My Favorite Things As A Japanese Language Student

Hi everyone, how are your studies going?

Today, let’s talk about the things I like the most about being a Japanese language student.

Making greetings last forever. おはようございまーーーーす.

Imagining weird ways to remember a kanji instead of actually learning it.

Making lame Japanese jokes and not even be ashamed of it.

Showing how ugly the kanji I just wrote is to my friends proudly.

Complaining about how hard kanji are all the time knowing that my friends are going through the same thing.

Using boring linguistic terms to make it look like I’m an expert.

Watching anime to “practice my listening skills”.

Spending all my money on textbooks even though I probably don’t need that many.

I’ve made so many wonderful memories in both my first and second year of University. Hopefully, I will make more of them in my third year. Hope you enjoyed it and have fun in whatever you’re doing! See you soon!

Black Dandan Mian w/o soup (actually a little). Served cold w/ lots of black sesame, two large whole red peppers and quite a few of cut ones, and a pinch of ground Chinese pepper corns. #dandanmian #tantanmen

Spicy (tonkotsu) miso ramen. Both red pepper and Chinese pepper (huajiao) were used. Hot and spicy and umai! #ramen #tonkotsu

The menu said "Tom Yam Kung Ramen" but it actually came with Thai flat rice noodles instead of Chinese wheet noodles. #ramen

"Soupless ramen", which actually had some under the noodles. Eating instruction: mix all the ingredients well, with the super-soft-boiled egg which comes with the dish, pour rice vinegar to taste, and slurp! #ramen #soupless #ラーメン #油そば
