaning where there probably wasn’t any, convincing himself that maybe it was the start of something small.
By Thursday, that small hope had grown into something fragile but persistent. All morning, and again during lunch, he had talked to Baku and Gotak about what he planned to do. Inside his backpack was a thin plastic folder that felt heavier than anything else he carried, containing a drawing he had spent nearly two weeks working on. He had drawn you carefully from memory, building your face piece by piece in pencil strokes so light they were almost afraid to exist. He had shaded your features until they looked soft and real, surrounded you with flowers because he had once overheard someone say you liked spring, and added microscopic details he hoped you would notice. It wasn’t perfect, but to him it was something honest, something he had made with genuine effort.
Baku had been enthusiastic from the start, practically cheering him on during lunch as Juntae nervously explained his plan again and again. Gotak had been just as encouraging, insisting that you would definitely like it and calling it ‘romantic’ in a way that made Juntae blush and look away. Across from them, however, Sieun had been far less impressed. He watched the entire conversation with an emotionless expression before finally speaking up, blunt as ever, telling Juntae that he was going to embarrass himself. According to Sieun, walking up to you in front of everyone with a drawing was less of a romantic gesture and more like public execution.
The comment had silenced the table for a moment. Juntae had looked down at his tray, suddenly unsure again, the confidence he had been building all day thinning out under the weight of doubt. But Baku quickly cut in, brushing Sieun off and telling him he was being dramatic, while Gotak nudged Juntae’s shoulder and told him not to overthink it. In the end, Sieun left at the final bell, shaking his head like he didn’t want to be around for whatever disaster he was predicting. That left Juntae alone with his nerves and whatever hope the other two had managed to rebuild before shooting off to the gym for their own practice.
The gym was already loud with overlapping sounds of basketballs hitting the court, sneakers squeaking against polished wood, and coaches calling out instructions from different directions. The air smelled faintly of sweat and rubber flooring, the familiar atmosphere of after-school practice settling over everything. On one side of the gym, the basketball team was already running drills, while on the other, the cheer team had just finished a routine and was breaking apart into smaller groups. Music still echoed faintly from a speaker before cutting off, leaving behind the natural noise of movement and conversation.
Juntae stood near the door of the gym for a moment longer than he should have, gripping the straps of his backpack as he scanned the room. His eyes eventually found you among your group, laughing with the other cheerleaders as you adjusted your hair and caught your breath from practice. To him, you looked effortless in a way that made his chest tighten, like you belonged completely in the center of attention without even trying. Behind him, Baku and Gotak had noticed his hesitation and were watching closely while pretending to stretch and continue practice.
It didn’t take long for someone on your team to notice him.
Your friend Sana leaned closer to you with a grin and pointed subtly in his direction. “Hey, isn't that the huge nerd that has a crush on you?” The comment carried easily across your group, and several of the girls turned to look at him. Juntae, realizing he was being watched, immediately faced anywhere but your direction, his ears turning red as he adjusted his glasses and tried to pretend he hadn’t heard anything. You glanced over too, your expression tightening slightly as you took him in standing awkwardly near the court.
“It is. I don’t know why he’s here, not like he can play basketball,” you confirmed it with a small scoff. Your response was immediate and dismissive, and the girls around you laughed. Juntae, still too far away to hear the words clearly, only registered the sound of it—laughter that felt directed at him even if he couldn’t confirm it. Before the moment could linger, your coach called a bathroom break for herself, and the cheer team moved toward the bleachers for water and rest.
Juntae saw his opening and, despite the pounding in his chest, forced himself to walk forward. Each step felt heavier than the last, his grip tightening on the folder hidden inside his backpack before he finally pulled it out as he reached you. When he stopped in front of the group, he gave a small, nervous bow, greeting everyone at once before his attention settled on you.
“Hi. I was–um–I was wondering if I could give you something?” His voice came out softer than he intended as he struggled to maintain eye contact, his gaze drifting anywhere but directly into your eyes.
You exchanged a quick look with your teammates, a silent conversation passing between you. Whatever was said didn’t need words. You stood up from the bleachers and stepped closer to him, placing a hand against his chest and gently pushing him back as you stepped down, just enough pressure to make him falter. The contact made his entire body tense, his breath catching as he instinctively looked down at the curve of your skirt before quickly forcing his eyes away again, swallowing saliva deep in his throat.
“Sure,” you dragged out, voice high in pitch and fake all at one. Sana and the other girls held back giggles at the tone, not wanting to ruin the perfect moment.
There was a faint, nervous smile on his face that he couldn’t control as he handed over the folder with slightly shaking hands. When you opened it, the drawing inside revealed itself slowly. Even if you didn’t say it out loud, it was clear that it had been made with care. The proportions were accurate, the details thoughtful, and the surrounding flowers delicate and intentional. For a brief moment, there was something almost neutral in your expression, like you were considering it. But that moment passed quickly, replaced by something sharper, more calculated and messy.
“Aww, girls, look,” You lifted the drawing higher so the others could see it, calling their attention to it with a dramatic sweetness that didn’t match your tone. The reaction was immediate—laughter spreading through the group as the girls leaned in, some covering their mouths, others openly amused. Juntae, however, mistook it for something positive at first, his nervous smile returning as his cheeks flushed with relief, as if he had somehow succeeded.
That relief didn’t last.
Very slowly, your hands gripped each side of the sheet and you began to tear the paper in half. The girls behind you giggled, shoulders shaking and hands covering mouths as they leaned into one another.
The sound was quiet but final, and it hit him harder than anything dramatic would have. His smile faltered immediately, confusion replacing it as he let out a small, uncertain laugh, as if waiting for the joke to resolve itself. But you continued tearing until the drawing was split completely, holding the pieces up for everyone to see.
“Seriously, Juntae?” Your voice shifted as you spoke, no longer playful or sweet. “I’m one of the most known girls in school. I’m captain of the cheer team. I get with hot guys—popular guys—guys who have status and reputation. The only reputation you have is getting beat up on the daily. Stop trying to impress me. You’re only making yourself look stupider than you already are.” Each word landed heavier than the last, stripping away whatever fragile confidence he had walked in with.
Juntae stood frozen as it happened, his mouth slightly open as if he might respond, though no sound came out. His face tightened, his eyes beginning to blur almost before he realized it, and when he finally spoke, it came out broken and barely audible. “Sorry—I’m so sorry,” he turned quickly, almost stumbling as he walked away, then finally ran.
