Imagine explaining to someone that your favorite anime is about a duck that can turn into a schoolgirl fursona to a magical ballerina alter ego that has a crush on an ageless emotionless prince with no pants who is bodyguarded by a wannabe edge lord who has fanfiction trauma meanwhile the prince dates a girl that is half-bird and disassociates 1/3 of the show. The main antagonist are emotions, the narrator, killer book club society, and a giant fucking bird. Sometimes wooden people show up and make you cry. Happy cry? Sad cry? Depends on if it’s the ducks surrogate mom figure that’s like “Look at this cool rock I found” or the little drummer girl that pants people in public. Did I mention the cast goes to ballet school with no core curriculums and their teacher is a cat that canonically gets no bitches?
