Plot Call
I'm in the process of packing to move back to the dorm tomorrow for my last semester, but I just came to the sad realization that almost everyone my muse has a relationship with has been dropped-- So I'm in the market for some new plots. Like this post and I'll message you when I get done packing~

everything about this entirely unimpressive, she thinks, the shirt hitting her stomach and falling to the floor. achy knees bend so she can tug the shirt into her hands, frowning when she catches sight of it, “this is yours,” she says after a second, and tosses it back, “and are you okay…uh, guy?”
what the fuck is this dudes name?
tired legs move until she finds where she must’ve kicked her shorts off last night, and she wiggles them up her legs, and in the process realizes she’s still wearing underwear.
everything becomes a lot clearer after that- there’s no way she slept with a guy. she shudders at the thought and becomes immediately nauseas.
it takes a solid fifteen seconds for her to get it together enough to start looking for her missing shirt again, and she glances at mysterious guy before really searching.
“you look really freaked out- fuck, are you gonna puke or something? because i have no idea where the bathroom is so, y’know, please don’t,” she says slowly, watching him and simultaneously moving fabric around.
“oh, hey, these are your pants, i think.”
By the time this mystery girl has tossed his shirt back at him, he’s at least began to gain some of his bearings. Yeah- he’s super freaked out about this whole situation, he’s about as big of a virgin as you can be, or at least he was until whatever this was. Did he really sleep with someone? Someone he didn’t know? DID HE REALLY NOT REMEMBER HIS FIRST TIME???? All these thoughts are zipping through his head as he fumbles to pull on his shirt. Sure it’s inside out, but that’s the least of his concerns right now.
“Uh-- Yeah, I’m...okay? I think I am-god my head hurts-- But I don’t think I’m gonna puke so that’s a plus-- Um- What about you-?” He manages to form what sounds at least similar to a cohesive sentence, stumbling out of the bed now that his head has stopped spinning a bit.
He runs his fingers through his messy bedhead, anxiously biting at his lip as he looks around the room. Nope, there is nothing familiar about this room- so he doesn’t know where he is, or whom he’s with. Peachy.
“Oh, yeah-- Those are mine, thanks...” He walks over to grab the garment, trying very hard not to stare at the shirtless girl in the room with him.

“Hyung…” he finally says hesitantly, “do you….do you ever get so stressed about things…about your life…that you just…you just break down? Has this ever happened to you?” He wrings his hands together and bites his lip. “What do you do when that happens? To feel better I mean…”
“Hongbin.. Hongbin~” He rolls the younger boy’s name around on his tongue a few times, testing the feel of out in his mouth before smiling all over again. “It’s nice to meet you too Hongbin-ssi~” He lets out a small laugh, his expression soft and fairly cheerful. “Don’t worry about it, this certainly hasn’t been the worst first meeting I’ve ever had, nor the puffiest or reddest!” He wants so badly to help the other boy feel at ease, hopeful that he can be of some help to him, even if the other doesn’t want to talk about whatever is going on.
Although it’s true that Hakyeon had been practically half asleep when he first came in, he’s wide awake now, scooting back a bit to lean back against the mirror and watching Hongbin with curious eyes, wanting to say something but not wanting to push, honestly hoping the other will say something if he’s up for talking.
He’d been just about to throw in the towel and break the silence himself when, much to his relief, the other boy spoke. His expression turns more serious at the tone of the question, taking a moment to really think about the best way to answer.
“Well... I’d be lying if I said I never has times like that. I’d say we all do at some point--” He takes a moment to look up at the ceiling, thinking hard about the right words to tell this boy that will hopefully be of some help. “For me, I have to stop and remind myself that I really am alright. I’ll say it out loud if I have to. I list off the things that are going well for me, the things that make me happy and that encourage me, so I can focus on the positive instead of the negative-- And if that doesn’t help, I dance. Dancing is my passion, it clears my head and focuses my mind, and I’m always in a better place mentally and emotionally afterwards.. It very well may be something other than dance for you, but I know that everybody has something they’re passionate about, or something than can be grateful for. So I’d say focus on that, don’t let whatever it is that’s gotten you so worked up drag you down.” He looks back to Hongbin, offering a reassuring smile.

