Christian, take this for your comfort, that there is no change in Jesus Christ’s love to those who rest in him. Yesterday you were on Tabor’s top, and you said, “He loves me:” today you are in the valley of humiliation, but he loves you still the same.
Charles Spurgeon (via crosspreacher)
So all praise to the name of the Savior who reigns. He’s taken our blame Embraced all our shame He’s raised from the grave so His fame we proclaim. Salvation by grace through faith in His name!

Nothing teaches us about the preciousness of the Creator as much as when we learn the emptiness of everything else.

1 “Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; 2 who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation. (Isaiah 30:1-3 ESV)

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV
What Newton said was “because there is a law of gravity, I can write a book extolling the genius of God who did it that way.” Because Newton did not make the mistake of confusing a scientific explanation with a personal agency explanation. Let me explain that much more simply. Why is the kettle boiling? Well because the Bunsen burner is alight and the flame has reached a certain temperature and that is going through the copper base of the kettle and it’s agitating the molecules of water and they are going faster and faster, and some of them are starting to spit up and the kettle is beginning to boil. That’s why it’s boiling… No it isn’t. It’s boiling because I want a cup of tea. Now we all understand that. This is so simple. I find that school kids often can understand it much better than professors because they see the difference in the nature of the explanation. The ‘because I want a cup of tea' explanation is not in conflict. It doesn't compete with the explanation with the terms of science. It compliments that explanation. You need both to explain the thing complete. Why cannot people see that when it comes to the universe? See, Richard Dawkins has done a lot of damage by saying God is the same kind of explanation as science; and therefore in direct competition. That’s like saying “Henry Ford is in competition with the law of internal combustion with the explanation of the motor car” That’s just sheer, childish nonsense. In order to explain the motor car, you need both don’t you? Again, they don’t compete, they don’t conflict, they compliment.

And where is your body now? Didn't you know Nature draws to an end?

We see the greatest expression of God’s love extended in the moment when those who were once enemies instead became God’s friends.
