Funny how love works...
When you’re sitting, tangled up in your bed sheets, on the verge of hyperventilation, a panic attack wrecking your body until you eventually pass out... and you wake up to a phone call, the first words from their mouth are “I love you”. All of your problems drain from your body, you can breath again, your joints don’t hurt anymore... Everything is just better...

Unsure where this came from, if not the palsied hands of the good Lord himself.
Simple premise: Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” slipped from 45 to 33 rpm. Nothing more; no studio trickery, no trip hop drum breaks. The guitar lopes back in and around itself. The bass becomes elastic, hot rubber. The violin stabs become sustained cello lines. The backing choir’s split harmony rattles around, slinking ghostly into the corner. And most importantly, Parton’s once-frantic vocal is transformed from bubblegum country scrawl into something approximating field holler reverence.

How I met my Soulmate...
It has been quite some time since the last time I was active on here. I have progressed in my career, I have met the love of my life, and we now have two beautiful and mischievous black kitties together.
We are still living in the great white north, in fact that was where we met, my love and I. Our story is anything but a whirlwind fairy tale, but I was able to keep him out of trouble after we had met. The funny thing is that he wasn’t my type at all, but there was something about him, a charm, that made me give him a chance. Now, we’ve been together for a little over a year now, and I have been having the time of my life. He is everything my past excursions could only dream of being. He has convinced me that love truly does exist, even for someone like me.
He is my best friend and I cannot wait to marry him next year.
