I’m back

He keeps a hand over my heart every time he feeds, feeling its rythm and cadence to reassure himself he never takes too much. The gentleness and care he takes with me are concepts I never knew could exist like this and I have to quickly get a strong grip of my emotions, for it wouldn’t do him any good to see me cry as he takes my blood.
