i figured out with that chocolate gif thing that after you rearrange the pieces the area of the squares that were placed together decreased by ¼ per square, so there’s a total of 1 less square piece, so it actually does follow the law of conservation of mass.. and i made a gif of the chocolate thing happening multiple times, so you can see how the chocolate bar gradually gets smaller (it goes from 6x4 to 5x4)
