Jesus X-man Christ
Holy shit
This is definitely blasphemy. *reblogs*
Our holiday on December 25th is all due to a typo - weâre not meant to be celebrating X-mas, but instead the birth of the first X-man
Reblogging again because you can never have enough Nazi flag ripping on your blog.
Reblogging because we stand against hate.
Reblogging because fuck yes
Mainstream media is really important in shaping a popular opinion - this movie (the Sound of Music, for people who donât recognise it) was the first thing I knew about Nazis and the beginning of the war. Iâd never heard about them before, and I remember mum having to explain to me what the symbol meant. This movie showed likable, strong and sympathetic characters tearing up Nazi flags and resisting the Nazis. It showed Nazi-sympathizers as intimidating and unfair. It showed us that normal people (Rolfe) could fall for their propaganda and we could lose them.Â
I was seven years old when I first watched this and immediately I knew Nazis were terrible, and because of the power of the story and the warmth of the characters this feeling sunk to my core.Â
I worry a lot about kids whose first introduction to world events is a movie like âAmerican Sniperâ.Â
when i watched Indiana Jones for the first time, my mom said if i ever saw a swastika, i should destroy it
Gender roles in a nutshell: the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang entrances in The Goblet of Fire.
also, to my knowledge neither of those schools were sex-segregated in the books
That bothered me more than the Dumbledore yelling, actually.
Nicolas Flamel was an alum of Beauxbatons.
The first headteacher of Durmstrang was a witch.
In the books, it even says that there were boys and girls from each school. Thanks Hollywood for making Durmstrang buff and all athletic men and Beauxbatons all feminine and dainty.
Just imagine what it would have meant for every kid watching, seeing girls walking beside the guys in Durmstrang being âmanlyâ and boys walking with Beuxbaton being flirty and feminine.
It would have shown that girls and boys can be however they want.
It also suggested that the only way a female could have be selected to participate was if she was not up against any male competition. In the books Fleur is chosen as the best candidate for her school from a selection of female AND male students. And she was the best PERSON. Not the best GIRL.
all men are Russian and all Women are French.

Something to Worry About
âShit!â Jake muttered. Irena stared at the emergency alert on her phone, she was sure Jake was looking at the same thing. âShit indeedâ
It was only about 5 oâclock but the sun was already almost gone. Outside the siren was blaring. Jake and Irena had stayed after school to work on a project. They weren't technically supposed to be there, but since they didn't really know each other, neither of them had felt comfortable inviting the other home.
Irena got up, âWe gotta get outta hereâ she said.
âYou crazy? We can't go outside, for all we know it's a gas leak, going outside could kill usâ
Knowing Jake was right she sat down again, nervously drumming her fingers on the back of her phone.
âWell what the hell do we do then? I can't stay here my parents are gonna freakâ
âCall âemâ
Irena sighed annoyed. It was pissing her off that Jake was so calm while she was sitting there thinking that her heart might jump out of her chest from sheer panic. Still she did as he said and called her mom. Then her dad. Then her mom again.
âThey're not answeringâ
âThey're probably deadâ Jake said jokingly.
âThat's not funnyâ answered Irena coldly.
He lowered his head trying to hide the fact his face was turning slightly red. âSorryâ he mumbled. Irena didn't bother answering.
They sat there in silence for a minute, listening to the siren. The schoolâs lights had gone out and their eyes were slowly adjusting to the darkness. After a while Jake got up, signaling for Irena to follow.
âWhere are you going?â
âWell I donât know âbout you, but itâs our last day on earth, Iâm gonna have some funâ
âDonât be stupid, weâre not gonna dieâ
âAnd you can tell me with 100 percent certainty, that thatâs a fact?â
âThis isnât some movieâ
âAnd that ainât an answerâ. He turned around and started walking away. Not wanting to be alone Irena got up and followed him.
