i feel like we don't talk enough about young Ragnar and it's honestly a shame because he was such a good man and an honorable viking. he inspired people to follow him, he was kind, loving and caring. he cared for his sister and all he wanted was to see her happy. he loved his brother, even more like he would a brother by blood, and he never saw him being saxon as a difference between them. he trusted him the most and Ragnar was always there for him, even if Uhtred sometimes wasn't. their relationship was so wholesome and their bond so deep and pure, i hate that they broke them apart in the end. he was the best of them all, but he died by a coward's hand in his sleep. his death was so brutal, unfair and heartbreaking. he deserved to live more and fight more. he deserved a better death and he deserved to die with his sword in his hand. sure he had his flaws, but overall he was soft and good. he deserved better.
