Forgive my leave of absence, I have been recovering from a rather unfortunate fall.
Into one of Erik's traps.
Again.
Alright, Nadir. I’ll bite. Why exactly did you come here? I highly doubt it was to see an “old friend". And just to make myself rather understood… Stay out of my affairs. Any meddling will be dealt with under the harshest possible terms.
Well after your escape I was forced to resign. And I figured someone should keep you out of trouble.
Of course.
So it’s true, then?
I have nothing further to say upon the matter.
Coming from you, that's as good as a "yes."
The young man in the hallway long, long after the gala performance who was raving about “a man’s voice… but no one there!" and interrogating Mlle. Daaé’s empty dressing room was a clue.
Ah yes… him. *glares at the wall with some venom* And of course you were watching?
Of course.
So it's true, then?
Monsieur, I ceased that search years ago.
However
it would seem you have taken quite a fancy to a certain member of the opera chorus, is this correct?
Who told you that juicy bit of gossip? *clears throat nervously*

perhaps not… But the management were being rather disagreeable. replacing my box attendant, what were they thinking? c’est imbeciles.
Erik are you perchance acquainted with the term “overkill"?

Do they? Well then I certainly left an impression, but don’t I always?
So it would seem. This time it would appear you have made your impression on several rather unfortunate attendees of the Sunday matinée. “20,000 kilos on the head of a concierge!" Have you anything to say for yourself?
accuse moi? Nadir, I am surprised at you. Not even ten minutes here and you are at my throat for a simple accident.
The Chandelier was going to fall eventually…
Perhaps, but was it really necessary to drop it on the poor woman's head?
.

youincompetentass replied to your post: WHERE IS EVERYBODY! the quiet is MADDENING!
BOO!
Nadir, you annoying little fart, I knew you would show up sooner or later Mon Ami.
Hello you great booby. It was a trick to find you, I'll let you know, although you did leave a fairly straightforward trail through Romania. I'm afraid at least half the countryside is convinced you're some kind of vampire.
youincompetentass started following you
Nadir! I was certain you’d arrive some time to rain on the festivities. How are you, mon ami?
As well as can be hoped when one has you for a friend. And yourself? Still have a penchant for insects, I see.
Ramadan [Open]
It was the sixth day of Ramadan and, true to my beliefs I was fasting; spending much of my time in prayer or reading from the Quar'an and keeping away from distractions. Darius had made himself scarce today, until we heard a knock at the door of the apartment. He went to answer it but I waved him away, curious to see who it was for myself.
I opened the door.
omg this is phantom of the opera in fucking sonic form

This. This is why I’m an opium addict.
At this point I can't say I blame you.

When one has been acquainted with Erik for as long as I have, one ceases to bat an eyelid should the man, say, climb in through the window of your second story flat at four in the morning as you are sipping your tea.
While perhaps ten years ago this would have struck me with terror to the very core, I now find it only an inconvenience in the extreme.
"Oh good, you’re awake. Were you having a nightmare? Probably of me.." Erik mused on as he fully entered the room. He dusted himself off and closed the window. He hoped that Nadir had not noticed that his masked friend had been shaken up. Often, Erik would enter unannounced. The daroga used to get frightened and jump at his voice, but now he rarely greeted Erik.
The Daroga sighed, setting his tea down on the coffee table.
"No, Erik. No nightmares. I simply awoke and chose to stay up and have some tea rather than risk the possibility of missing Fajr. Who have you killed now you old—" he cut off, having turned around and noticed the masked man’s somewhat haggard appearance.
"Erik, what has happened?" he said gravely, his brow furrowing in concern. Perhaps he really had killed someone.
Erik walked passed Nadir and began rummaging through the shelves and drawers.
"Oh don’t use that tone with Erik," Erik snapped as he passed the persian. “as if he is always causing trouble." He paused and suddenly turned to look at Nadir. The glance pulled him closer to the reality he was slipping from. The phantom finally collapsed into a chair. He untied his mask, folded it neatly on the table and wiped his forehead with the back of his wrist. Finally he placed his head into his hands.
"Jules was supposed to be in with my morphine a few days ago. He is always on time but I am becoming concerned daroga, do you see?" Concerned about the drugs or the person could not be concluded.
Erik got up and began fumbling through Nadir’s things once more, leaving his mask on the table. He thought that maybe he left a spare package somewhere.. That somewhere would not have been his own home due to having a small singing “guest".
The Daroga frowned and rose to his feet.
"If you find what I assume you are looking for, do you intend to walk back to the Opera house through the streets of Paris while completely inebriated at four o'clock in the morning? Honestly man, it's a miracle you made it here in one piece, given the state you are in! I have a room where you can rest for the day, and we'll bundle you back to your abode before the evening performance."
Why would you be awake at 4 in the morning? Drugs. || Closed
