AEW and How They Handle Their Belts

Christening this blog with how I see AEW belts and how they treat them (this was written before Samoa Joe and Mercedes lost their titles)

Which one is the bad one?

In the movie the Good isn't that Good, doing many morally very dubious things, and is more commonly called Blondie. More of an anti-hero we root for, especially through his obsessive homoerotic friendship turned bloodfeud. He wears light colors.

The Ugly is the main character and truly the good guy, but a criminal and looked down on by society from birth so he fell into petty crime. You could say his Bark is much worse than his Bite. He walks in shades of gray.

The Bad is the character who wears all black, and was famous for his dark hair and piercing eyes, being named 'Angel Eyes'.

Reminder that Bandido escalated feuds with Kyle when Brody just wanted to tag and have fun by being rude and interrupting his segments, he riled up hard when Mox made fun of his reliance on showboating and crowd approval to the point he yelled 'go fuck yourself, bitch' and turned a perfectly nice title match into a bloody honor spat.

He's been... Let's say 'increasingly aggressive' in his title defenses of the Ring of Honor World championship lately, to the point of heelishness, but hey, it's against Vanilla Baby, who cares about Vanilla Baby? What point did he have about showing up every week to actually represent Ring of Honor as a champ should and not just for PPVs while off fucking around in CMLL or AEW? That doesn't sound reasonable at all.

Or even the fact that this week, Brody once again opens with 'hey, I'm sorry, he wasn't here but I wanted to thank you for both of us' like a jilted spouse who doesn't realize what a neglectful asshole her spouse has turned into. When's the last time you went dancing? Why are you always apologizing for him or doing his grunt work instead?

Moxley telling Will that there are no friends at the top is so interesting when Mox lost the Men's World Championship because Hangman had friends.

Everyone including that new Dropmick documentary seems to remember the Hangman and Swerve feud escalating to 'insane mutual obsession' after Swerve broke into Hangman's house and the resulting deathmatch, but I would like to re-submit for the courts parts of this promo from before their First Match where Hangman's tone seems to be... 'Well this is destroying my marriage VERY QUICKLY' and Swerve's response is 'Good.'

I love that the tnt title is a reflection of yourself. It's why it's the most customizable title in AEW. From Jack's Scapegoat title to Kyle's pink belt. With Kevin it reflects his greed. All those pictures of him with lavish materials and showing off his expensive lifestyle

His greed to be "Jet 2 Belts." Makes me wonder what Hangmans tnt title will reflect...
