I need to write about how excited I am about Jon/Dany, as they have been my favorite characters since I started the show. Whether they get involved in a romantic relationship or not, the two heroes of ASOIAF will finally meet. I cannot wait to see how they will interact, and if they become close, I would love for them to notice their evident similarities. 

I want Dany to look at him and feel like there’s someone else like her out there. A young person who has lived as an outcast their whole live, who is now in a position of power in which he does not feel completely confident (because, let’s face it, in ADWD Dany was so confused and scared shitless about ruiling). 

I want them to finally have a friend. Both Jon and Dany. A political alliance will be the most exciting thing, of course, but they both have grown up so alone that I feel like it’s time they have a true friendship with someone, especially Dany, because Jon already has an incredible friendship with Sam. But Dany doesn’t really know what a real friend is like. I mean, she spent her whole childhood running from home to home with her brother so she certainly could not mantain a lasting friendship. I hope she can see in him someone who she trusts, and not only in a political way.

I want them to talk about how different it was to live in such a cold place like The Wall and in such a warm place as Essos. I want them to talk about how it was to live in such different cultures, like the wildlings and the dothraki. I want them to know that both their lovers died in their arms. I want Jon to prove Dany wrong about how much she hated the Starks (because of all the things Viserys had told her).

I want Dany to meet Ghost and Jon to meet the dragons and be amazed by creatures he dreamed of when he was little. I don’t just want them to have “boat sex”, I think they deserve a much better plot than just a romantic one. Because I think they deserve each other’s friendship and deserve to not feel lonely anymore.
