Gif Makers Beware

Earlier today, the Yogscast Twitter tweeted this about a competition they are running for a chance at winning a copy of Trials Fusion.  Entering is quite simple, all you have to do is tweet them a gif of Hat Films that you have made as stated in the T&C.

However, people are stealing gifs.

I have now seen two people use gifs that I made in order to enter the competition and one person use one of blackrocksoldier‘s gifs.

I strongly advise you if you have made gifs of Hat Films to please watch the replies to the original tweet and even to scan the yogscast tag every now and again on Twitter in order to make sure your gifs aren’t being stolen. 

If you see gifs you know are stolen being used, I advise you to tweet at the person using it and the Yogscast twitter account with a link to the original posting of the gif on Tumblr or where ever it was originally posted and, if it wasn’t you who made it, please tell the person who did so they are aware. 

Not only do gif makers work hard on their gifs, but seeing as how the T&C state it must be an orginal gif, using someone else’s gif is a violation of competition rules.
