I had intended for this to go with a oneshot where Verso takes his own advice and imagines the things people of the past would say, talking to them one last time in camp before taking on the Monolith in act 2, but I never got around to finishing it... so you get the art!

Verso can’t make eye contact with Renoir.

When Renoir is talking to him in this scene, Verso looks up, down, and to the side, but he never actually meets Renoir’s gaze. He comes close to actually looking at him at the end, but it’s more like he’s looking past him than at him.

Here, as soon as Renoir turns to look at Verso, Verso looks away.

Renoir is walking up to him, but Verso still doesn’t look at him. He looks at the ground or to the side. When Renoir gets directly in front of him, it once again looks like Verso is looking past him. He’s faced in Renoir’s general direction, but his eyes aren’t focused on him.