Behind him, Baku and Gotak immediately went after him, calling his name as they pushed through the gym doors. The sound of their footsteps faded quickly, leaving behind a heavy silence that the laughter slowly filled again as if nothing important had happened at all.
You watched them go, then looked down at the torn paper still in your hands before crumpling it and stuffing it into your bag without much thought. The moment already felt distant, unimportant, something to forget about before practice resumed. When your coach called everyone back, you returned to formation without hesitation, falling into place as if nothing had interrupted the rhythm of the day.
But for a brief second, your focus slipped. The image of Juntae running out of the gym lingered at the edge of your thoughts, his face red and eyes wet, though you pushed it away quickly. There was no reason to dwell on it. He was just another boy who had misread things.
“Focus,” your coach called sharply when you missed the next cue.
And the music started again.
* * *
The walk to your car after practice felt longer than usual, the kind of distance that gave people too much time to talk. The gym noise faded behind you as the group drifted across the parking lot, sneakers scuffing against pavement still warm from the day. What started as casual chatter slowly circled back to the same topic again, like it had been waiting there the entire time.
Sana was the one who brought it up first, as she usually did. She leaned in closer beside you while walking, her voice carrying that casual tone that made everything she said sound harmless at first. According to her, she had seen Juntae staring at you more times than she could count—during lunch, between classes, even in the hallways when he probably thought no one was noticing. The other girls chimed in quickly after that, laughing and adding their own observations, each one reinforcing the idea like it was some shared joke they all understood.
“I mean,” Sana said eventually, shrugging like the answer was obvious, “why don’t you just give him what he wants?”
You glanced at her immediately, your expression tightening in confusion.
“Him?” you repeated. “Are you serious?”
The idea alone sounded ridiculous to you. There was no version of your life where Juntae fit into it in any meaningful way. He wasn’t popular, he didn’t have status, and in your world those things weren’t optional—they were the baseline. Even considering him in that kind of way made something in you feel off, like it didn’t belong in the same category as the people you normally dealt with.
Sana, however, didn’t seem bothered by your reaction at all. She just laughed under her breath and waved a hand like you were missing the point entirely.
“No, not like that,” she clarified. “I mean mess with him. You know, make him think he actually has a chance, then embarrass him again later. Bigger this time. Better.”
She said it so easily, like she was describing something fun rather than something cruel. Her hands moved as she spoke, building the idea out in the air as if she could already see it happening. Around you, the other girls perked up at the suggestion, their reactions immediate and encouraging. A few of them started adding their own ideas, overlapping each other in excitement, the conversation turning sharper, louder, more animated as it went on.
“Sleep with him!” One of them laughed and shouted, something crude and careless enough that you immediately recoiled. The words cut through the group for a second before the girls burst into laughter again, clearly entertained by their own boldness.
“Ew—no way,” you said quickly, physically jerking back as if the thought itself had pushed you. Your reaction only made them laugh harder, like your disgust was part of the joke. As you reached your van, you opened the trunk for the girls to sit their bags in.
Sana didn’t drop the idea, though. If anything, she leaned into it more as everyone passed their bags to her, as if building a plan she was proud of.
“Okay, listen,” she said, raising her hands as if organizing a strategy only she could see. “Your parents are still out of town for two weeks, right?”
You hesitated slightly but nodded.
“Perfect. Throw a party this weekend. Invite Juntae. Invite his friends too, so it looks normal.” Her voice grew more animated as she spoke, the plan forming faster with every sentence. “Then take him to your room. Do some foreplay, make him think you’re actually going to sleep with him or something—just enough to get him worked up.”
You didn’t respond right away. You just listened, your expression unreadable as she continued.
“And then,” she went on, smiling now like she’d reached the best part, “when he’s there, go to the bathroom and call me. I’ll wait like two minutes, then walk in recording.” She laughed, clearly pleased with herself. “Make sure he’s not wearing pants or something stupid like that. It’ll be even funnier. He’ll look like a total creep and a loser.”
The other girls immediately reacted with excitement, laughing and adding their approval, feeding into the energy until it felt less like a suggestion and more like a shared plan they were already committed to.
“Yeah, whatever.” You dismissed, letting the girls pile in while you stood there for a moment, taking in the weight of what had been said.

Lunch on Friday felt louder than usual, like the entire cafeteria had decided to amplify itself just enough to make conversation harder to ignore. Trays clattered, chairs scraped, and clusters of students leaned into each other with the kind of casual intimacy that only came from repetition. For you, it was normal. For Juntae, it still felt like something he had to navigate carefully, like every glance in his direction carried weight.
You had to apologize to him first, well, make him think you were. Sana thought he wouldn't come to the party after what happened yesterday, so she insisted you had to ‘make things right’ so the plan would go smoothly.
He sat a little apart from everyone else, as he usually did, shoulders slightly hunched over his tray. He wasn’t really eating—just moving food around absently, his attention drifting in and out of whatever Baku and Gotak were saying. The bruise of what happened in the gym hadn’t fully left him yet. It still lingered in the way he avoided eye contact with his friends for too long, or the way his fingers tightened around his fork when Sieun pointed it out.
When you appeared beside the table, he didn't notice you at first.
You didn’t make yourself known immediately. Instead, you paused there like you were deciding whether you even belonged in that space, then softened your expression in a way that felt almost unfamiliar compared to earlier. There was something carefully constructed about it—gentler, quieter, more controlled. When you finally spoke, your voice carried a tone that didn’t match the sharpness he had heard in the gym.
“Hey.”
Juntae looked up quickly, almost startled. “Oh—hi.”
There was a brief hesitation where neither of you spoke, just the noise of the cafeteria filling the gap. Then you exhaled softly, sitting down and lightly grabbing his forearm in fake sympathy. You looked down as if choosing your words carefully.
“About what happened yesterday,” you started, then paused again, letting the sentence hang just long enough to feel intentional. “I think I was kind of harsh.”
His expression changed immediately. Confusion first, then something closer to amazement or disbelief. He sat up a little straighter without meaning to, like he wasn’t sure he was hearing you correctly.
“You were?”
