Sometimes I see cisdisabled anti-transabled people say stuff like "they [transabled people] wanna be us [cisdisabled people]?! WHY would anyone WANT to be like us?!" And as a cisdisabled person, that's just... so sad.

I love being disabled. I love the disabled community, frankly I love being 'different' (gives me an ego boost lol), and I just love myself - including my disabilities.

I can't imagine how horribly sad it must be to not be able to think of a single reason someone would want to be or like being disabled. That must be so depressing.

It's just so upsetting to see other disabled people hate that part of themselves so much.

i think a big part of normalizing radqueers is getting people to understand that radqueers ARE "normal". a lot of people seem to view rq aligned beings as "chronically online" (which is an ableist term but im not even getting into that right now) to such an insane extent that they almost forget that we really do exist outside of blog posts. radqueers go grocery shopping, radqueers go to the library, radqueers get jobs, radqueers go to school, radqueers attend protests, radqueers attend pride. radqueers are everywhere you are, because we arent that different from you at the end of the day. we just have less hateful hearts.

truly transIDs are nothing more than "this is important to my identity" for a lot of folks -- and that's what anti-transID folk don't recognize.

"Transhaircolor? Just dye your hair". Okay. But to that person pink hair may be important to their identity. Maybe they're even dysphoric when they can't have it. Why does it matter to you?

That's like saying "transgender? just undergo surgeries." Okay. Does that suddenly make being transgender menial? (and to the 'well they're oppressed' people: Are transgender people only as valid as the bigotry against them?)

Same with perma labels and stuff like that... it's truly a diverse community and I love us for that -- even if others will view it with scorn.

Nothing can convince me otherwise that radqueers aren't valid. Anti-radqueers don't even know what radqueers are, if you look at what they write it as, it's literally wrong almost every time.

Please know the definition and what you're talking about before you make a stance on it. Genuinely. This is also why I believe many anti-radqueers are radqueer because they don't understand what it actually is until they learn.

If you are anti-recovery, I'm going to instantly assume you are not a safe person.

If what you actually mean is that you are against forced recovery, then say it — you are anti-forced recovery. Words matter.

When you throw around “anti-recovery” in a community, even if you mean it differently, the message it sends is loud and clear: "If you choose to recover, you’re a traitor." It tells people that their support system will vanish the moment they step toward healing, even if they still see themselves as part of the community.

Recovery should never be treated like a betrayal. Healing doesn’t make you “less real.” It doesn’t erase what you've been through. And communities that paint recovery as abandonment are only deepening people's fear of getting better.

You don’t have to pressure people to recover. But you sure as hell shouldn’t shame them for wanting to.

To those who wish to recover yet are scared to be shunned - you are always welcomed, your story and your experience will always be loved, and whatever you choose for yourself will always be uplifted. <3