They strolled down the halls in silence. Jake was walking with his hands in his pockets, he seemed relaxed. Like he didnât have a care in the world. Irena had never really paid much attention to him before. He was this quiet kid in the back of the class who never really spoke, but he didnât seem shy. His hair was blond and wavy, usually unkempt and his eyes were a dark amber color. If Irena had to be honest she would say that he was actually a pretty attractive guy.
âHow are you so calm? You just said you think we might die and yet you seem like you donât give a shitâ Irena asked as Jake pushed open the door to Mr. Langwellâs room.
âI donât know... I mean whatever happens is outta my hands, ainât no reason to worry âbout itâ
Irena snorted, âThat is so⌠I donât even know⌠what about your family?â
Apparently that was a touchy subject. His muscles tensed and he remained quiet for moment. âOnly family Iâve got leftâs my dad and honestly the day he dies Iâm throwing a party⌠found âemâ. Jake pulled a set of keys out of Mr. Langwellâs desk drawer and jangled them in front of his face. Then he strode out the room âCome onâ
As they turned down another hallway, the question was nagging at Irenaâs mind. She didnât wanna press him about it, but she really needed to talk about something. Anything to distract her from what was currently happening outside.
âCan I ask⌠what happened with you and your dad?â
He chuckled bitterly, like heâd known she was going to ask. âBastard killed my mom, never served any time, no one could prove a thing⌠apparently a 5 year old witness doesnât count for muchâ
âIâm sorryâ
âYeah⌠me too⌠now come on, youâre gonna like thisâ
With the keys heâd taken from Langwellâs room, Jake unlocked the door to the swimming pool. The familiar smell of chlorine hit Irena. The urge to dive in filled her immediately. She had used to swim all the time, but between school and friends, she hadnât had time for the swim team this year.
He stripped down to his underwear and made a very poor attempt at a swan dive, that made Irena burst out laughing. âIâm sorry I donât mean to laugh itâs just⌠goddamnit that was horribleâ
âWhat?... no, that was by far the best dive you ever seenâ
âMhmm, let me show you how itâs doneâ, Irena shed her clothes and jumped into the pool. A perfect dive. The cool water surrounded her. It was almost completely silent, the loud sound of the siren getting muffled by the water. When she resurfaced, Jake was staring at her, amazed. âWhat?â she asked.
âNothing, I justâŚâ
âWhat?â
âYouâre beautifulâ
Irena raised her eyebrows and scoffed. âAnd I had to be in my underwear for you to think that?â
Jakeâs face went bright red as he struggled to get his words out. âNo I⌠tha⌠that ainât what I meant. I mean you are... you know... beautiful but Iâve always thought that, I mean youâre probably the prettiest girl I know⌠I just⌠you⌠I wasnât prepared for thatâ
âYou mean you thought I was gonna jump in with all my clothes on?â. It really amused Irena to see him like this. She took step closer and cocked her head to the side.
âYes, No⌠I donât know I didnât think about thatâ
Their eyes met. Irena could feel his breath on her face. He really was good looking, especially with drops of water dripping from his hair.
âWe agreed this was the end of the world right?â said Jake, his voice low.
âYeahâ
âThen fuck itâ
Jake closed the gap between them. His warm hands gently placed below her ears. His lips against hers. The world around them melted away.
They pulled apart what felt like way too quickly to catch their breaths. Huge smiles spread across their faces. Irena felt butterflies and the outside âapocalypse worldâ had no place in her mind.
âYou cold? Youâre shiveringâ
Irena nodded âJust a littleâ
âLetâs get out thenâ
They climbed out of the pool, pulled their clothes back on and went and sat on the bleachers. They sat there in a comfortable silence, Irenaâs head resting on Jakeâs shoulder. She noticed he was bouncing his leg.
âYou okay?