You nodded slowly with a hum, as if conceding something difficult. “I didn’t really think about how it might’ve come across.” It wasn’t an apology, not exactly, but it was close enough that it made something in him loosen. Juntae blinked a few times, searching your face for anything that might suggest sarcasm or a hidden joke. He didn’t find it. “I just…felt bad after. You didn’t deserve all of that in front of everyone.” You continued before he could start to overthink it.
Behind you, one of the girls at your table watched quietly, but didn’t interrupt. Your tone stayed steady, sympathetic in a way that sounded believable if someone didn’t know you well enough.
Juntae lightly shrugged, eyes flipping between you and his group. “I mean… I guess I shouldn’t have just walked up like that.”
You shook your head once, lightly dismissing that idea. “No, it’s not that.” A small pause. “It’s fine. Really.” That was the moment his guard started to lower. Not completely, but enough that his posture relaxed just a little, enough that he looked less like he was bracing for impact. Then you added, almost casually, “You know, I actually felt kind of bad about how it ended.”
His eyes flickered to you again.
“So I was thinking,” you continued, letting your voice soften even more, “you could come to my house tomorrow."
That got his attention fully. Even his friends looked shocked, Baku shoulder bumped Gotak who returned an excited smile.
“A party,” you clarified. “My place. I have a pool and my parents are out of town, it’s just going to be people from school.”
The words landed slowly, like he was trying to process each one separately. Juntae’s expression tightened with uncertainty.
“Me?”
You nodded like it was obvious. “Yeah. You and your friends too, if you want. It’s not a big deal.”
Juntae hesitated. “I don’t know… I mean, I wouldn’t really fit in.” That answer was predictable, almost rehearsed. You tilted your head slightly, as if considering it, then gave him a small, reassuring smile. The simplicity of it seemed to affect him more than anything else. He looked down for a moment, then back up again, still unsure but visibly wavering.
“Just come. I’ll be with you even if no one else is.” You offer a smile. There was a pause where he seemed to weigh every possible outcome at once. Then, slowly, he nodded.
“Okay… I’ll come.”
The agreement settled into the space between you, quiet but final. You smiled again, a little brighter this time, and stood up as if the conversation had naturally ended there.
“Good.”
* * *
Saturday came faster than it should have.
The house was louder than usual, filled with the controlled chaos of a party trying to look effortless. The music was a dull hum that only acted as a backtrack to the atmosphere. Laughter echoed through rooms, and clusters of students filled every available space like they had earned to be there. From where Juntae stood on the sidewalk, it looked like exactly what you had promised: normal, social, harmless—just students from school and the promise of a good time.
You noticed him from your bedroom window the moment he stepped inside, lingering near the entrance for a second too long as he took everything in. He looked overwhelmed, but not unwelcome—just unsure where he was supposed to exist in a place like this. Baku and Gotak were nearby, immediately pulling him in with familiar energy, guiding him further inside before he could overthink leaving.
You didn’t go to approach him right away.
Instead, you waited.
You watched as he disappeared from your sightline, making sure he was somewhere downstairs.
By the time you finally did descend downstairs, he was standing near the edge of the living room, slightly more relaxed than before but still out of place. When he saw you standing casually at the bottom of the steps in the pink tank top and matching skirt that you always wore every Wednesday, he straightened up subconsciously.
“Hey,” you said leaning on the wall beside him, like nothing unusual had ever happened between you.
“Hi,” he answered, a little quieter than you.
“Can you come with me for a second?” You tilted your head toward the stairway
He looked at the two boys with him, and that hesitation returned briefly. They nodded at him excitedly, Baku even throwing a fist in the air. He nodded his head once, following as you led him towards the steps.
The noise of the party faded. Each step made the house feel further away, until the music was nothing more than an afterthought behind the beating of his heart. His footsteps were careful behind you, like he was afraid of making noise in a space he didn’t fully feel welcome in.
When you reached your room, you opened the door and stepped inside first, letting him follow. The room was quieter than everything downstairs. You had your walls decorated with fairy lights, pictures of you with your friends and your team, and album covers. Everything felt dimmer, more intimate and domestic. The door clicked shut behind him.
Juntae stood on the carpet, unsure whether he was supposed to sit or stay standing. His hands hung awkwardly at his sides.
You turned slightly toward him, still calm, still composed. “Just relax,” you said lightly.
He nodded once, though it didn’t really settle him. A pause followed—long enough for the atmosphere to shift, for the reality of being alone in a closed room to register more clearly. Juntae looked around briefly, then back at you, waiting for something to happen next.
“Sit.” You instructed, watching as he nervously made his way over to your bed. Your covers were fluffy, and it left the material sticking to his sweaty palms. You smiled from where you still stood at the door. He looked so innocent, you wondered if he really thought you liked him.
You slowly made your way to him, each step crossing a line that you had honestly forgotten all about. Your friends were by the pool where you had left when you originally made your way to your room. Sana was certain she would be beside her phone when you called, but suddenly you didn't want to call. You finally had a guy in your bedroom that looked at you like you hung the moon, and that wasn't easy to come by. Even if you didn’t feel that way about Juntae, what's wrong with letting him think you did for the night?
“Do you really like me, Juntae? Why?” you stood in front of him, legs slipping in between him. He looked up at you, and your hands snaked into his hair as if by instinct, pushing it back and feeling it in between your fingers. You notice the bob of his throat as he swallows, mouth opening but no sound coming out.
“I like you because…because you’re you. Even if you act mean sometimes. Even when you fake being nice to me and I know that you are but I fall for it anyway. I like the way you laugh with your friends, and the way you lead your team, the way you’re so effortlessly pretty. I like how, even when you want to be mean to me, a part of you questions it; like you’re putting on a show you don’t really believe. I like—”
You cut him off with a press of your lips to his. His eyes go wide, and he doesn't get to kiss back before you pull away. He swallows hard and heavy in the back of his throat, eyes chasing yours like he didn’t want it to end. His hands lay flat against his thighs now, and you smile down at him with practiced ease.
“You can touch me, ya’know?” You stroke his hair once more. He nods once in acknowledgement, right hand shakily coming up to your hip. You let him revel in the moment before speaking again, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Why do you like me even after I make fun of you?”
This time, he doesn't answer right away, or even after a moment. He just looks up at you, those same eyes that laugh with his friends, or those same eyes that tear up after you’ve made him feel small again.
“I’m a fool, I guess. I wait for the moment you’ll change your mind. The moment you realize that any other guy is a waste of time. Because I’m human, too. Because my emotions won't let me let you go that easily.”