it was then that leonard met his savour and soon-to-be male best friend. seeing movement to his right, leonard glanced to his side to find another boy hesitantly approaching him. because the blond had not noticed anyone walking in before, he felt a little taken aback ( the cold exterior melting into an expression of surprise ). leonard blinked as the other stepped closer and his gaze naturally fell to the other’s lips which the deaf boy had sworn had moved but were no longer moving. his gaze lifted, observing the shorter boy’s face which was round but small. the boy looked at him with big, curious eyes. leonard’s own cat-like ones were guarded.
In moving closer, the other boy is a bit...taller than Hakyeon first realized- He’s a bit taken aback but he quickly gets over it, smiling warmly when his eyes meet the other’s wary feline gaze.
“Here, let me help~” Without waiting for a response Hakyeon gets right to it, going straight for clothes already in the washer and starting to separate them out, not caring at all about the fact that he’s getting a face full of someone else’s sweaty clothes. “If you put all of the clothes in together you’ll end up ruining them, the colors will bleed. Especially reds, and then all of your whites will turn pink! Not that there’s anything wrong with pink, but you probably don’t want to change the colors of your nice shirts~ or your underwear for that matter-” He chuckles, separating the clothes into pile before returning all of one kind to the machine. “So let’s start with these~”
He’s just yammering along, still clueless that they other boy can’t hear a word of it, too wrapped up in his desire to help. “Okay now THIS compartment is where the detergent goes.” He reaches for the bottle, showing the tall blonde how he measures the detergent out into the cap before pouring it in the correct compartment. “And THIS one is for that fabric softener you’ve got--” He repeats the process with the other before closing up the drawer. “I’m not sure what the third compartment even is, I’ve never needed it before, I think it’s just there to be confusing~” He laughs again, shutting the machine and changing the settings for the other boy.
“And that’s how you do it~ And when this load is done I can show you what kind of clothes to dry and which one’s need to be hung up to air dry!” He finally stops running his mouth, smiling brightly up at the other boy and looking quite pleased with himself to say the least.

And then, he doesn’t know what else to say. Does he want to talk about what happened? He glances at the other. It would probably be very weird to tell him about the reason he came to the bathroom in the first place. Or why he was crying in a stall. Instead, he decides to ask something that’s completely unrelated. “I don’t think I’ve seen you before…you’re not a second year right?”
Hakyeon is extremely relieved the other boy didnt tell him to leave again, knowing his resolve likely would not have held out and he would’ve had to just leave. So he sits quietly, intently watching the stall door in hopes that the other will come out or speak.
When the stall door cracks open, he almost hops up then and there but he makes himself stay still, wanting the other boy to come out of his own accord and not feel crowded, or even worse attacked- He stays still, blinking curiously as the door finally swings open and he gets his first look at the boy he’s been trying to talk to. Even though it’s clear the other has been crying, Hakyeon is momentarily taken by surprise at how...well, perfect the other boy’s face is. Even slightly red and puffy from crying, he looks like he could be the tragic hero in a movie and Hakyeon momentarily wonders how it is he’s never seen him before.
He watches the other come closer, and then finally speak, and he offers a reassuring smile. “It’s alright, I don’t blame you- I should probably learn to stop prying into other people’s business.” He chuckles softly, trying to lighten the mood just a little bit.
It’s quiet after that for just a moment, Hakyeon doesn’t want to force the other boy to talk about anything he doesn’t want to, so he keeps his mouth shut until the other chooses his own topic and Hakyeon smiles again, giving his head a little shake. “No, I’m a third year~ Cha Hakyeon. You must be a second year then-- What’s your name?” He tilts his head, looking at the other boy expectantly.

