His mother looks way too confident to have a rapist son though.
His parents have basically defended everything he’s done. They are just as fucked up as he is. Tragic.
If you don’t end up smiling while you are kissing someone, you are probably kissing the wrong person.
I wish I learned this before (via senselation)
thank god i hadn’t met you at seventeen, when i would’ve spilled my blood at your feet and looked up and asked, what else?, let you run away with every part of me, take the HeLa cells and start life all over without my permission. thank god i found your shoreline after i had already learned the difference between staying afloat by clinging to someone else’s life raft and swimming on my own through the stormy seas and pulling undercurrents. thank god you didn’t have to see me broken, wondering if the pieces ever fit together in the first place, terrified that there would always be ugly seams in the places i stitched myself back together the only ways i knew how.
i count my lucky stars you weren’t there the night my mom packed up and left, leaving a silence behind that still lingers heavy in our house that doesn’t feel like home. i’ll never know which four leaf clover or wishing coin or streaking comet finally heard me, but i am grateful it didn’t listen when i begged for love at seventeen. what would i have done with a gift like that, with a presence like yours? probably too much and not enough all at once, smothered it and ignored it all the same, held it too tight or let it go with those claw marks all over it. pushed when i meant to pull, taken when i actually wanted to give, left when i didn’t know how to stay.
i like to think of us as an inevitability: if not now, we would have happened eventually. my hands would have found yours in the backseat of our friend’s car, you would’ve bumped into me in the darkness of a dance floor. but to me the miracle is that we came together when we did, not a moment too soon, not so long apart that we found other people. thank god the third time is the charm. thank god for good timing. thank god i fell in love with you at twenty-three.
This campaign defies censorship in social media to raise awareness for early detection of breast cancer

A 13 year old girl watches the news and the footage of crying mothers will stay with her forever. A 14 year old boy hears the words “hate hate hate” and stifles the part of him that just wants love, love, love. The 15 year old girlfriends are afraid to hold hands at school the next day, but every time they brush up against each other it’s a whisper of “you are not alone”. The 16 year old boyfriends skip school and sit in a deserted park and talk about the future they’re worried they won’t have. The 17 year old girl bites her tongue when someone calls her a boy, because everywhere around her are reminders that she’s not safe. An 18 year old girl can’t express her pain in front of her family, so she sneaks away to a candlelight vigil, and when she starts crying she is comforted by a much older woman who has been to so many of these she’s lost count. Throughout the world, “it could have been me”, “it could have been us” is whispered behind closed doors. Throughout the world, “It could have been stopped!” is shouted into megaphones. Throughout the world, “We deserve better!” is cried out in despair.

sometimes the onion just fuckin nails it
Someone’s saying it
Where did you learn to kiss like that? I said I was a virgin, not a monk.
y’all act like girls are psycho for showing emotions like grow up
It made me wonder how many times we forgive just because we don’t want to lose someone, even if they don’t deserve our forgiveness.

You’ll meet her, she’s very pretty, even though sometimes she’s sad for many days at a time. You’ll see, when she smiles, you’ll love her.
