Precautions for replacing transparent dressings

1. When removing the original transparent dressing, one hand should gently press the puncture point with the thumb, and the other hand should stretch the transparent dressing around 0 degrees or 180 degrees. Then fix the joint of the catheter with one hand, and remove the original transparent dressing with the other hand against the direction of the catheter, carefully assess the situation of the puncture point.

2. Disinfect and dry the local skin for more than ten seconds or wait until the disinfectant is completely dry. Put on sterile gloves after disinfection of your hands, wrap the infusion connector with sterile gauze in your left hand and pick up the catheter, hold a cotton stick with 75% alcohol in your right to avoid 1 cm around the puncture point, and clean and disinfect in the order of clockwise-counterclockwise-clockwise skin. The appropriate range is 10 cm from the upper and lower radius of the puncture point, from the left and right sides to the edge of the arm. Then take the iodophor cotton stick with the puncture point as the center, and disinfect the skin and the catheter in the order of clockwise-counterclockwise-clockwise.

3. Covering the transparent dressing: hold the transparent dressing with one hand, and place it down without tension after the center is aligned with the puncture point. How to tear off the medical tape without pain

1. Baby oil

Dip a clean cotton swab with baby oil, and gently wipe the skin-contacting part of the medical tape to make the tape come off. This is very clean, without any traces.

2. Fengyoujing

Apply it to the junction between the medical tape and the skin, and tear it off little by little to avoid pain.

3. Work out and sweat

4. Don't stick it for too long