You smile, letting yourself lean down again to connect your lips. This time you don't pull away fast, and he gets to move his lips against yours. He moves strategically, as if he’s never kissed before but thought about doing it a million times, which is likely. You sigh against his mouth, moving your body to straddle him on the edge of your bed. His hands move up to the small of your back, a respectful yet intimate place to hold you.
You take control of the kiss, slipping your tongue into his mouth and letting him clumsily explore yours. It's not new to you—making out—yet it feels different with Juntae, like it was a natural thing to do. You let your hips move against his lap, sliding over him with a kind of slow intimacy that you usually didn’t allow yourself to feel when sleeping around with guys
He shockingly breaks the kiss first, letting his lips dance around your neck as he lets out little noises, getting worked up from the friction against him. Your arms rest on his shoulders, both hands tugging on his hair. The feeling of him pushing against you through his jeans makes your stomach flip, and you lean your head back and your breathing gets heavier.
“Fuck,” You pant out, hips grinding harder into his, leaning your head back more as you let his lips kiss your neck and his hand slowly trail down under your skirt. He didn’t squeeze, just laid his hands on you as if to feel what it was like.
You stood abruptly, making your way around him onto the bed. He turned to look at you, and you smiled back at him. He swallowed nervously before he turned his body onto the bed. You leaned back and let him climb onto you until you were face to face again and breathing uneven. You grabbed his hand, guiding him to trace your frame. He let himself be moved, because honestly he couldn't even think straight anymore, and the feeling of you in his hands was surreal.
You laid back, keeping your eyes on him as you let your legs drop open. You looked at him with a certain kind of face, and he swallowed deep in his throat. He slid down to your stomach, kissing the small amount of skin he could reach. You sighed, arching up into his touch as he moved lower. He settled between your thighs, breathing in your heat as the noise from downstairs played like a backtrack to your pleasure.
* * *
After the party, things were supposed to go back to normal. And they were, from the outside at least.
Monday had arrived like nothing had changed. The hallways were the same, crowded with familiar voices and routines that reset themselves without effort. You slipped back into your usual place among your friends as if the weekend had been nothing more than another passing distraction, a failed attempt that would be relieved. Juntae was there too, just like always, moving through the edges of the school like he belonged slightly outside of it.
At first, it really did feel the same.
The first time Sana noticed him staring at you again in the hallway, you called him out the way you used to—sharp, casual, loud enough for people to hear. You had a comment meant to sting, meant to remind him where he stood. But something faltered halfway through. The insult didn’t land, instead it caught.
Not in him—in you.
Juntae turned toward you like he always did. But instead of shrinking immediately or looking away fast, he just looked at you. Like he was waiting. Like he knew you didn't mean whatever you were going to say, and for a split second too long, you didn’t continue.
The pause stretched—long enough that Sana’s hand came up to your shoulder as if to shake you back to reality.
You recovered quickly, of course. You always did. The sentence came out sharp, clean, harsh to anyone but you two. But something had already shifted in that brief gap.
Juntae didn’t react the way he used to. He didn’t flinch, laugh awkwardly, or scramble to bow in apology. He just gave a small nod, like he’d heard you, like it mattered less than it should have, and walked away, unaffected in a way that didn’t fit him.
And that was the part that stayed with you longer than it should have.
* * *
Over the next few days, it happened again in little moments.
You’d say something designed to cut him down in front of others, expecting the usual reaction—the silence, the embarrassment, the visible collapse inward.
But it didn’t come the same way anymore.
Sometimes he just looked at you briefly and said nothing, sometimes he gave a quiet response and moved on. And sometimes—worse than anything—you could swear he was holding back something like amusement, like he understood a joke no one else had been told. Not enough for anyone else to notice, but enough that if you were paying attention, really paying attention, it started to feel like you weren’t the one setting the tone anymore.
It made you more irritated than you expected.
At the same time, you found yourself drifting back into your usual patterns. The boys who actually fit your world—the ones with status, confidence, easy smiles that didn’t require effort or sincerity. The ones who talked to you like everything was already decided, like they knew they could have you just by being in a certain standard.
It should have felt normal. It did, at first.
But something kept slipping. Conversations felt flatter, attention felt temporary. Even when they looked at you the way they were supposed to, it didn’t settle the same way it used to. And every so often, without meaning to, your eyes would catch Juntae at the edge of a room or across the courtyard.
And he would already be looking away before you could tell what expression he had been wearing.
That should have made things easier, but they didn’t.
———
One night, long after practice had ended and the school had emptied out of noise, you found yourself sitting in your room with frustration plastered all over your face.
Usually after games, you found a hot player, someone from the other team who had usually just lost and was in the mood to let some anger out. Today, though, was the one time your team had lost, and happy basketball players aren't as good and angry ones.
It started when you dropped your bag on the floor. You had immediately gone into your drawer, seeking your wand vibrator that you used for nights where you just needed to loosen up without a boy around. It started okay, but it didn’t feel right. You couldn’t get the angle right, and it felt less like pleasure and more like pressure.
The second toy wasn't any better, a purple one that went inside. You slipped it in with high hopes, but only ended even more frustrated. You groaned into your hand, mindlessly reaching for your phone on the nightstand.
You didn’t really think before you called him.
It felt less like a decision and more like something that had been building for too long to ignore.
When he answered, there was a pause before he spoke.
“Hello?”
Your voice came out steadier than you expected.
“Come over.”
Another pause.
“…Now?”
“Yes.”
You didn’t explain. You didn’t need to.
He showed up not long after.
The night air clung to him when he stepped inside, quiet and cautious in a way that didn’t match the boy people at school talked about anymore. He stood near the entrance for a second like he was assessing whether this was still the same version of you he had become used to dealing with, or the version that treated him right.
You shut the door behind him.
The silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable. It was charged in a way neither of you acknowledged directly.
“You’ve been acting weird,” you said finally, crossing your arms as if that would make the statement less significant.
Juntae tilted his head slightly.
“So have you.”
That answer affected you differently than it would have if Saturday never happened. He wasn’t scared, or talking in the nerdy tone that he did when he used to think of you as higher than him. You stared at him for a second too long, annoyed at how easily he said it.
“That’s not what I meant,” you replied quickly.
