#long live the flamingo pose™
I am laughing at this review of cats calling it a “computer aided hellscape” and thought Taylor’s appearance was the okay-est part
Female artists in music have dominated this decade in growth, streaming, record and ticket sales, and critical acclaim. So why are we doing so well? Because we have to grow fast. We have to work this hard, we have to prove that we deserve this, and we have to top our last achievements. Women in music, on stage or behind the scenes, are not allowed to coast. We are held at a higher, sometimes impossible-feeling standard. And it seems that my fellow female artists have taken this challenge and they have accepted it.
I didn’t know then that the cycle would keep going on and on and they would find something new I wasn’t doing right… and I would keep accommodating, over-correcting to appease my critics…
(the most important words Taylor has ever said, okay)

I’d like to tell you a very important lesson I’ve learned along the way. Would you like to hear it?

Love love love.

I’m the only one of me, baby, that’s the fun of me.
I loved being able to thank my fans for this life they’ve given me. Being on tour, I get a nightly reminder of how lucky I am to get to stand on giant stages and sing for sold-out crowds. Now I have so many girls my age coming up to me and saying, “I’ve listened to you for seven years.” It’s crazy to me that we’ve been in each other’s lives that long and it still feels new. But hey, I guess that’s what real love feels like.
