I have this headcanon that Edgeworth seems stoic but his eyes are actually very expressive, and Phoenix (post-disbarment) seems expressive but his emotions never quite reach his eyes

the funniest thing about AA4 taking place during 2026 is that they had tried to design Phoenix looking like a sleazy bum with a drinking problem, and by absolute sheer coincidence, the beanie + hoodie + baggy sweats look is INCREDIBLY TRENDY this year. Every other man at my uni has been dressed like this lately. Phoenix is not dressed like he's at rock bottom, he's dressed fashionably. he's TRENDY. for all we know he could be wearing entirely designer

Kelby is so fun to write omg why do we hardly write him. That man is so unbothered by things that should absolutely be bothering him. How many injuries did he canonically suffer?? I. Forget.

Like on one hand, you could say that — oh he's a lifeguard at a beach. Maybe he's seen some Things that signalled his brain to turn off and so the reason he's perceived as "boring" is because we don't get much personal commentary from him since he speaks so objectively. Even when he tells you abt his skiing accident and that- "Trees are hard." — that's that. He doesn't give much more indication as to how he felt about crashing into a whole tree. Because his brain learned to put emotional processing waaay at the back of the line so it doesn't get in the way of being pragmatic.

And then on the other hand, you can just say Kelby's a silly guy who is simply Unbothered :')

Even though Phoenix started out as a Kelby doppelganger, I think he had become his own person, which I guess is cool but

he's definitely projecting my own loneliness and believing nobody will stay and choose him(as friends or partners)

his relationship with Derek Kingsfield (Jock Studio AU) is just full of longing

like he thinks Derek deserve someone better than him

even if he chose Phoenix despite everything

so in his route for the inspired game, I think Phoenix is dealing with the belief that everyone will leave him behind and that he hurts everyone with his fire

So he'd rather be alone but also starved for connection

I love and hate this firebird/silly

Derek McCrae | 🐎

Derek exist because of Umamusume like this game be making us be interested in the topic of horse racing

So he's the jockey of a fierce stallion he named Ares because why not

I described Derek as scrawny in my notes

I think his route is about overcoming grief

the transformation is honestly kinda painful, like cmon, my man is already struggling, why did he had to turn into a horse

so if you didn't know, I plan on making a BB fancomic (or at least making drawings around the concept) centering around Kelby's swim side

So Kelby's fanon grandfather was a former swimmer and swim coach

And he founded the Jenkins Swim Team consisted of Kelby, Neville and two characters I'm still developing

Neville was inspired by Sousuke Yamazaki from Free (whale shark motif and stuffs)

he swims backstroke while Kelby swims free

I would describe Neville as someone who's strategic, basically the logical one

Like he takes swimming seriously and looks up to Coach Tobias

So when the club disbanded, he understood why but it didn't change that he was upset that Tobias will no longer coach them

his rivalry with Kelby mostly stems from feeling a little jealous that Kelby is Tobias's grandson and thus he wanted the validation I guess?

his route of getting turned into a whale shark is gonna be something

he definitely a lot friendlier as an adult hahhaha

not much to say but I guess I can talk about his possible past

So Jamil and his older brother (Zubair) joined the local troupe in performing arts like dancing and stuffs

That's where he met Farhan and his sister which he had a crush on

But alas Zubair married her and Farhan becomes their brother in-law

Jamil is the complete opposite of proud like he's meek

like on stage he'd be laughing and boasting but off stage he's just embarrassed and flustered when people tease and genuinely compliments him

so he's basically a softie hahaha

I do think he struggles with self worth like if do people like him for real or do they merely tolerated him

Farhan | 🐊

So I think Farhan joined the troupe a little late than his sister so by the time he's in, he's already Jamil's brother-in-law

So the gossip that spread around the troupe was that they saw Farhan being friendly to his sister and they just you know, spread misinformation >:(

the members had no idea that Farhan was her brother, like the only who knew is Jamil and of course Zubair

but this just made Farhan disappointed that people would eat rumours without even investigating the truth

but he kinda doesn't care if people thinks he's shady or weird

aside from dancing and performing, he's also a fisherman and flutist

his transformation only reinforced that people see him as a monster, someone untrustworthy

his backstory used to be that he was a lady killer in village and for tainting one of the people there, he was chased away and exiled

WHICH was a RUMOUR. And yet Farhan doesn't try to deny or confirm it.

but when it comes to the MC, he grew very protective of them like he won't hesitate to throw hands and beat people up if anyone dared to harm them

I guess Farhan's the broody, dark humoured one of the trio

His story a mess ngl, and I don't really know if I like the direction it's going

Yeah...I made Kelby and Mariah's (Blush Blush Marshmallow) child. Just edited Kelby's sprite and Frankenstein the mouth haha. Also yes, Kelby's headcanon surname is Jenkins, and I'll stick with it until they give us a canon surname.

Callahan is based on the child that they had in c.ai because I have delusions and fantasies

He's a mother's boy

He plays baseball in high school

Biggest Ace fan

Speaks both English and Malay

But I decided to draw my BB OCs again. Was gonna do like a dynamic poses but I went with the headshot thing.

I would say that these design aren't final, so I might do a couple more variations and shared them here.

But yeah, I had the idea of turning them into the datable characters in my BB inspired project but I still haven't had the title that sticks with me. Currently it's called JFAND because I just took the first letters of their name lmao hahaha

I hope 2026 will be the year where I draw more, and actually start working on those daydream projects that rotted inside my head asjksjss

I haven't been making BB fanarts for a while, so I didn't really have anything to share, not even doodles because

I've been spending more time in the Jock Studio community and just drawing Phoenix and Derek hahahaha sorry (╥ ω ╥)

They just make me so happy and kinda helped me cope with my loneliness. Last college semester was rough, and I did things I regretted.

But.

I do want to get back to drawing the BB guys this year

so I think I'm just gonna share some of my projects/ideas that I haven't even started yet lol
