Overthinking kills creativity. Perfectionism kills creativity. If there's something you want to do as a creative, then get off your ass and do it. You'll never achieve anything if you're stuck in your head all the time. Don't worry about the quality. Worry about actually getting shit done. You can fix everything later. So, don't think about. Just do it.
You'll appreciate it later.

...and then, I'm brought back to those days.
Some people just don't know how to love themselves. The inability to love oneself comes from a lifetime of dependence on others to feel loved, wanted and appreciated. A person becomes this way due to many factors, but at the heart it all stems from never learning how to love. If you never learned how to love, then loving yourself let alone anyone else will be lost on them. If they can't find love within, if they don't know how to nurture themselves, then they look for it in other places, things and people.
They get addicted to external love because that's the only way they can feel loved and wanted. It doesn't matter if it's harmful or not. They don't care. For a moment, however fleeting or lasting, they feel complete. It's a high you can only get from the actions and words of other people. It becomes your drug. So, you seek out more of it. And then, you become an attention seeker; doing things and acting in ways that'll get people to want you, to love you, to appreciate you. And then, loving yourself no longer matters.
But that feeling goes away, and you're stuck with emptiness and loneliness. You never learned how to love. Searching for answers on how to love won't do you any good either. Nobody can tell you how to love you. It comes from within; acknowledging and accepting yourself as you are. So, you're stuck in a repetitive loop longing and wishing for the day you can find the love you crave elsewhere inside yourself.

If you hang around someone long enough, then it's inevitable that you'll find something about them attractive. This is something I've learned and experienced throughout my life. There have been many times where I didn't think I would vibe with someone, then after laying back and chilling with them for a moment, there was something about them I found intriguing or attractive. You never know who you're gonna get along with or who you're gonna like. Sometimes, you just have to lay back and let yourself out.
Look, most people ain't shit. That's a given. But there are people out there who can be worth your time. Most importantly though, you have to know how to read and feel people out. Once you can do that, you'll be able to differentiate between thr people you can chill with and the people who ain't shit. You just have to be willing to put yourself out there. That's all it takes.
