I’m not sure when it’d happen...
dying on the first day of school?
murdering several people?
rotting in jail for more than a month?
having to fight a dragon at the behest of a prophecy with their only adult help being a demon, a werewolf and the only valid cop?
being set on an extremely traumatizing quest for a school grade in which most of them died at least once?
so many possible jumping off points...
and i mean look at the group post sophomore year:
-an archdevil rockstar with an affinity for father figures
-a licensed detective working on a contract with heaven who killed the shafow cat
-a saint of a forgotten g-ddex that they brought back single handedly who unapologetically tells g-ds to fuck off
-the oracle who escaped an abusive household, killed her abusive father, and kicks ass with a sword arcane focus all while dealing with panic attacks
-a half-elf who wooed a fire elemental, wields the sword of elven kings and ended toxic masculinity with the power of dance
- a gold hearted boy who isn’t afraid to got ape shit for his friends, who managed to figure out cell service in the nightmare kings forest, who was the first to break free of the nightmare kings forest, who is a rockstar as well (and the greatest wizard of their age)
not even mentioning ragh, tracker, ayda, aewlyn, and everyone else who back them.
they’d be unstoppable
