Fat people can never JUST BE FAT.

We can't be fat because it's just a normal way for a body to be, people always have to have all these "reasons" for "why" people might be fat, as if we need to justify our bodies, justify why our bodies are the way they are. As if we need to have a "reason" for "why" we are fat.

It always has to be "oh they can't help it", "oh they just don't have access to healthier foods!", "oh it's because-" MAYBE I'M JUST FUCKING FAT AND THAT'S IT. THAT'S THAT. NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS ABOUT IT, THAT'S IT.

If your fat acceptance has to include all these "justifications" and "reasons" for "why" our bodies are the way they are, I don't think you accept us as much as you think.

The reason why fat people can't "just be fat" to some people is because they want to, have to believe that fatness is the result of some behavior or condition. Otherwise they can't feel superior to us or pity us.

If fatness is a natural state of some human bodies then these people would have to rethink why they feel disgust, hatred and/or pity when they think about us. They would have to rethink their decision not to date, hang out with or hire us based solely on our fatness.

These people absolve themselves after treating fat people badly by telling themselves we deserve it either because of our behavior (since behavior is correctable), or because it isn't their fault we can't be the person they want as a partner/employee "because of our condition." They retain their sense of moral purity and guiltlessly dispense of any additional thought about our humanity, welfare, or worth.
