The Blackwood Legacy - gen 1

Hi there! I just started this tumblr and am new to the whole sims 4 community, still working on my layout and hoping I'll be able to be active~  I'm a game design student specializing in Character Art & Design so I hope I'll eventually be able to create some CC to share! My sim UNEXPECTEDLY got twins. How on earth am I going to manage this.

Ambrose had her first day at work today! She got a job as an intern at the Doctor’s office!

Day 1: Ambrose bought herself a tent, bbq, camping chair and a pop-up shower to make sure she can manage her needs. This left her with only 260 simoleans! After that she went fishing, which didn’t go that well, talked to her neighbours of the welcome wagon and called with the Doctors Office to get a job as an intern!

My Legacy Challenge Rules

SSo, first things first, I created my sim and placed them on an empty 50x50 lot. Then I bought the Knight of the Octagon Table decoration costing $8,200, placed it in my family inventory, which left me with $1,800 starting cash and moved on to the next page of rules.

Succession Laws

Because my founder will die, eventually, I had to pick my succession laws wich include gender, bloodline, heir and species.

Gender

I picked strict equality. This means that the gender doesn’t really matter as long as the kid is from the opposite gender to the founder or current heir. This repeats itself every next generation.

Bloodline

I picked strict traditional. It’s my legacy and even though I’ll probably adopt a kid, I don’t want them to be heir to my legacy and break the bloodline. I want the heir to have an unbroken bloodline back to my founder.

Heir

I picked exemplar. My picked trait is perfectionist, because the heir needs to try as hard as possible to achieve the best legacy, they can’t settle for less. But, when there’s no kid with this trait, the rule of the first born will count, which means that the oldest will be the heir.

Species

I picked tolerant. I don’t really care if my Sim is an alien, human or vampire/whatsoever. Besides, I think baby aliens are cute.

Okay, so the rules say I can pick any name, aspiration and personality traits. But since I’m someone who sticks to the same thing everytime I decided to use generators to get a random name and a random personality to make things more fun and experimental for me. I used @smubuh‘s name generator and www.createarandomsim.com for the aspiration and personality traits.

Starting a legacy challenge

I’m going to start on the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge for the first time in my whole sims-life! I’ll be posting the rules I picked, my starter sim, and updates later!
