Punch the monkey & his plushie animation

Of course I saw this absolute adorability and felt inspired to animate something! The movement was inspired by...a TXT TikTok yes...

As a very big plushie fan myself, Punch reminded me of how helpful they can be. I hope he found true comfort in his plushie after being outcasted by bully monkeys :< (*Geto Suguru voice* filthy monkeys who can't even use jujutsu)

That being said, this is the first time I'm animating something that is /not/ rotoscoped, so even though it looks fairly simple, it did take me some time. More than time, I felt like it was a challenge to actually /do/ something and not just stay crippled by my fear of "not being able to do something good".

Yuzuru Hanyu practice

Men's short program at figure skating Olympics 2026 is on, with the last group taking the ice.

Not to be dramatic, but the Olympics used to have Yuzuru Hanyu 😞 Miss him like crazy to see him compete. Fuck ISU forever.

Sakuatsu 10 Dance

Atsumu is definitely a Latin dancer if I ever had to guess. And Kiyoomi, prime, proper Kiyoomi just fits the Standard dances. They can't stand each other, but the power of dance (and bodyrolls and yearning) makes them fall in love. Brilliant plot!!

112 frames. 20 days ago, I challenged myself to rotoscope some scenes from the 10 Dance trailer and make it an AtsumuxKiyoomi from Haikyuu animation. I told myself it has to be done before the movie comes out, so I had 28 days. I am very happy to push through with it. It's my first big animation project and I really am beyond thrilled to have done it. It's not perfect, but it's made by me and it means everything.

A little teaser for an idea that has POSESSED me, namely I wanted to SakuAtsu the 10 Dance trailer 💃

I will absolutely be sat on December 18th to see the dancing gays to their thing. In the meantime, I'll do my best so fellow SakuAtsu brainrotters can enjoy a bit of them being dancers.

If you see mistakes is because they are there, it's my first longer animation project and it's a continuous learning curve. I am mostly having fun!

this was really a self indulgent project because i am stuck thinking about an AU. i tried different coloring...ways, i can't really name them techniques. monochrome pencil must be my favorite way of drawing i'm afraid, it just looks really cool