He didn’t move closer, or acknowledge the way you had corrected yourself so he didn't think something different. He just stood there, calm in a way that didn’t match the version of him everyone else still believed in. He looked at you with a certain look, one that told you what you had been trying to avoid for the longest time last weekend: the power you used to have over him wasn't as strong as it used to be.
Saturday had changed his perspective on things. Neither of you was pretending it hadn’t happened, and neither of you was reacting to it the same way anymore. You had started seeing him less as a nerd, and in turn, he started seeing you less as something to be scared of. He saw the way you acted around guys now, how you played a routine you didn't really think was worth it anymore. He even saw the way you left tonight's game, saw the need bubbling off your body as you strutted off the sidelines after the final cheer. When you called him, it had surprised him honestly, because he wasn't expecting you to reach out again so soon. But his plan was already thought out, and he never intended on showing you a side of him that you could have as weak again.
“I know why you called tonight,” He stated, eyes reaching yours for a brief moment before looking back away.
You didn't answer him with words. Instead, you stepped closer, the frustration from the game and the way he’d been acting these past weeks boiling over into a desperate need. You reached out, grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him into a kiss.
You stayed like that, messy and controlled as you led him clumsily upstairs into your room. The shift in power was almost excruciating. You were the one initiating, pulling him harshly with hunger, but the way he let you pull him—without the stuttering or the nervous shaking—told you he was in complete control of his own reactions.
As soon as your backs hit the mattress, you scrambled to get his clothes off, your fingers clumsy and hurried. Juntae didn't rush though. He let you strip him, his eyes locked on yours with a heavy, knowing intensity. When you finally pulled his boxers and pants off, his cock sprang free, already hard, pulsing with a need that mirrored your own.
You sucked in a breath, legs parting to welcome him. You didn't want the foreplay, you wanted the friction, the release. You laid your head back, allowing him to take initiative. He reached down, gripping himself and guiding the head of his cock against your soaking heat. You were dripping, left aching with need and frustration from the earlier stress.
"Do it," you breathed, your voice cracking into a desperate plea.
Juntae didn't hesitate anymore. He gripped your hips, his sweaty fingers digging into your skin. He took his time sinking into you, each slow grind pulling a whine from your throat. You moaned into your hand as he buried himself deep inside you, filling you completely. The sensation was overwhelming—far better than any toy, or even the guys who promised you a good time. Maybe it was because he took time, or because he cared enough to wait for you to get used to him. He leaned down, whispering in your ear checking on you for about a minute. You nodded when you wanted him to move, when you felt frustrated and needy. He was hot, solid, and stretching you wide.
The first thrust had you both whimpering. He started slow, controlled drags of his cock in and out of your cunt. He didn't stay slow for long, he began to thrust into you with a rhythmic, punishing intensity. Every thrust slammed his pelvis against yours, the sound of wet flesh slapping together filling the quiet, dimly lit room. You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, feeling every inch of him.
"Is this what you wanted?" Juntae groaned, his voice strained and devoid of the old hesitation. He leaned down, kissing in the crook of your neck as he hammered into you. "You wanted me, right?"
You couldn't even form a sentence, only letting out broken moans and whimpers. The power dynamic had flipped entirely. You were pinned beneath him, your body reacting to every command his muscles gave. He shifted his angle, hitting the spongey spot inside you with every deep plunge, sending electric shocks of pleasure through your spine.
“You used to hate me, didn't you? Look at you taking my cock now,” one of his hands came up to squeeze at your nipple. Your walls clamped tight around him, pulsing in rhythmic waves. Juntae felt it, his pace faltering for a moment, his breath coming in harsh, ragged gasps.
"Gonna cum." he grunted, his muscles tensing. “Where can I cum?”
“Inside—Please, fuck.”
You arched your back, eyes rolling back as your orgasm hit first, a violent explosion of pleasure that left you shaking. Seconds later, Juntae let out a low growl and thrust one last time, burying himself as deep as possible as he came. You felt the hot, thick jets of his cum filling you, pulsing inside you in heavy bursts.
He collapsed on top of you, his chest heaving, the weight of his body a comforting pressure. For a long time, neither of you spoke. The only sound was the synchronized rhythm of your breathing.
Slowly, the adrenaline faded, replaced by a heavy, warm exhaustion. Juntae didn't pull away immediately, he stayed curled against you, his skin damp with sweat. He shifted, pulling the duvet over both of your naked bodies.
You felt a strange sense of peace. The frustration was gone, replaced by a quiet intimacy that felt more honest than anything you'd experienced in a long time. You rested your head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat slow as he caught his breath.
Juntae wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer into his side. There was no more pretending, no more roles to play. You weren't just a cheerleader he had a crush on anymore , and he was no longer the nerd who you made fun of. As the moonlight filtered through the curtains, you both drifted off into a deep, dreamless sleep, tangled together in the quiet of the night.
This is actually so buns omgosh.

Yeon Si-eun
No matter how intelligent, composed, or intimidating Si-eun becomes, you'll always look at him and think, "That's my adorable little brother."
You still ruffle his hair whenever you walk past him, completely ignoring his quiet protests about how it ruins his hairstyle.
Every birthday, you somehow find baby photos of him and proudly show them to anyone willing to look while he silently questions why he even invited you.
He acts annoyed whenever you call him "my baby brother," but he has long since accepted that there's absolutely no winning against you.
If someone praises him for being mature, you'll smile proudly before adding, "He's still the same kid who used to fall asleep reading books with them on his face."
Whenever he forgets to eat because he's studying, you're already standing beside him with a packed lunch and a look that says, Don't argue.
He secretly finds your fussing comforting, even if he'll never admit it out loud. It reminds him that someone is always looking out for him.
If he comes home exhausted or injured, your first instinct is to gently check him over while muttering about how your "poor baby brother" works too hard.
He never says thank you in a dramatic way, but he'll quietly finish every meal you make and leave the empty dishes where you'll find them.
Deep down, Si-eun knows that no matter how old he gets, he'll always have an older sister who loves him unconditionally—and although he'd never say it, that thought brings him a great deal of comfort.
Ahn Su-ho
Su-ho insists he's a grown man, yet you still pinch his cheeks whenever he flashes that mischievous grin.
Every time he gets into another fight, your first reaction is grabbing the first-aid kit while scolding him like he's ten years old again.