❝ They wouldn’t want to know after they realise it is actually a more hard work than what those cheerleading movies make it out to be or how their expectations about the cheerleader team do not live up to the reality of things. ❞ The only time it gets as intense or interesting as the cheerleading movies from the early 2000s were on the day of the game itself. Any other day and it was just a fixed routine of practice, practice, and more practice. There is no drama (at least, during cheerleading hours) or rival teams from other schools deciding to pay a visit to the school out of the blue. A little disappointing, she knows, if you were a big fan of movies like Bring It On and other cheerleading movies she cannot remember because they were all honestly the same to her with their plots.
❝ You can just call me Nahyun, you know. Ms. Manager makes me sound so formal and more uptight than I probably am already. ❞ She takes his offer nonetheless, gathering all of her things and waiting for him to be done before they both walked together. ❝ This might be a random question since it has nothing to do with what we just talked about but, Taemin is your roommate, right? ❞
“I mean sure it’s not exactly like the movies-- much- at all really-” He laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. “But by the time they realize that, hopefully they’ll have fallen in love with it just like everyone else on the team has. The reality of cheer leading, not just the version presented by tv and movies.” He himself hadn’t really known what to expect when he first went out for cheer leading, but despite all of the hard work, he really does love it.
Hakyeon can’t help the huge smile that spreads across his face. “I know Nahyun-ssi, that was meant to be a joke~ I’ll refrain from using that nickname in the future though.” He giggles, a playful twinkle in his eyes.
Once she has all of her things together, he starts walking along with her, quiet for the moment until she speaks, tilting his head a bit as he listens to her question. “Taemin? Yes he is! We’ve been roommates since first year~” He smiles warmly, feeling a surge of affection for his long time roommate. Sure they are quite different, but their relationship is still very good.

☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?
After lying awake for hours trying to sleep, Hakyeon will slip out of bed, quiet as a mouse to avoid disturbing his roommate. When he can’t seem to find sleep, there’s only one thing that can soothe him, the thing he’s truly passionate about- dance. If it’s at a time he thinks he can get away with it and not get caught, he’ll sneak out to find a secluded place and just let himself go. No restraints, no cares, no body to watch him and judge his movements, just him and the music and the feeling of freedom he loves so much.
On nights when he knows he can’t get out, he’ll even settle for slipping into the bathroom and plugging in his earbuds so as not to wake his roommate. There’s not the same mobility and freedom of movement, and he has to be careful not to be too loud, but at least it’s something. Something to take the edge off and bring him a sense of peace until he’s able to hopefully get some sleep at last.

feeling himself get impatient, leonard thrust his arms into the hamper and decided to first fill the machine. in doing so, the deaf boy forgot to separate the clothes. colourful clothes and sweaty soccer attire went in with leonard’s dress shirt and uniform trousers. once the machine was filled to the brim with his and sungil’s clothes ( and some towels ), leonard pushed the door closed and once again regarded the buttons. he had yet to throw in the detergent. reaching back, leonard made grabby hands at the table until he felt his fingertips brush against cool plastic. grabbing one bottle, leonard glanced down to find it was the fabric softener. standing up slowly, the blond boy inspected the entire machine but couldn’t seem to find the detergent drawer. impatience made leonard’s frown deepen.

