Happiness (2021) Review

If you like shows like All of Us Are Dead and Sweet Home, I definitely recommend giving Happiness a try. 🤍

Happiness is a Korean drama that came out in 2021. The story follows two longtime friends who enter a contract marriage just so they can move into a new apartment. Sounds pretty simple, right? Well... everything changes when a mysterious virus starts spreading through the building, trapping everyone inside.

Now, here's the thing. This isn't just your regular zombie drama. It's so much more than that. Yes, there are infected people, but the real story is about survival, trust, and seeing how people act when they're pushed to their limits. Sometimes, the people are honestly scarier than the infected. 😭

I also have to talk about the chemistry between the two main leads because... wow. I honestly didn't expect it to be that good, but it was. There isn't a bunch of unnecessary romance, either. There's just enough to make everything feel natural without taking away from the main story.

⭐ Would I recommend it?

100% yes.

If you're looking for a drama that's going to keep you stressed every single episode while still making you care about the characters, this is definitely the one. I seriously couldn't stop watching.

When I Fly Towards You (2023) Review

If you're looking for a comfort drama that'll leave you smiling after almost every episode... this is definitely the one for you. 🤍

When I Fly Towards You is a Chinese drama that came out in 2023, but the story is set in 2012. It follows Su Zai Zai, a cheerful and optimistic student who transfers to a new school and instantly develops the biggest crush on the quiet, intelligent, and reserved Zhang Lu Rang.

Now, here's the thing. This isn't one of those dramas that's full of huge plot twists or nonstop drama. In fact, there's barely any drama at all. You watch this because it's such a heartwarming, feel-good story that just makes you happy.

Yes, the romance is adorable, but what I loved even more were the friendships. You don't just fall in love with the main couple—you end up loving the entire friend group. You get to watch them grow up together, go through life's ups and downs, and support each other through everything. It honestly feels so real.

And while it's a very wholesome drama, it isn't all sunshine and rainbows. It also touches on family struggles, growing up, and the challenges that come with becoming an adult. That's what made it feel so realistic to me.

Absolutely.

If you're looking for a Chinese drama that's comforting, wholesome, and will leave you feeling happier than when you started it, I seriously can't recommend this enough. It's one of those shows that reminds you how beautiful friendship and growing up can be.

Twinkling Watermelon (2023) Review

if you're looking for a show with time travel, funny love stories, comedy, heartfelt moments, and one that might make you cry a little... Twinkling Watermelon is definitely the one for you!!

This drama came out in 2023 and it follows Eun-gyeol, a student who's passionate about music. After discovering a mysterious music store, he suddenly travels back to 1995, where he meets his teenage parents before they ever fall in love. He even ends up starting a band with his dad called Watermelon Sugar, and from there, everything gets interesting.

Now, here's the thing. This isn't one of those dramas that's full of nonstop chaos or heavy drama every episode. It's more of a heartfelt, feel good drama that mixes comedy, romance, family and just enough emotional moments to keep you completely invested.

I honestly never got bored while watching it. It's one of those dramas where every episode leaves you happy, but still has those emotional scenes that hit you right in the heart.

Would I recommend it ?

Ang Mutya ng Section E (The Muse of Section E) (2025) Review {2 Seasons}

If you're looking for a show with high school drama, enemies to lovers, childhood trauma, friendships, and a whole lot of chaos, this is definitely one to add to your watchlist.

Ang Mutya ng Section E is a Filipino drama based on the hit Wattpad story by Lara Flores. The story originally has 3 books, and honestly after watching this, I completely understand why it's so popular in the Philippines.

The story follows Jasper Jean Mariano (Jay Jay), who transfers to HVIS and ends up as the only girl in section E, an all boys class full of troublemakers. That's where she meets the grumpy class president, Kiefer who wants nothing more than to get her kicked out. But Jay Jay isn't going anywhere and that's where everything starts.

Now here's the thing. This is so much more than just another high school romance. Yes, you get enemies to lovers, but you also get friendships, emotional backstories, family issues, and moments that honestly had me completely hooked. Every episode made me want to watch the next one.

The only downside, and it's a big one, is that season 2 part 2 still hasn't come out yet. It was originally supposed to be released but it ended up being delayed because of production and the actor's schedules. As of right now Viva One still hasn't announced a new release date.

So if you're someone who absolutely hates cliffhangers, I'd honestly recommend waiting until part 2 comes out before you start watching. Trust me on this one!

Would I recommed it?

100% yes. This was my first Filipino drama and it's still my favorite. I'm actually obsessed with it. Its funny, emotional, and exciting.

My Demon (2023) Review

If you're looking for a fun romance with a little bit of fantasy mixed in, this is definitely one to add to your watchlist.

My Demon came out in 2023 and it's about a 200-year-old demon who suddenly loses his powers, and somehow, they end up being transferred to the wrist of an icy corporate heiress. The two end up in a contract marriage and honestly? That's where all the fun begins.

If you're looking for a drama with a contract marriage, two people slowly falling in love, plenty of drama, and those moments where you're constantly scared something's going to happen to your favorite characters, I definitely recommend this one.

Its really entertaining, and I never found myself getting bored. Every episode made me want to start the next one immediately, and before I knew it, I had finished the whole show.

I honestly haven't heard a single bad review about the drama, and after watching it, I completely understand why. It's definitely one of my favorite K-dramas, and I had so much fun watching it.

Fireworks of My Heart (2023) Review

If you're looking for something that's more on the lovey-dovey side with just enough drama and action to keep things interesting, this is definitely the one for you.

Fireworks of My Heart is a Chinese drama that came out in 2023. It's about two high school sweethearts who meet again years later. One became a firefighter, and the other is an emergency room doctor. I absolutely loved that dynamic.

Now, here's the thing. This isn't one of those dramas where there's something crazy happening every five minutes. It's definitely more romance-focused, but I actually like that. You still get family drama, emotional moments, workplace scenes, and a little bit of action, but the loves story is really what carries the show.

I also really liked how it touched on controlling families and emotional scars instead of making it just another basic romance.

So if you're looking for nonstop revenge, murder, or huge plot twists, this isn't the drama for you. But if you're in the mood to smile, fall in love with the characters, and watch a really sweet romance with good chemistry, I definitely recommend this one.

The Penthouse (2020) Review

If you're looking for a calm, wholesome k-drama.... Keep Scrolling!

The Penthouse is absolutely insane in the best way possible.

This drama has 3 seasons, so if you're looking for something that'll keep you entertained for a while, you've found it. It's packed with murder, mystery, family drama, revenge, betrayal and plot twists that honestly never seem to stop. Every time you think you've figured something out.. you haven't.

This isn't your typical romance drama. Yes, there's love and even a little enemies to lovers, but the real star of this show is the chaos. There isn't a single boring episode.

If you loved The Escape of the Seven, I have a feeling you're going to love this too.

Hell University (2026) Review

This show completely caught me by surprise.

Hell University is a Filipino drama that came out this year, and it's based on a Wattpad story written by KnighinBlack back in 2016. After years of waiting, Viva One finally turned it into a series, and honestly... they did a really good job.

If you've watched Home School (the thai drama), you'll probably love this. It has a similar mysterious school vibe, but it still has its own story and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Expect romance, mystery, drama and so many plot twists. Every episode had me wanting to know what was going to happen next.

As of right now, a second season is expected, and I'm really hoping it happens because the story has more to tell.

Would I recommend it?

Absolutely. If you're looking for a drama that's going to keep you hooked while making you question everyone's motives, this one's definitely worth your time.