Jake nodded, âYeah Iâm just a little worried I thinkâ
âI thought you said you didnât worryâ
âWellâŚâ Jake took her hand, lacing his fingers with hers, âYou gave me something to worry aboutâ
Mr. Bailings
The fresh smell of coffee reached his nostrils as soon as he stepped into the teachers lounge. Mr. Bailings was a grey, rather obese guy. He had been a college biology professor at Gretchfinn University for almost thirty years and had recently been transferred to Yesterside College. The new job had come out of nowhere. Never had he in his 60 years of life even heard of this supposedly prestigious college, but when the young, darkly clad woman, Ms. Hollowall if his memory didn't betray him, had stepped into his office a late tuesday evening and offered him the incredibly well paying job, he took it.
He had driven all of yesterday. Yesterside College lay amongst beautiful hills, stretching as far as the eye could see. It was very remote, the nearest form of civilization being a 4 hour car ride away. The building itself was very old fashioned. The sturdy walls were of old red bricks, and if it wasn't for the barless windows, one could easily have mistaken the place for a prison.
In about an hour his first lesson at Yesterside College would begin. At the other college, the teachers lounge would have been filled with professors talking and gossiping, but the only person there other than himself was Ms. Hollowall, who was quietly sipping coffee, while lost in her phone.
âMorningâ grumbled Mr. Bailings. He was met with silence. Instead of trying again, he just shook his head. These youngsters, always on their phones. It wouldn't hurt her to put away the internet and just enjoy the quiet morning for once. Not that the morning was particularly enjoyable. Though it was early August, the weather was cold and dreary, but isnât that just England?
His classroom was like any other. Blackboard, chairs, apple on the desk, exactly what you'd expect.
âGood morning⌠ah a full class I see, a good startâ. Mr. Bailings made his way to the board where he scribbled his name with a piece of chalk. âMy name is Mr. Bailings, I am 62, Iâve taught biology for 40 years, 30 of them college, let's uhh⌠let's just jump right into itâ. He strained a smile and looked at his students.
Mr. Bailings started going over the course of what he would be teaching this year when his eyes fell on the back of the class. A student sat hidden behind a newspaper, his legs tossed up onto the table in front of him.
âExcuse me, please put down the newspaper⌠excuse me!â The kid didnât react, nor did any of the other students. Their faces blank and emotionless. Mr. Bailings grunted angrily, no respect, doesnât matter which college you teach at, theyâre always the same. He started up the stairs and by the time he reached the top he was slightly out of breath.
As he stood beside the kid he tried to get a good look at him, but the kidâs face was almost entirely hidden behind the paper. He could see only the scruffy black hair on his head.
âWhatâs your name kid?â
âBailings, sirâ the kid said, his voice careless and rude like any other his ageâs.
âExcuse me?â
âMy nameâs John Bailings sirâ
âYou think youâre funny, huh?â Mr. Bailings grabbed the paper out his hands and slammed it on the table. âWho do you think you are? Using my name?â
âItâs my name as well as yours sir. I am you sirâ
Blood started rushing, as his anger boiled. A low hum started buzzing in his ears, making his head ache. Fist clenched. Eyes aflame. Bewildered by the sheer arrogance, Mr. Bailings leaned towards him. Amidst his anger, confusion arose. As he stared the kid down, he found himself staring back. 40 years younger, a biology major, but him nonetheless.
The buzzing grew louder. No not a buzzing. Voices. A whisper. âI am you sir, I am you sirâ. Echoing. Constantly increasing in volume.
âImpossibleâ Spat Mr. Bailings, trying to convince himself more than anyone else. âImpossibleâ, he spat again, his voice quivering with desperation. He grabbed the desk tightly to keep himself from fainting.
âMaybe... Maybe not. Look at the newspaperâ said John. Mr. Bailings eyes fell on the crumbled paper, clutched in his left hand.
