Luna.

This weekend my boyfriend and I also made a trip to Dupont Circle. I wasn't feeling to hot so the trip didn't exactly last very long, but we managed to grab some food.. (surprise, surprise).

We stumbled along this interesting little spot, Luna Grill & Diner. The restaurant walls were covered with retro abstract artwork. In the bathroom the walls were covered with words from a poem, and drawings of famous men and women who've all made an impact on American history.

Although the restaurant's decor may have given off a funky vibe, the food presentation wasn't that of a typical diner. I was actually presently surprised, and I definitely recommend the salmon.

(We also read on the menu that they have drinks for $3 during happy hour from 4-7pm!!)

Eastern Market

So this past weekend my sorority hosted a cabaret entitled "UnMask the Mystery" it was a masquerade ball theme and my boyfriend was in town so he took me mask shopping.

Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures in the costume shop, Backstage Inc., but they had some great pieces, I ended up with this beauty..

Our friend Cesar came along for the trip as well, and we ended up exploring the rest of Eastern Market and getting food from this new restaurant The Chesapeake Room. They had THE best bison burger I've ever had! We also spotted some of DC's gourmet food trucks that everyone goes crazy over.

So Serge Becker the owner of my favorite spots in NYC, La Esquina, opened up a new Jamaican eatery in the city last month, Miss Lily's. Apparently over the past month its been getting a lot of buzz from the cool kids out there.