He purposely exaggerates his injuries just to hear you fuss over him because he secretly enjoys being spoiled by his older sister.
You'll proudly tell everyone that he was the cutest child imaginable, much to his endless embarrassment.
He constantly steals food off your plate because, according to him, "Older sisters are legally required to share."
If anyone insults him, you're already glaring at them before Su-ho even realizes what's happening.
He loves resting his head on your shoulder during quiet moments, pretending he's only doing it because he's tired.
Whenever you're shopping together, he'll carry every single bag while complaining dramatically that you're making your "cute little brother" work too hard.
He absolutely melts whenever you tell him you're proud of him, even if he immediately covers it with a joke.
No matter how much he jokes about your overprotectiveness, he wouldn't trade having you as his older sister for anything.
Oh Beom-seok
You have never once looked at Beom-seok and thought of him as anything other than your precious little brother who deserves all the love in the world.
Every compliment you give him is genuine because you know how rarely he believes kind words about himself.
Whenever he apologizes unnecessarily, you gently remind him that he never has to earn your affection.
You make sure he always has a warm meal waiting because you worry he'll forget to take care of himself.
If he has a bad day, you'll quietly sit beside him until he's ready to talk, never forcing him to open up before he's comfortable.
He treasures every handmade gift or note you give him, keeping them tucked safely away where no one else will find them.
You always celebrate his smallest achievements as though he won an international award, making him blush every single time.
Sometimes you'll simply smile at him and say, "You're still my adorable baby brother," causing him to hide his face in embarrassment.
Even during his darkest moments, you never stop believing that he's worthy of kindness, patience, and unconditional love.
Knowing that you see him with such warmth slowly helps him believe he might deserve that kindness himself.
Kang Woo-young
Woo-young constantly claims he's too cool to be treated like your little brother, yet you ignore him every single time.
You still call him embarrassing childhood nicknames whenever you want to tease him.
Whenever he styles his hair, you'll dramatically tell him he looked even cuter with messy bedhead.
He acts offended, but secretly loves that you're always paying attention to him.
You never leave a store without asking if your baby brother wants a snack, and he somehow always says yes.
If someone flirts with him in front of you, you'll jokingly tell them he's still your tiny baby, making him groan in embarrassment.
He complains loudly every time you straighten his collar or fix his hair before leaving the house.
Despite all his protests, he never actually steps away when you're fussing over him.
When he's feeling discouraged, your confidence in him is often the thing that helps him get back on his feet.
To everyone else he's confident and charismatic, but to you he'll always be the little brother whose hand you used to hold while crossing the street.
Park Hu-min
Hu-min absolutely embraces the fact that you're always calling him your cutest baby brother.
He'll dramatically respond with, "I'm the favorite sibling, aren't I?" every single time.
You never miss an opportunity to hug him, and he happily hugs you back just as tightly.
He proudly tells his friends that his older sister is the coolest person ever, even if it embarrasses you.
If you're having a bad day, he's immediately trying to cheer you up because he wants his big sister smiling again.
He'll happily carry your bags, open doors, or help with chores while insisting it's simply what little brothers are supposed to do.
Whenever you buy him food, he thanks you with the brightest smile imaginable.
You constantly remind him to get enough sleep because he has a habit of overworking himself.
Every family gathering somehow ends with you telling another embarrassing story from his childhood while he laughs along with everyone else.
He genuinely loves being your little brother and never once doubts how much the two of you care about each other.
Go Hyun-tak
Hyun-tak may be tall and athletic, but you still instinctively pat his head whenever you see him.
You often joke that he's just a giant puppy disguised as your little brother.
Every time he visits, you ask whether he's eating enough because you're convinced he burns through food faster than anyone alive.
He laughs every single time you call him cute, though his ears always turn a little pink.
If he's injured from training, you're immediately fussing over him while he sheepishly promises he'll be more careful.
He happily helps you carry heavy things because he likes feeling useful to his older sister.
Whenever you're together, the atmosphere feels warm and comfortable because neither of you has to pretend to be anything you're not.
You constantly tell him how proud you are of the kind, dependable person he's become.
Even as an adult, he still enjoys hearing you call him your baby brother because it reminds him of home.
If anyone ever questioned whether he was loved growing up, he'd immediately point to you as proof that he absolutely was.
Seo Jun-tae
Jun-tae blushes every single time you introduce him as your adorable little brother.
You make it your mission to encourage him whenever he doubts himself.
Even simple achievements earn enthusiastic praise from you because you know how hard he works.
He always feels safer when you're around, knowing you'll stand beside him no matter what.
You occasionally bring him homemade food just because you thought he might like it.
If someone tries to make him feel small, you're the first person reminding him how capable he truly is.
He gets embarrassed whenever you fix his hair or straighten his uniform before school.
Despite that embarrassment, he never tells you to stop because your affection means everything to him.
Whenever he's nervous about something, your encouragement gives him enough confidence to face it.
To you, he'll forever be your sweet little brother, no matter how much he grows.
Geum Seong-je
Seong-je insists he's far too intimidating to be called cute, which only encourages you to do it more often.
You grin every time he rolls his eyes after hearing "That's my adorable baby brother."
He pretends your teasing doesn't affect him, but the tiny smile he fails to hide says otherwise.
If anyone else tried treating him like a child, he'd shut it down immediately—but somehow he lets you get away with it.
You always remind him that beneath all the confidence, he'll always be your little brother first.
Sometimes you'll smooth his hair back just because you feel like it, and he'll tolerate it with exaggerated annoyance.
He secretly enjoys having someone who loves him without expecting anything in return.
Whenever he accomplishes something impressive, you're cheering louder than anyone else in the room.
Even when life gets complicated, spending time with you lets him relax in a way he rarely can elsewhere.
Although he'll never admit it directly, he feels incredibly lucky to have an older sister who still sees him with so much affection.
Na Baek-jin
Baek-jin has long accepted that, in your eyes, he'll never stop being your precious baby brother.
You greet him by fixing his hair or brushing imaginary dust off his jacket despite his quiet sighs.
He rarely reacts outwardly when you call him cute, but he never asks you to stop.
Whenever he skips meals because he's busy, you're already placing food in front of him with a look that leaves no room for argument.
If someone mistakes his silence for loneliness, you're quick to point out that he's always had someone in his corner.
You still remember every little milestone from his childhood, and occasionally bring them up just to make him roll his eyes.