âWhat about it?â
âLook at itâ
The whispers were now deafening.âI am you sirâ. Roaring, as he flattened the newspaper onto the desk, scanning the front page. âFriday, February 10th, 1956â. Written in bold letters across the front page it said âYoungest Graduate of Chesterville College Comes Back to Teachâ. The rest of the page had no words, only scribbles.
âI donât understandâŚâ. Pearls of sweat dripped from his forehead. He felt like vomiting. âWhat is this?â
âOur life accomplishments. Every good thing, every bad thing weâve ever done, thatâs ever happened to us⌠Itâs in thereâ John tapped on the newspaper.
His ears were ringing. The whispers ear-splitting. Mr. Bailings flipped through the newspaper. His life passing before his eyes. When he turned the last page and stared at the newspapers back, his body went numb.
âNoâ

Mr. Bailingsâ body was found in his office at Gretchfinn University a late tuesday evening on May 22nd, 2018. Heartattack.

I really didnât think this needed to be said but hereâs my fucking hot take yâall ready for this
(Sharp inhale)
DO NOT SHIP TWO NON FICTIONAL STRAIGHT MEN WHO HAVE SAID MULTIPLE TIMES THAT THEY ARE STRAIGHT, OPENLY HAVE COMMITTED HETEROSEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS, AND ARE CLEARLY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH CREEPY TEENAGE GIRLS DRAWING/ WRITING EXPLICIT, DETAILED PORN OF THEM WITH THEIR BEST FRIEND AND/OR COLLEAGUE. IT IS DISGUSTING. THE CALIBER SOME PEOPLE ARE TAKING THIS TO CAN BE CONSIDERED SEXUAL HARASSMENT, I AM NOT EVEN JOKING. FORCING YOUR PORN DOWN PEOPLEâS THROATS IS DISGUSTING, DEPLORABLE, AND UNACCEPTABLE. SOME PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY YOUTUBERS, HAVE A LARGE UNDERAGE AUDIENCE AND NO CHILD WANTS TO BE EXPOSED TO LITERAL PORNOGRAPHY WHEN THEY LOOK UP THEIR FAVORITE YOUTUBER. IMAGINE LOOKING UP âMARKIPLIERâ ON GOOGLE IMAGES AND ON THE FIRST PAGE OF RESULTS, YOU FIND GAY PORN. BECAUSE THATâS HAPPENED TO ME. MANY YOUTUBERS WHO HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO THIS HAVE EXPLICITLY TOLD THE FANS TO STOP BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM UNCOMFORTABLE. AND YET YOU FUCKERS KEEP DOING IT. TO NOBODYâS SURPRISE, THERE IS NO HIDDEN, UNDERCOVER PLOT THAT TWO STRAIGHT MEN WITH GIRLFRIENDS ARE SECRETLY DATING. THAT IS ABSURD. SOME PEOPLE HAVE EVEN HARRASSED PEOPLEâS CURRENT S/OâS FOR âSINKING THEIR SHIP.â LEAVE THEM OUT OF YOUR SICK, TWISTED, FUJOSHI FANTASY. KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF. IF YOUâRE A FUJOSHI THAT SHIPS TWO NONFICTIONAL HETEROSEXUAL MEN, PLEASE UNFOLLOW ME IMMEDIATELY.
I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH GIRLS SHIPPING FICTIONAL MEN WHO ARE POSSIBLY GAY, BUT IF YOU START TAKING YOUR BULLSHIT TO CONVENTIONS AND PRESSURING AND CHANTING AT TWO COSPLAYERS TO MAKE OUT OR BE SEXUAL WITH EACH OTHER WHEN THE COSPLAYERS DONâT EVEN KNOW EACH OTHER AND ARE NON-CONSENTING, THEN WEâRE GOING TO HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM. IF YOU DO THIS, WHETHER YOU WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT, UNFOLLOW ME AS WELL.
This boy
No but he literally didnât. Theyâve talked about in interviews how he was never given the real script because he sucks at keeping secrets so they made sure he didnât know how the movie plays out.
