i have a proposal
stop reblogging mods and cc that are permanently paywalled or cc that uses websites known to be infested with malware ( ad.fly and others like adfly ) donโt rb to cc finds blogs, to ur main, to WHATEVER, stop! sharing! them!!!!!! maybe this way itโll make people realize their cc aint gonna get anywhere if this is how they choose toย โshareโ it. simblrโs been around for a long time and as long as iโve known people have hated adfly right? i know i fucking do. and still, people STILL use it today which is INSANE. we need to show them that shits not gonna pass.
btw to add to this and reiterate on something i said in the replies: HAVING to use adfly skippers & bypass extensions just to get some goddamn cc should not be the norm. i have multiple adblockers, skippers and bypassers. even then adfly sometimes blocks my blockers. my extensions read some of these sites as so malicious they wont even open the link on the other side. just stop! letting! people! get! away! with! this! shit!!!!!
@public-ccfinds will only reblog creations that have been released to the public with no unsafe site links, make sure you give them a follow, too. <3
What to reblog:
Free/donation creators.
Early access creators that actually follow the rules.
Simmers sharing tutorials/resources for CC and mods.
Simmers who are writing storylines, sharing their legacies/challenges, or just being wholesome.
CC finds blogs/resources that share non-paywalled CC (Ex: my cc tracker, @public-ccfinds, @maxismatchccworld)
Reblog my Creator Ethics/Copyright Guide to new simmers/creators, so they know what they should/shouldnโt do when creating for the community. What not to reblog:
TSR/Simsdom/Adfly links (TSR has lost all respect since they support known doxxers)
Perma-paywalled CC creatorsโ posts, EVEN if the set in question is free [they will use free sets to lure people in]
Sets/content from creators that are early access but donโt release on time or have โpatron exclusive giftsโ
Simmers who are defending patreon exclusive/paywall creators by saying shit like โBut they worked hard!โ, โThe EULA doesnโt apply if the mesh is 100% theirsโ [this is a lie], or โYou donโt have proof that they did x, y, or z.โ
We gotta start as a community deciding that we donโt want to allow these people in our spaces. If you need a list of creators to block/avoid, hereโs my red flag list: You can literally go and just block those folks on tumblr/twitter so they donโt even show up as an option to reblog.
