The Secret

After 8 years of togetherness and memories, it's time for a change 🙈 Change is good and it's the only thing that's constant in life. Always try to keep your head high and have an open heart and mind :) to positivity !! 🙌🏼

To be or not to be

The title came from wanting "to be in a relationship or to choose staying as friends?"... I was having a deep conversation with my friend/roommate tonight and we couldn't help but talk about relationships and life in general. For some background, I just got out of an 8 year relationship. My question to my roommate was "would you have rather spend 8 years with someone as friends or as lovers?" to which he immediately responded as "friends" and I asked "why?". In his defense, most people depend their happiness on other people or just the idea of being with other people, which is pretty petty I must agree. Plus, he also doesn't believe in spending time with someone for so long and what happens if one day, that person wakes up and stops feeling the same way? - again , it makes total sense. However, what I don't completely agree is not allowing yourself to feel that love/want/desire from another human being. As a matter of fact, I believe that we should all feel that pain/hurt/sorrow/sadness/grievance/happiness because only then we will realize how important it is to love and to be loved. Again, not everything is permanent so having an open mind that someday, that person who you used to spend every hour of every day (almost) can/will disappear from your life- sad but true. Sometimes, all you can hope for is for the very best ... Like what they say, our lives are meant to be lived like in the books, every chapter is different and people will come and go... You have to just keep going and move on. I must admit, I thought for a second , should I have stuck to being as friends with my ex in the beginning to foster the relationship ? But then again, I wouldn't have grown to be the person I am now. Nor would I have known what I wanted in a guy ..amirite? After having that talk with my friend, I don't regret the past 8 years with my ex even though it took one day for him to stop communicating with me.

Tis the season of weddings 😂 Look at how amazing the location is!! Pictures don't do justice. Boston Getaway with one of my favorite people on Earth ❤️

Meet my sister from another mother, KP. I met this girl back in 2010 from college. We instantly became roommates but little did you know that we hated each other as roommates. However, our hatred for each other turned into a long lasting friendship and sisterly love because to this day, no matter how far away we are from each other, we are always there for each other.

She has always been one of my go-to people whenever I’m feeling down or even when I have something exciting to share. Likewise, I do the same for her. When you see us together, you would think we’re sisters from the way we interact with each other. She’s not afraid to tell me off and I’m the same with her. I guess that’s what you get when you start as enemies. Anyhow, I’m very happy to see this amazing girl turn into a woman. Love love love her! ❤️

This past weekend, I decided to spend it in Boston with one of my best friends. This photo was taken at Boston Commons Pond. You can see how perfect the weather was that day and how happy I was posing for pictures. More photos to follow ! A little something about Boston- it's one the greatest cities in America since Massachusetts is one of the original states before America was born and there is a lot of historical sites/parks in Boston. I always love visiting this city because the architecture of some of the old buildings are phenomenal, specifically Copley Square Church. If you've never been to Boston, I suggest you visit this incredible city :)

This came on my radio and I couldn't help but LOL!!! Too many memories with this song. To this day, I'm still wondering and in awe how quickly this song went on viral and became super popular 🙈 love it though!

The image above was taken after I retrieved that ring ! Let me tell you about the ring first- that ring was given to me by my mother on Mother’s Day and she specifically told me to hold onto it and not lose it.. So here’s what happened.

It was on that one perfect afternoon where my friend and I were enjoying the gorgeous sun while staring at the horizon across the Hudson River after work when suddenly, my ring slips off my finger and falls in between this cemented “rock” and that’s when the challenge started…

I could see from afar (about 2 feet) my ring situated on top of all the other nasty stuff that have fallen into that cemented rock.. Nasty. So my first thought, I need a stick to try and hook the ring … - wrong !

My very smart friend thought of the most brilliant idea. He looks at my bag and goes “what’s in your bag?”

This sounded like that article from a @cosmopolitanmagazine where you ask celebrities “What’s in their bag?” section …

Anyhow, he looks at my bag- decides to use the strap from my bag, my hair tie, and the back of my earrings (to use as a hook)….

I thought to myself - “how is this gonna work?!” I definitely had some doubts but my friend was very persistent and assured me that he’s got it under control meanwhile I sat there looking for other ways to get my ring back.

About 30 minutes have passed and no progress has been made and I wanted to quit when suddenly, I look at my friend’s face and he had this face of someone who just found success for the first time 😂 - that moment, I knew that he’s got it!!! What a relief!!!! Huge thank you fwend and because of that you a special fwend!

So the lesson here is, sometimes you can’t underestimate someone’s ability when they say they can do it since I tend to do that. Lastly, who would have thought that I would have the right stuff in my bag ?! Talk about coincidence. Too real!

Mom, if you’re reading this, I took care of the ring and I’m still taking care of it ❤️