He's noticeably calmer around you because he never feels like he has to keep his guard up.
On difficult days, he'll quietly stop by just to spend time with you, even if neither of you says much.
He may appear cold to everyone else, but with you he'll occasionally let out a small, genuine smile that almost no one else gets to see.
No matter how capable, respected, or feared he becomes, you'll always gently remind him, "You'll always be my cutest baby brother," and somewhere deep down, those words mean more to him than he'll ever admit.

TWO KITTENS
SUM. now that you and hanrim are living together, you suggest that you both get a cat. what you never imagined was that you would be fighting for hanrim’s attention. let alone with a cat. but oh, you will.
(TYAL MLST) . im hanrim x fem!reader · est. relationship, domestic fluff, jealous!reader, making out, suggestive themes
it was your idea to get the cat. to be fair, you’ve always dream of having a pet and a cat just seemed like the safest option. hanrim wasn't sure at first, though, but she couldn't deny you anything.
it's not that she was against the idea, but hanrim was the mature and responsible one in the relationship, and this position naturally came with always being the one to see things through analytical lenses. you, on the other hand, was purely driven by emotions, mainly excitement.
so you thought a cat would be a perfect idea, especially now that you lived together. so when hanrim gave in, the next day you were both already back home with a small, white furred kitten. the two of you agreed to name her snow due to her fur. it was your idea.
since you had been the one to beg for the cat, you never imagined snow would end up being the cause for your silent frustration. yes, you loved the cat, she was adorable and loving. but mostly, snow seemed to be obsessed with hanrim since the day she came home. she was an extraordinarily clingy cat and quickly developed an unhealthy amount of devotion and attachment to hanrim.
you, who was used to having your girlfriend's attention all to yourself—just how you liked it—now found yourself having to share your girlfriend. now, you aren’t exactly a fan of sharing, but this went beyond everything you could handle. snow required hanrim’s attention all the time, and hanrim, who grew attached to the cat as the days went by, seemed to be equally obsessed with her.
it felt ridiculous being jealous of a cat, you couldn't deny that, but having to swallow your jealousy was even more ridiculous. you were terrible at swallowing your emotions, but this time you felt like you truly had no choice.
it all started on saturday, snow's second day at home. she wouldn't stop following hanrim around. even when hanrim was cleaning, the small kitten just stayed near her, her tail brushing hanrim’s legs in an eagerness to get her attention. incapable of leaving the sweet creature down there, hanrim picked her up and continued on cleaning while holding snow with her free hand.
"well, aren't you clingy?"
meanwhile, the cat rested her head on hanrim’s neck and meowed. every time hanrim would run her hands through snow's fur, the small animal would purr with pure delight.
the next day, a package for you arrived while hanrim was out getting groceries. you are quick to open it and see the beautiful lingerie you had ordered. you wanted to surprise hanrim, and you thought of doing it tonight, thrilled at the mental image of hanrim’s eyes darkening at the sight.
you posed for snow while the cat looked at you with a slightly curious gaze.
is this really feminism? you wondered as you stared at yourself in the mirror.
it’s not not feminism, your mind supplied unhelpfully. the lingerie you’ve picked wasn’t even that risqué.
it was just that – you didn’t want to be inauthentic. you didn’t want to be something you wasn’t. more than anything, you was scared hanrim would laugh at you, because this wasn’t you, and this wasn’t something you both did. most of your quality time together was spent in comfortable, baggy shirts and pajama pants.
"so, what do you think?"
snow softly meowed.
"why thank you," you smiled, cutely bowing to the cat.
hanrim was back like an hour later, carrying a bag full of groceries. you usually went grocery shopping with her—in fact, it was something you both loved doing together—but this time you had to make up an excuse since you were expecting your package.
"how's my girl?" you heard hanrim say from the door, and assuming she meant you, the latter walked towards your girlfriend only to find her picking up the cat from the floor and petting her head. "i see you missed me too."
you stood there and watched, clenching your teeth. when hanrim finally looked at you, only a warm smile appeared on her lips as she passed you and headed to the kitchen, snow still on her arms. you had no choice but to swallow how hurt you felt by this, as ridiculous as it might sound.
hanrim always had all her attention, eyes and heart on you. was that about to change, you wondered? would this be your new routine, snow being hanrim’s new priority?
a few hours later, while you were making dinner—one of the few times you did, since hanrim did most of the cooking because she’s great at it, just like she was at everything—you heard hanrim on the phone. you imagined it was geundae from the way the conversation went.
"no, no, she's the cutest thing i've seen in my entire life," hanrim said through the phone. "well, yeah, she's very clingy, but that's what makes me like her so much."
a few seconds of silence, and then you heard hanrim’s voice again.
"who would’ve thought a furry little thing would make me so soft? not me.”
you couldn't help going to the living room to listen closely, your eyes shining with curiosity. however, hanrim had already hung up when you reached the living room.
"was that geundae?"
"yeah, i was telling him about snow," hanrim smiled.
oh. snow. of course she was telling him about the cat. of course it was snow.
"you know what?" you said all of the sudden, taking a deep breath. "come here, i have something to show you."
hanrim stood up carefully, inspecting you curiously. you took her hand and guided her towards your room. you decided that you weren’t going to wait anymore.
the lingerie was hanging on the rack inside the closet. hanrim sat on the bed as you took the undergarments and hid it in your arms.
"wait here," you told hanrim before hurrying up to the bathroom.
a few minutes later, you came out of the bathroom with the intimate things on. you leaned back against the wall, sucking in a breath. you felt like you’d stepped out on a podium in front of a live audience. like walking to class in your underwear.
it was excruciating, but also kind of thrilling.
hanrim‘s eyes scanned you from top to bottom, as if she didn't want to miss a single detail. she opened her mouth to say something, almost like she was having trouble breathing at the delicious sight in front of her, when suddenly snow came out of nowhere and made a quick dash for hanrim’s lap, taking her by surprise.
and just like that, hanrim’s attention was redirected to the cat. she was giggling and holding the animal, lifting her up into the air.
"look who's here," she said, her voice soft. "i was already wondering where you'd gone."
you bit your lip, your cheeks hot with frustration.
