I'm begging you, all fans, to actually care about the wrestlers as human beings instead of just characters on your TV show. Saw a lot of comments about how it's stupid that Gabe Kidd got injured (or any wrestler), therefore, the (War) Dogs had to lose their trio belts.
Saw some comments as well on social media about how Toni Storm is injured (or preggo), so they had no choice but to have Thekla fight Jamie Hayter, even though they didn't have much interaction (which is wrong, because Jamie was the first woman Thekla interacted with when she arrived in AEW). And then blaming it on Tony Khan, calling it that they had no build-up whatsoever. Did you guys even pay attention?
Plans changed, sometimes in the middle of the match. Yes, you are allowed to be upset about how things are going because your favorite wrestlers or some storylines had to make some changes, but holy crap, blaming Tony Khan and even the wrestlers themselves for getting injured and thereby derailing your enjoyment is cruel.
How many times does this have to be said? First, when Adam Cole had to forfeit the title because of his illness, a lot of fans were blaming Kyle Fletcher, even downright harassing him on social media, and at some point, also blaming Adam himself because he shouldn't have announced it in the middle of PPV, because fans paid for it and didn't want to see a sad announcement. What the hell.
No compassion whatsoever.
