i think the idea of characters being minor coded does have a use but i have yet to see anyone use it in a helpful idea. It makes the most sense for character who arent āhumanā(or that setting equivalent/equivalents)/dont have an age that easily translates to humans, lancer and ralsei from deltarune are minor coded because technically an object doesnt have an age, but they are clearly intended to be read as children, and should be treated as such similarly King and queen are āadultācoded.
the term makes the most sense to be used to refer to characters that maybe dont translate well to human perceptions of age, but should be read and treated as if they were within a certain age range.
Ok so i get you have the whole infinity symbol motif going on but like, is it in a time loop way or an autistic way? Perhaps like a āinfinite potentialā kinda thing? You really gotta clarify dude.
i wish we hollow knight fans talked more about the knight as a character and hollow knight (not silksongs) themes
the original hollow knight had themes much less obvious then silksongs, and the knight had character traits much less obvious then hornets, but they had traits, and its honestly kind of ironic, because a major theme in the original hollow knight is identity, and the suppression of it (as well as religious stuff and abuse), so the fandom completely ignoring the knights characterization and even often going as far as saying the knight is hollow (or even saying theyāre hollow just in the base ending), feels.. odd. Because the point of hollow knight is that nobody is hollow, the pale king was wrong, they told the hollow knight that they were not allowed to feel, and the hollow knight still felt. The pale kings actions are so clearly a metaphor for abuse, an action that supposedly will make them more powerful, capable, let them contain the radiance, but by casting them into the abyss all he did was remove theyāre ability to speak, to express themselves, and ultimately the hollow knight still was infected, and you could make the argument that āthe knight IS hollow though! All theyre actions are to work towards defeating the radiance, and have no emotional reasons!ā You can give characters the pale flowers and you dont get rewarded, the knight has no reason to think they will get rewarded either. āThe hollow knight ending!ā Yeah the one practically explicitly stated to be a temporary solution? The one that acts as a metaphor for bottling it all up instead of actually facing it? So yeah uhh thats all.
Every now and then i remember im a decent artist when i lock in

spoilers for deltarune chapter five and the secret bosses under the cut
I think one of the most interesting parts about pink is her existence in chapter five and what it says about characters like flowery and asgore, because she feels very out of place, i mean previously jevil was a joker card with king being the king of spades so obvious connection, plus with the whole i can do anything/caged but free stuff, he parallels kris, the soul, arguably susies attitude of not caring about the consequences of her actions much in chapter one, then spamton was a spam email with Q5U4EX7YY2E9N being a computer, while also having themes like control, and escaping, probably related to kris and/or noelle, then we have chapter three and for all story purposes ramb/the mantle guy is the secret boss in my opinion, a plug and a old video game fit with tenna being a tv, and the mantle guy obviously has stuff going on to do with kris and a certain alternate route, and obviously gerson makes sense to be in the church and has all the themes relating to the prophecy and hope, but then thereās pink. A trans ghost possessing a doll, when the main guys are asgore and flowery. So pink super obviously parallels kris and the soul, and has stuff relating to ralsei too (a darkner with wants? And RALSEI brings that up POSITIVELY?) but what does the doll being forgotten compared to flowery say about asgore? Asgore took care of the flowers long past when he thought he would, and he also has a random doll that i cant imagine he really cares too much about, but the chapter already told us, asgore needs to stop obsessing over things like getting back with toriel, because hes not really himself at this point, she doesnt establish a ton of new things we didn't know and wouldn't know pretty soon after but neither did the other secret bosses really, but the other bosses are connected to other characters you say! But i think pink still has more than enough room and time to do stuff with other characters, because ive seen a lot of stuff about people saying castle town will probably need to be closed, and pink relies on the dark world to be who she wants to be, she relies on escapism to explore her identity and be with herself, and i think that if you do her fight, it will matter if that ever becomes a conversation.
hey welcome to my evil lair, good job beating my minions. yeah hold on before i fight you let me just stand directly underneath this massive iron chandelier held up by four ropes connected to big stakes at each corner of the room. like an idiot
Mind if i shoot a few random arrows that wont hit you for just uhhh dramatic effect? So you can say i missed and ill say if i wasnāt aiming for you? For dramatic effect of course.
