He watched her fingers trace over the light lines on his shoulder and sighed. He'd never exactly told her the story of where any of his scars came from, though most of them came from the same place. "I tried desperately to save my parents after the explosion. If I hadn't been stopped by Professor Layton, I would have been gone with them. The nearer I ran to the building, more and more debris would hit me... That's where most, if not all of the scars on my right side came from."

Despite surrounding signs, a woman was smoking a cigarette as she filled her gas tank. Promptly, the fuel ignited, causing the woman's hands to set aflame. Without thinking to roll on the ground to put the fire out, the woman ran down the street screaming, arms now ablaze as well.

A police car was at an intersection where it happened, and he tried to stop her, but the woman continued running. The officers only choice, he thought, was to shoot the woman to stop her and put the fire out.

When questioned on his course of action, the officer replied, "My only thought was to stop her. After all-- she was waving a fire-arm."
