I went on a date with an elvis impersonator once. That was... god, he wasn't even good at it either. I've had someone try to pick me up on a horse. Like for a date. Needless to say, I did not go on that date. Nor did I want to know how they rode a horse through Beverly Hills.
Oh! What kinds of genres do you produce? Do you ever do classical music? I play with a string quartet and we are trying to get some covers recorded. Like Bridgerton.
Right now, my current artists are mainly in the pop and punk rock genres; I have two r&b artists, and an indie duo. I've actually mixed a friend's piano piece before.
I could always give it a shot I can definitely help you guys out, if you're looking to record. Trust me, I've been a little obsessed with Bridgerton's musical covers.
It's a wide variety. We have a rock, pop, indie sort of vibe, but we'll cover anything we think sounds good, even if we change the genre of it.

It's not a bad idea. I know I do offer internships to those who are interested in my classes, but usually, the only people interested are those who assume they'll get extra credit for trying. which they don't.

I think I'm just trying to not come off as the asshole professor, while seamlessly being the one who grades too hard and is too critical of his students' work. You should see my 'ratemyprofessor' reviews. All of them are pretty awful because I'm a 'harsh judger'. Though someone said that 'if you're not passionate, you won't pass this class'... which isn't really wrong. So at least people are being fucking honest.

My dad was a stunt actor so it just came to me one day that I could have the best of both worlds and do it too. Then I can help him take over his classes when he's ready to retire. I haven't been in a pool all summer, and I feel like maybe that's what my entire physique is missing this season. Maybe I'll see if I can use a pool from someone. Good call.
That still is seriously the most badass career choice. Ah, I mean I own a record label. I'm into helping artists grow and expand their music. I mean, is it silly to be into the stuff you do for work? Other than that, I like comedy shows. No idea why, but a lot of times, they're just hysterical.
A part of being talented and accomplished in your field is people wanting your approval and others wanting to use your connections for their own advancement. I can understand the frustration though and I hope this years students surprise you in good ways instead of disappointing you in predictable ones.

I absolutely agree, I try every year to be surprised, but there's always the one or two that ruin it for the whole bunch. But that's no one's fault except the world we live in.

You can just call me Dom. Students call me Professor LC. Or Professor Dom. My mom has a whole thing about hyphenating her name. Not wanting to lose her name to my father's- but even then sometimes she'll not even use it. So I try to play the even field.

You just figured that one out yourself. Some of them have no real control over their own lives so while they're majoring in whatever mommy and daddy tell them to, they're secretly recording music that they can at least have you give feedback on. That might be all they need if you won't sign them.
I was kidding, Dom. As amazing as my voice is, I have no desire to pursue music. The drama that comes with that world will have me in handcuffs daily, so no thanks. You do look like the type of professor that will flunk their students, not gonna lie. But it's a good thing. Just 'cause we're all famous by association doesn't mean these little shits need a free pass.
