Easy Morning || Kyle & Natasha
Natasha dragged her fingers through her hair, brushing the strands out of her eyes so she could see the dropped purchases’ better. Nothing had been broken and nothing was hurting as far as she could tell. She hadn’t planned on tripping over today and was dreading the look on the faces of the general public and the guy next to her. She didn’t want or need anymore fake sympathetic smiles in her life.
She finally looked up at him and smiled sheepishly. “Yeah, yeah. I’m fine thank you. I think the pavement got more damage then I did.” She looked towards his offered hand and deciding it would look even more embarrassing if she stumbled whilst trying to drag herself up, she reached and gripped his hand firmly. Using her other one to pushed herself off of the ground, she was finally on her feet and feeling more embarrassed then ever with a blush across her cheeks that wouldn’t leave. “Just my pride, but that should heal with time.” She joked. “I think my stuff is ok, it doesn’t matter though. I just bought them as an excuse to get out of the house.” She finished with a shrug.
Kyle shook his head when she thanked him - it was completely unnecessary, really. He helped her up, waiting for her to get her feet flat on the ground before he let go of her hand and put both of his hands in his pockets. Blimey, it was cold. "Don't worry, I know it was the pavement's fault. Any damage it got in the collision was entirely its own er...fault." He'd said 'fault' twice, the realisation making him inwardly cringe.
He chuckled a little at the joke. She didn't seem to be injured. Good. Especially good if she was joking about it.
"Why would you, though?" Kyle queried after she commented on leaving the house. "I mean, you don't have to answer. It's just that...well, it's really bloody cold."
Yer jokin’. Fucks sake. I’m absolutely boycottin’ Christmas this year, I tell ya. Can’t be arsed wi’ it.

And yeah, yeah it is. She’s doing her masters in NYU, so she’s too far and too busy to visit often. And even thought we used to want to rip each other apart when we were living together, I miss her like hell now.
