poe just rolled his eyes. “ i’m delightful, ” he added. “ with my expert skills, pssh, ” he shook his head, both of them knowing full well that he was reckless at times.

“ hey, we’ve both got reputations, ” he insisted with a small laugh to show he was only teasing. “ don’t want anyone to think we actually like each other. ”

“That would have been nice, but I’m just glad we got a taste.” Freshly cooked meals are still a new concept to her, as she had survived solely on portions and MRE rations prior to her time with the Resistance. She still finds herself eating MRE rations more often than not because of how unpredictable the war is. There’s not a lot of time to cook and Rey certainly doesn’t have the skill set necessary to do so. “Not coming from someone like that. poe was a decent cook himself. picked up a few things from his dad, who had clearly been the more domestic one of his parents. not that he got to break the skills out very often it also wasn’t something he publicized. didn’t exactly fit with his image, which he cared more about than he may admit.

“ yeah, anything with death in it is usually a no-go for me, ” he joked with a laugh. “ even though it did sound kinda badass. ”

at her question he chuckled. “ i like to think i’m pretty easy to get along with, thank you very much, ” they did tend to have a very present banter that could get carried away at times though. “ i won’t tell anyone if you don’t? ”

“ it was delicious, i’m kinda peeved we didn't grab any for the road, ” he admitted, putting on some background tunes from an ancient radio-like device he had. “ i have no idea, but i’m willing to bet not something we want. ”
