What do Nadia, Josie & Lizzie and Hope have in common?

1. Problemantic Pregnancy

Nadia: Katherine’s pregnancy was considered shameful, because she was pregnant with a child out of wedlock which wasn’t a honorable thing back then 

Josie & Lizzie: Their mother is a vampire, who carried the twins via surrogacy (she didn’t really have a choice). When they got older, they started to siphon Caroline, which is probably painful.

Hope: Hayley was ‘the chosen one’ who got pregnant by the famous Klaus Mikaelson with the words first & only tribrid. Due to that she was in extreme danger during her pregnancy

2. Traumatic Birth

Nadia: Nadia was taken away by her grandfather, who didn’t allow Katherine to hold her baby for once. Katherine didn’t even get to really see her daughter. Losing her was the first step of Katherine’s change.

Josie & Lizzie: they didn’t want to be born, because they wanted to keep their magical source aka Caroline. They had to get them out via c-section because due to the siphoning Caroline began to desiccate.

Hope: Hayley was kidnapped and killed shortly after birth only to wake up alone as a hybrid and trying to find her baby being almost sacrificed by witches.

3. Absent Parents:

Nadia: Her father is unknown and she met her mother 500 years later only to die shortly after. Katherine believed for 500 years that Nadia was dead, killed by Klaus as a child.

Josie & Lizzie: They were on the run with Caroline for a short time; Caroline couldn’t make it to the twins 16. birthday as she was staying in Europe.

Hope: Both Klaus and Hayley were on-again-off-again absent, even though it was involuntary. They died in order to protect her. Hope ended up as an orphan as a teenager.