Hakyeon’s first load of laundry is already spinning away in one of the washing machines, having left to take care of some other small matters to help pass the time. Not all that many students at Sunhwa seem to actually do their own laundry, so there’s rarely anyone to chat with and he’s not so big on just sitting quietly and waiting, instead doing a few things in his room, then bringing down a second load of laundry to start.
Walking back into the laundry room, he’s momentarily startled to see another boy in there in front of one of the other machines. It’s a boy he’s never seen before, a little taller than him with a shock of blonde hair, and he cranes his neck a bit to try and get a look at his features. Still not recognizing the other, and since he seems pretty intent on his laundry, Hakyeon shrugs it off for now, turning to his first load of laundry that’s just finishing up.
He pulls out all of the sweatpants, tshirts, tanks and other items that he wears for dancing and cheer practice, moving them to a dryer before loading up the washer with his nice whites that need to be washed more delicately. Glancing over to the other boy, he notices that all of the other’s different clothes are shoved in all together and he opens his mouth to say something.
“Um-- Are you going to separate your clothes-?” He blinks, waiting for an answer that doesn’t come. The other boy doesn’t even look at him, and he frowns, sulking a bit at being ignored. “Or not- I guess you know what you’re doing-” The kind natured dancer is oblivious to the fact that the other boy just simply couldn’t hear him, turning his attention back to his laundry and getting it started.
One he’s done he can’t help but observe the blonde stranger for a few moments. Watching him looking around at the different buttons, it soon becomes clear to Hakyeon that the other is confused, made even more clear when he grabs the fabric softener instead of the detergent. As the other boy seems to be getting more frustrated, Hakyeon can’t just stand by anymore, feeling like he should step in.
“Hey--” He steps closer, trying to get the boys attention.
❝ If you could talk to the first years, that would be great. ❞ They are more likely to listen to someone with a personality like his rather than someone like her, having faith in him that his art of persuasion will have them a few interested people taking a look at their team. Because like he said, they are going to need the first years in the team for the cheerleading team to continue on leading the team once the current members graduated and she thinks that the school would not appreciate at all if the cheerleading team were to disappear due to a lack of members. That is almost unheard of in any school.
❝ That would be great if the art club is able to help us out on the flyers and as for social media, I can get that covered for all of us. If we are going to be filming our routines as well, I know of people who are able to rent out their equipment to use or have people filming it for as well. Might consider finding someone to edit it while we are at it. ❞ Jotting everything down in her planner, she gives a sigh at the finished list. ❝ If I didn’t know any better, looking at this list would make me think we are running for elections instead of getting people to join our team. ❞
Now that they have a plan of action, the usual light-hearted smile returns to Hakyeon’s face, confidant that they’ll be able to make things work out now that they’ve put their minds to finding a solution.
“It pretty much is an election-” He chuckles softly. “Vote for cheerleading to be your club of choice~ But I mean who doesn’t want to be a cheerleader? This shouldn’t be hard.” He nods. “And now Ms. Manager, I think it’s time for a quick break hmm? You’ve been working hard for the team, so can I treat you to a snack or something? We could bring our laptops and start working on the social media aspect-” The offer is genuine and one of gratitude, Hakyeon knows he would never be able to keep track of all of the things that she does, not nearly as skilled an organizer as she is.

But it’s a lie of course, he’s not fine. He hasn’t been fine for years, but he’s not planning to break down in some unknown boy’s arms tonight. Hell no.
The cold edge of the response he got wasn’t exactly what Hakyeon was expecting and he recoils a bit, a frown tugging at the corners of his lips.
“O-Oh, okay-- Sorry I asked...” He backs up from the stall door, fully prepared to just walk away- after all, why should he stick around where he clearly wasn’t wanted? He turns and starts heading towards the door, just about to walk out when that little voice stops him. That natural instinct of his to help and care for others. Should he mind his own business? Probably. But maybe, just maybe, whoever this boy is actually needs someone right now and just can’t bring themselves to admit it.
“Actually, no.” He turns back again. “I’m not sorry I asked, and you don’t have to lie. Not around me. So I’ll just be waiting out here if you feel like coming out, or if you want to stay in there and talk. You don’t have to even talk about what’s bothering you, you can talk about anything.” He nods to himself, going and hopping up to sit on the counter, crossing his legs and settling in.

“hey, do you know where the aspirin is?” she grumbles, because every party passes around pain killers post-drinking, “maybe oxy?” seunghee pauses so she can press her fingers into the mattress while she stumbles to her feet, “also, my shirt?”
Hakyeon is sleeping like the dead-- or at least he was until an unidentified object whacked into him. He grunts softly and peeks an eye open to try and identify what hit him, only to close it again right away when the light streaming into the room goes straight to his throbbing head. With a faint groan, he buries his face into a pillow, not yet realizing he isn’t in his own room.
The movement he’s hearing doesn’t sound at all like his roommate though, which becomes more and more clear the longer he lays still trying to think. There’s something different about it, and the sounds of groaning sounds almost...feminine? ‘Oh god-’
He sits bolt right up and looks around frantically, the dizzying pain in his head causing him to nearly fall right off the bed and when he catches sight of the girl he’d apparently shared the bed with he ends up letting out a highly undignified little squeal, covering his eyes quickly.
Struggling to stammer out a response, Hakyeon feels around for her shirt with his free hand, finding his own and tossing it in her general direction.
