“What a terrible feeling to love someone and not be able to help them.”
— Jennifer Niven, All The Bright Places
Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone,” he told me, “just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby (via goodreadss)
I’ve always believed in numbers, in equations, in logic and reason. But after a lifetime of such pursuits: I ask What truly is logic? Who decides reason? My quest has taken me to the physical, the metaphysical, the delusional, and back. I have made the most important discovery of my career - the most important discovery of my life. It is only in the mysterious equations of love that any logic or reasons can be found.
A Beautiful Mind (2001) Dir. Ron Howard

Every time you see this, reblog it. There is always someone in college that will see this.
TP men are awesome. Pass it on.
The first time I heard this; it was on shuffle on spotify. I was trying to sleep then this beautiful piece started to play. I don't know why I found this very beautiful but I guess it has something to do with how its rhythm goes. Give it a try and tell me what you think.
Happy 37th Birthday Chris Pratt !
How do you turn water into holy water?
You boil the hell out of it
You're not an ENTP as your posts and experiences sound nothing like one. No wonder you think mbti isn't a good indicator of personality, you've mistyped yourself.
*Deep Breathe* Thank you so much for this. I’m going to have so much fun here. *Rubs hands together*
First of all it is amazing that you can pass judgment on my life from just the few moments I choose to share. You are basing your judgment on a lack of insight or transcendence. It’s interesting that you think what you see is all there must be which shows a lack of development in “object permanence”. This is the idea that things can still exist or happen even if you don’t see them. Your opinion has nothing to do with who I am. If a blind person calls a tree a rock it doesn’t change the fact that it is actually a tree. Now as for the validity of MBTI unlike your judgment on my personality, I did not base it on personal experience, I based it research findings. If you are studying Psychology in college one of the first things your Psychology professors will tell you is that MBTI is fun but lacks validity. Psychology is a science and is not based on how you think your brain works from personal experience. What makes a good personality test is it’s ability to predict behavior. MBTI has been tested a multitude of times and has yet to show any predictive qualities. The reason books keep being published is because people buy them and the publishers and authors continue to keep their wallets full. Now let’s just pretend that MBTI was legitimate. People go through different experience and again with the hard science people have shown to act consistently 33% of the time. Each person has different life experiences and emotions and genetics and levels of intelligence and functioning which are all going to factor into how they act. Some people might be depressed or have social anxiety or a million of other things which is going to make one person in the same personality group act different from another person in the same group. Now I could continue to argue and support my claims forever but I have some real concerns to deal with. I hope the next time you try to pass judgment on somebody you keep this in mind or at least have some hard evidence.
Sincerely, @a-peachy-bitch
P.S. Just because it’s not legit doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining
Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.
Bill Bullard (via fy-perspectives)
