In case you missed it, JK Rowling came out defending biphobic, pedophile supporting, domestic abuser Johnny Depp being cast as Gellert in the next Fantastic Beasts movie. Neither Rowling or anybody in charge over the movies accepts that Depp is a horrible scumbag. I believe Yates actually pointed to one woman saying “this isn’t the Depp I know” to help “prove” that Depp is a sweet, genuinely caring person and shouldn’t be thrown out on his ass.
