"Guess what? We're having a baby!"

"Do I look fat to you?"

"I went to the doctor today."

"You know how I've been getting kinda sick recently? Well, turns out, I'm not actually sick..."

"I cannot believe you didn't remind me to do the laundry!" Susan whined, as she shoved clothes into the wash-bin with much more force than actually needed. "Or better yet, you could have done it for me." Susan glared, not having the time or patience for this today. "Why do I always have to be the one to do the laundry?"

"No, Willow. It's much too cold to have the air conditioner up that high. Please, we don't need it." Susan told her daughter, as she gently pulled Willow's arm away from the machine. "It only needs to be on low. If it were up to me, it wouldn't be on at all, but your father wants on because he's sweating." Susan said sternly, putting an abrupt end to the argument at hand.

During Susan's extended stay in America with her parents, Susan became quite fond of taking enough time out of her busy schedule to write letters to her siblings, in their respective places. 

-Outside of my Susan's main storyline (which is AU); Susan regularly communicated through letters with all of her family members, including her parents. This form of communication lasted up until the train accident, which resulted with the death of her family.

She had become sick because her siblings, again, wouldn’t believe a word she said. She had seen Aslan, she’d really seen him and yet they were treating her as if she was crazy. "Am I not trustworthy?"

↣ "Oh, Lucy." Susan sighed. "Maybe you were just seeing things. Or..." Susan paused for a moment, taking the opportunity to look down at her younger sister. "Maybe it was nothing but any old lion. Did you forget?" Susan sighed. "These woods are full of dumb beasts now." It was exasperating, dealing with all of the nonsense that went through Lucy's mind. Susan couldn't believe someone could have such an active imagination, even in Narnia. "You are trustworthy, Lu. It's just... Sometimes your imagination tends to run a bit rampant."

Leslie took great care in slowly moving her body forward. All this excitement… All these royals! Boy, Leslie just wanted to run as fast as she could towards every little thing brought her way. A queen. A real, live queen! It was all Leslie could do to stop herself from automatically hugging Susan. "Oh, it’s amazing here! I just can’t wait to see what you have to teach me!" Leslie paused, momentarily forgetting her manners. "Your highness!"

Susan chuckled. "Please, call me Susan." She ushered for Leslie to sit down beside her. "Where do we start..." She wondered aloud, gently tapping her fingers against the wooden table. "I suppose we could start off with the creatures and the trees." Susan nodded, and looked over at Leslie. "The trees talk, and they move. Some of them like to dance." This was a subject her younger sister, Lucy, would be far better suited for. However, that would be saved for another day. "The animals talk. Deep in the forests, however, still lurk the 'dumb beasts'. After the Telmarine invasion, which will be went over later, the animals were treated as 'dumb beasts'. When one is treated like a dumb beast long enough, that is sadly what they become. While they are dangerous, they never come into our limits."

Queen of Old

"Woah."  Leslie stopped dead in her tracks, gazing up at the great castle. This was it. This was none other than the great castle Cair Paravel. Aslan had specifically told her that this is where the Kings and Queens of Narnia lived. Here, she was to watch over the Kings and Queens. Learning the ways of this world and it’s magnificent creatures.  Resisting the urge to explore the castle, Leslie walked into the enormous library, gazing her eyes upon one of the Queens of old.

Susan quietly held up one finger to the child, as she took a moment to finish writing. Taking a quick moment to read over her paper, Susan looked up and gently smiled at Leslie. "Come in, come in dear!" She said, as she stood up and ushered for Leslie to move forward. "And welcome to Narnia!"
