Iām not anti-Scott McCall in any way, and Iām not stans (is that the correct terminology here?) Stiles Stilinski either. They both have their faults which is extremely obvious to anyone who isnāt biased. (Lydia is obviously my favorite character, but I still have the decency to admit when sheās in the wrong and to acknowledge her character flaws) But Iāve noticed numerous people posting on how horrible and selfish of a friend Stiles is; however, people who are anti-Stiles and/or stans Scott seem to conveniently forget how Scott treated Stiles throughout seasons 1 through 3A; he was not a very good friend to Stiles at all. He was entirely consumed with Allison and becoming first line, which almost got Stiles killed on more than one occasion, and yet Stiles was still loyal to a fault and still considered Scott his brother. But suddenly Stiles is the horrible friend because he took his anger and devastation out on Scott in 5x11? So Scott can be abusive and selfish towards Stiles and others in previous seasons, but no one else has the right to act that way? Stiles has already shown that heās willing to be angry and upset with Scott because of his father getting hurt (season one), so why would people be surprised this time when itās more of Scottās fault than the first time was? Was Stiles abrasive and hurtful towards Scott in 5x11? Was his āyouāll healā line careless and harmful? Most definitely. But how did people expect him to react to the person (the person who just kicked him out of the pack and denied him his chance at redemption) he sees somewhat responsible for his dad almost dying? Scott didnāt want the Sheriff to get hurt, he doesnāt want anyone to get hurt, classic Scott, but Scott trusted and confided in Theo even after Stiles vehemently denied wanting to give Theo the benefit of the doubt; so Scott ignored Stilesā hunch and skepticism about Theo, which heās done before, which got people hurt, however, this time Stilesā dad got hurt. Who wouldnāt be angry and betrayed over that? People also need to realize that Stiles had no idea that Theo killed Scott, so how could he be concerned and sympathetic over Scott dying when he didnāt know about it? In 5x10 Theo tells Stiles that he canāt save his dad and help Scott; not the other way around. People are also complaining about this episode being all about Stiles, which it wasnāt, there were numerous plot points concerning Lydia and Parrish, but the Sheriff was dying, Stilesā only family member, his father who he loves more than anything was dying, so of course the episode was going to be about that. How could it not be? Their relationship has been important since the beginning. Some of the next couple of episodes are suppose to mainly focus on Kira and Malia, so Iām prepared to deal with petty complaints about that too unless people are just being biased hypocrites because this episode was for Stiles and his father. You have every right to express and have your opinion on this, but you can do so without being rude, dismissive, biased, and despicable.
