I will not be online regularly starting tomorrow at least through Sunday. My grandmother is very close to dying, and I am going out of town to see her. My sadness knows no bounds, and it is drowning out my muses. I will try when I can, but I do not know exactly when I will be able to write again. I apologize to everyone waiting for a reply from me.

A Day in the Gardens - Margaery/Theon

It was a day much like any other in young Margaery's life - she'd spent the morning at lessons, and the hour after lunch practicing her needlework. Now she was free at last to enjoy the beautiful weather however she pleased, and she knew exactly who she wanted to spend it with.

She sought out Theon Greyjoy, only a few years her senior, and who she had grown up knowing as well as any of her brothers. After Robert's Rebellion he had been sent to her father to foster, a test of his loyalty to the crown.

She found him in the yard, practicing at archery. He was so proud of his skill with a bow. She liked to watch him usually, but today she was in the mood for an adventure.

"Theon! Come walk with me. I'm bored."

Theon pulled Margaery closer to him, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. “You don’t even need to ask, my lady.”

"Theon! Don’t be gross. I just want someone to snuggle with." Margaery had grown up with Theon always being around. He was like another brother to her.

Theon rolled his eyes. Pace yourself, Greyjoy. “I would be honored, as always.” He eyed her up and down. He had been a ward of Mace Tyrell for nigh on a decade now, and Margaery was more of a sister to him than anything else, though his feelings for her were less than brotherly since they had grown. Still, he kept his tongue and hands to himself.

Margaery had grown up with her cousins constantly around, and thus was unable to sleep without a bedmate. Somehow this night they had all disappeared to parts unknown, and she was left with Theon. She didn't mind - when she was younger, she and Loras often shared a bed. It didn't even occur to her that she could feel something for Theon other than sisterly affection.

"Brr, it's cold in here. Hurry up!"
