Dear Lisa Cimorelli
@lisacim I just wanted to leave a little note in response to your brutally honest and vulnerable post about self-esteem.Â
When you first cut your hair, I was kind of sad. Not because you looked bad, but because I have always wanted long hair and yours was gorgeous! And I guess I have to admit that that is something that stood out about you. But in the same way, your short hair stands out now; and itâs beautiful too. But more than your hair, behind your hair, and your perfectly white smile and every other beautiful part of you, is...you.Â
The Lisa that I watch on Snapchat every day is HILARIOUS. I rarely get on snapchat, but when I do, I swear I watch your story and get off. Youâre so honest, and vulnerable in a way that inspires to be real. And you are so real! I have loved watching you and your sisters let go of fear and walk out what God has called you to. And I see growth in you all the time! I honestly feel like I know because I get to watch you be flawless in music videos, but also so real on snapchat and on here. I am always telling my best friend I just wanna be friends with you. Youâre genuine, funny, honest, loving, kind, and God-fearing and I love that I get to kinda know you in these ways.Â
I hope youâre encouraged daily by the Truth that you are beautiful, set free, and walking in light. And regardless of what other people have to say, you do you because you do it so well.Â
Much love,Â
Chloe
I couldnât tell you what it was that inevitably made her so special to me, but I do know that there has never been another person that has made me feel as at home within my own skin as she has, and even in her silence, I can feel her loving me from wherever she may be.

While iâm waiting, mold me O Lord to be this kind of woman so I may be ready when I finally meet him.Â
A transformed life speaks for itself. It has taken years to overcome the shame that came with the choices I had made in my life. It's amazing how God used the right person at the right time to pour out His grace and His love to set us free from that shame, and created an unbreakable bond through two intertwining stories. My life is forever changed and so much better than I ever asked or imagined it to be. "If I told you my story, you would hear hope that wouldn't let go. And if I told you my story you would hear love that never gave up. And if I told you my story you would hear life, but it wasn't mine." the biggest question of the Christian faith.
I look at you and see all the ways a soul can bruise, and I wish I could sink my hands into your flesh and light lanterns along your spine so you know that thereâs nothing but light when I see you.

Iâm really boring if Iâm not comfortable with you
The realest thing you will ever need to know about me.
We donât know a lot about Jairusâ daughter. Her dad was a ruler in the synagogue. She was little, about twelve years old. We learn a little from her dad - his initial faith to seek Jesus for healing, his grief when it seemed that heâd lost her. But other than that, we donât know much about her. Was she obedient? Was she lovely and graceful? Was she his only beloved child or the last of many? Had they already known a life of sorrow or did everything they touch do well? Had they prayed long enough, hard enough for her healing only to see her condition worsen or had she fallen ill quickly, without any warning? Hereâs what I do know. It doesnât matter how dead you are or who you were before He told you to get up. In fact, I love how little we know about this story because it speaks volumes about who our Savior is. He didnât need a backstory or a rap sheet or testimony. He didnât need obedience or any effort on this little ladyâs part. There was faith, by grace, and everything else was Him bringing death to life. Moreover, we know nothing about what happened next. Did their whole family place their trust in Him and follow along as His disciples? Did she go on to become an incredibly passionate woman because she was saved in such an extravagant way? The truth is, none of that really matters. The basis of her identity - from our point of view, is that she was a girl who was dead and Jesus brought her back to life. And you, if you believe in Him, thatâs your story too. Last year, last week, even what you did last night does not define you. Your sin, your shame, your accolades, your community, and your family name - none of them matter. The fruit God produces after He raises you from the dead can be beautiful and God glorifying, but you are everything you are because of the moment where He said, âLittle girl - I say to you, ariseâ. You are everything you are because He brought you back. You are everything you are because you are loved. You are everything you are because youâve been made alive. Nothing in your life is beyond resurrection and nothing in your life is too dead for His healing touch to fix it. Arise