"oh, honey, i'm sorry. i think snow's hungry," hanrim said as she stood up and started heading to the kitchen to feed the cat. she kissed you on the head as she walked past you. "the lingerie looks great on you, by the way."
you didn't say anything; you simply changed back into your pajamas and threw the stupid undergarments into the closet with more force than necessary. you didn't even bother finishing dinner. you weren’t hungry anymore, and if hanrim was, well, then she and snow could make dinner together. fuck it. you are going to take a shower, curl up under a warm blanket, and watch something mind-numbing on tv.
clueless to everything, hanrim finished dinner herself, assuming you were just tired and didn't feel like cooking. at the end of the day, you aren’t usually the one who cooked, so it didn’t seem all that strange.
you both ate in silence, the cat glued to hanrim’s legs, purring contently.
"you already ate, you silly baby," hanrim cooed at the feline, smiling down at her. snow purred even louder when hanrim scratched under her chin. "good girl, snow. look at you, you're so sweet and well-behaved. that’s my good kitten."
you listened in silence while pushing your food around on your plate. it almost seemed phony. your girlfriend wasn’t this soft with you when you first met—you’re mentally kicking yourself for inviting this puss to break her just like that.
hanrim stood up, her plate already empty. she glanced at your plate, which was still practically full, untouched.
"eat," hanrim said, her voice firm. she leaned down and kissed your forehead softly. "don’t go to bed with an empty stomach. i’ll go take a shower."
as she walked away, snow meowed loudly and quickly followed behind her.
you sighed, setting your fork down. of course. even the damn cat can’t stand to be apart from her for two seconds.
the next day was exactly the same. and the day after that. it didn’t take long before you started wondering if this was just how things were going to be now—your girlfriend having eyes only for the cat.
did you regret getting snow? well, not exactly...but sort of. you found the small creature incredibly cute, of course. you had been the one who wanted a cat in the first place, and you did love her. but you never imagined you would feel abandoned and neglected by hanrim the second snow entered both of your lives. if you had known, maybe you wouldn’t have gotten her.
you loved the idea of a pet, but nothing—nothing—could replace how special hanrim made you feel.
and now? now it seemed like all hanrim saw was snow.
and it made you feel miserable.
that same night, when you both were cuddled up on the couch watching a movie, you took hanrim’s fingers and intertwined them with yours. hanrim, who was focused on the screen, barely reacted. you frowned slightly, shifting closer, your gaze tracing her sharp yet beautiful features illuminated by the dim lamplight.
leaning forward, you planted a warm, wet kiss just under hanrim’s ear, breathing her in. that earned you a quiet, breathless sigh. encouraged, you straddled her, your lips colliding in a messy, desperate kiss.
a soft moan escaped your throat as hanrim’s hands gripped your waist, pulling you impossibly closer. her arms closed around you in an intoxicating embrace, and you couldn't help but roll and grind you hips, feeling hanrim’s warmth seeping into you.
when your lips finally parted, hanrim wasted no time in trailing open-mouthed kisses down your jaw, her hands slipping beneath your shirt to trace the soft skin underneath.
then suddenly—something brushed against your thighs. something small. and fluffy.
you both froze.
hanrim glanced down and couldn’t help but giggle when she saw snow sitting between you two, staring up at you both with her big, unblinking eyes.
“look at this,” hanrim said, nudging your chin toward the cat.
you stared. and in that moment, you had to fight the overwhelming urge to roll your eyes.
"looks like someone else is feeling needy," hanrim chuckled, reaching down to scoop the cat up into her arms. “come here, baby.”
that was your last straw. with an exasperated sigh, you pulled away and curled up in a corner of the couch, crossing your arms.
hanrim blinked at you in confusion. “what’s up with you?”
"really?" you snapped, raising a brow. "turns out i can't even have sex with my girlfriend without the goddamn cat stealing all your attention."
hanrim opened her mouth to respond, but your words caught her completely off guard—and she couldn’t hold back the sudden chuckle that escaped her lips.
"y/n, are you seriously jealous of a cat?"
you looked away, glaring at the couch cushions instead of hanrim.
“hey,” hanrim’s voice softened as she reached for your hand, tugging you closer again. you didn’t resist, relieved that finally, you were getting some sort of reassurance. “don’t be silly. there’s nothing to be jealous of.”
"yes, there is," you muttered, fiddling with your fingers. "you're obsessed with snow. you barely even look at me anymore. i’m used to having all of your attention, and now it seems like you care more about the cat."
hanrim’s expression softened, and then a small smile played on her lips. “my love, you know you’re always my favorite girl.”
your breath hitched slightly at that.
"i’m really sorry if i haven’t been paying as much attention to you these days," hanrim continued, locking her fingers with yours again. "it’s just...i’ve never had a pet before. it’s my first time, and it’s all so new to me. but the truth is..." she paused, chuckling lightly. "the truth is, the cat reminds me of you."
you turned to look at her, confusion flickering across your face.
“yeah,” hanrim confirmed with a smirk. “snow reminds me of you. she follows me around, she’s always clinging to me, always wanting my attention. much like when we first met. when i see her, i can’t help but see you in her. that’s why i’ve grown so attached to her since the beginning.”
“you said that was annoying when we first met.”
“well, secretly… i liked it.” hanrim shrugged, smirking.
your lips parted slightly, warmth creeping up your neck. a slow smile tugged at your lips.
"only you would get jealous of a cat," hanrim rolled her eyes, holding back a quiet laugh.
you slightly blushed. honestly, you would get jealous of anyone and anything that breathed near hanrim, so this wasn't surprising. not at all.
hanrim’s fingers left yours and reached up to your face, thumb sliding across your cheek softly. biting your lower lip, you met hanrim’s gaze and swallowed hard.
"am i your good kitten, too?"
hanrim’s smirk widened. she reached out and scratched under your chin, the way she would a kitten, and nodded. your eyes fluttered shut at the touch, a pleased hum escaping your lips.
“fuck, i love that,” you whispered, voice breathy, almost a moan.
hanrim grinned and pressed a quick, warm kiss to your nose, making you giggle. before you could even open your eyes, hanrim suddenly stood up, scooping you into her arms with ease. you gasped, instinctively wrapping your arms around her neck as you were carried bridal-style toward your shared bedroom.
over hanrim’s shoulder, you spotted snow trailing behind you both, her adorable, tiny paws padding softly against the floor. but tonight? tonight, snow was not getting hanrim’s attention. not for the next few hours, at least.
