there was something odd about that— snack machine, she believed it was called. she had observed multiple people hitting it and receiving food, and so she decided to try her hand, except her strength left it crooked, glass cracked and a few of the snacks tumbling out, her somewhat horrified expression at it obvious as she glanced about for help or guidance in any way.

     SOMETHING had dragged him in this direction, a tether rooted in curiosity and a vague flutter of light like a warm drop of sunshine on the tip of his tongue -- and he had followed without a second thought, his own wandering fairly aimless before the abrupt CRASH gave him direction. And what a SIGHT waited for him when he did, the laugh bubbling weightless on surprise when the crumpled ruin of what had once been a vending machine reached his gaze. His focus only lingered upon the mess a moment, however, before light hues rose to rest the goblin’s amused gaze upon the one seemingly RESPONSIBLE.

               ❝Well, that’s one way to get a bag of chips,❞ he voiced           softly, laughter lacing his words.❝I can FIX it if you want,           but probably best not to wait for any questioning eyes to get           here.❞

     On another day he might have feigned ignorance, maybe even pretended not to hear him at first to coax the gratitude out of the other goblin one more time but even Iseul knew how to differentiate between moods and this was something soft, something CHERISHED. The words left his expression soft, his smile warm when he tilted his head back to glance at Jihae, happiness and a tiny sliver of delighted PRIDE bright in his eyes.

       he was still ANGRY but it was fading. it was more directed at HIMSELF, reproaches swarming his head spun around being stubborn enough to stay from home, to go through a loss of control strong enough to break furniture and have seojoon seeing him at his worst in YEARS. the drug abuse had a reason after all, even though he was still determined to let go of it. if the pain was a PHANTOM and not actually physically present, then the tension of muscles was what caused him to experience a profound ache once this all died down. half leaning against iseul, an arm around his waist and careful steps taken, he managed to make it to the bedroom without breaking down on the way. the suggestion of water was a DREADFUL one at this point, when he still thought to feel blood streaming down his throat and he was CERTAIN it would increase his discomfort. instead, he put a hand on the back of the other’s head, fingers tangled in his hair softly, somewhat shakily, his own head shaken lightly.

     This was something he was FAMILIAR with. While the exact pain and memories they suffered were different, the aftermath was the same. For Iseul, hazy vision and disorientation and for Jihae the lack of voice and discomfort -- the ACHE was the same regardless. How the other managed to control himself during moments like this, he would never fully understand, still either too young or childish to exhibit proper restraint. Even that could take it’s toll. With the slightest of shifts he brushed a kiss against his forehead, a hum his only acknowledgement of the shake of his head. He leaned in further, an arm very loosely resting at his side, the other on the bed for support. ❝Wanna lie down or stay sitting?❞

[ enters through the front door, slowly and swaying a little, hair a mess and aiming for the counter to lean on before he went farther, hoping iseul would find him before he had to walk across the place to his room ]

     An overly vague time frame all he had to go off of, Iseul had spent the night on the couch, just to guarantee that he wouldn’t miss the other goblin when he arrived back home. A red flag had never come from Seojoon so he could only assume that everything had gone ‘well,’ left instead to wait and FRET. As such, before the door even fully closed he was on his feet, at Jihae’s side to quietly slip an arm around his shoulder. ❝You took your time,❞ was his hum, voice softer than normal. Careful not to rush him, the pace was left slow, his door encouraged open on silent hinges with a glance before he lowered Jihae gently onto his bed. A hand rose to softly brush back some of the messier strands from his face and he leaned in to briefly rest their foreheads together with a sigh. 

               ❝Don’t talk if it still hurts but nod if you need some water. I can grab some           pain meds as well.❞

               It took only a split second to glance at the brochure before his gaze           shot up again, rooted onto Jihae. ❝Holy SHIT, seriously?! Can we go now?           Is it even open yet? Fuck - who cares, we could just go anyway. You ARE           coming with though, right?❞

      his powers were FAR less interesting than one might have thought. someone of his status was in no NEED to avert physical attacks. the swarms of people were protection akin a BODYGUARD and while his lack of one had been criticised in the past, he CONTINUED to disregard the comments directed at it. his movements were LAZY, to a degree, followed nearly instinctively by then but lacking enthusiasm he KNEW he could show if he WANTED to. his boredom was only threatened to be INFRINGED when a stranger seemed to approach, not the kind that was drunk enough to think they had a CHANCE, nor the one delusionally believing they were ENOUGH for him. he had his attention, for the MOMENT, even though he decided to keep his hands to himself a little longer. DARING, he thought his actions, even if his whispers was CONFUSING. ❝ dancing is what i am, ❝ he offered in a hum, making use of the proximity to keep himself from STRAINING his voice.

     This close, he could feel WHATEVER it was more keenly, a calm, ever present vibration that seemed to rest within the stranger’s core, akin to static yet edged in a warmth so much softer than his own fire. NEW -- it was new and Iseul was always hunting for surprises to dull the passage of years. The sheer DISMISSAL in his voice was enough to draw a chuckle from his lips, dark on amusement. ❝I did not ask what you were doing; I have EYES for that.❞ he responded in a purr, his grin widening. His fingers danced along  the line of his hip, tracing upwards an inch before falling still once more. ❝You are neither death nor fire, but something different altogether. I’m only after some enlightenment.❞

      for such a lively party, he certainly felt like EXCITEMENT came in short. there were plenty of glances sent his way ( the benefit of being a MODEL, he knew ) but few were returned in kind. still, his gaze kept WANDERING, scanning the crowd and, as things went on, continuously moving away from those that approached him, thinking to see a sense of the SAME in their eyes. did he need more followers ? ALWAYS. did they provide him the same amount of FUN someone truly interesting did ? far from it. he decided to stick with DANCING for the time being, moving to slip behind a few TALLER companions in hopes of at least ridding himself off those senseless, same looks for a few minutes. 

     So rarely was his curiosity truly PEAKED, accustomed as he was to the normality that was mortality. He knew the sensation of goblins after so long living WITH one, and now that peculiar sense of DEATH so prominent in their apartment. This was something more subtle and he chased after it, moving with little purpose through the crowd that moved and swayed around him, matching each twist and dip so that he barely brushed past, his gaze ever roving over each figure until it CAUGHT. Thinner, shorter in frame but no less alluring, that particular something clung to the dark haired stranger not far from him and Iseul pursued as if pulled, purpose found but no rush to his movements as he let the crowd carry him forward on their own. His eyes bright with interest and a smile something WICKED where it curled at the edge of his lips, he brushed his knuckles softly against the other’s hips, matching sway for sway when he leaned in close to whisper ❝What ARE you,❞ into his ear.
