I Have A Surprise!
1 Corinthians 2:9â But, as it is written, âWhat no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love himâ
âI have a surprise for you!âÂ
That line somehow excites me with the anticipation that that surprise will be an extraordinary, jaw-dropping, out-of-this-world surprise.Â
I once watched a video of a man who had a dream car. It was his dream car for so long that his wife blindfolded him. So she brought him at their parking lot because she said âI have a surprise for you!â And as I was watching the viral video, the man walked up in front of the dream car blindfolded. When the wife took off his blindfold, the reaction was priceless. Speechless joy! So overjoyed that he asked, he was making sure, âis this a joke?â âWill we return this or something?â âNo way!â And you know that a person is truly surprised when the surprise leads him to sob. Tears of joy.
Now, God has a surprise for those who love Him and for those anticipating His return. Paul reminds us, âWhat no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.â
And this is something no human has seen, nor human ear has heard. This is a surprise not of this world. And I am sure, this is not just jaw-dropping, nor can be described as extraordinary. This is Godâs kind of surprise and I believe itâs more than just jaw-dropping or more than just tears of joy. This is a surprise no one can replicate in this fallen world. Are you getting excited? Because while reading this again and again Iâm realizing that Iâll be missing out on this âoutstanding, awesome, amazing thingâ if I donât prepare for it.
Thatâs why my question is, "Do you love Him?â
Not really a weird question right? Weâre talking of a surprise, and the surprise is for whom? âFor those who love him.â
How much do you love Him? I just want to end this blog with that question because many of us really want that surprise, but in the we need to think if we truly love Him.
(Will see you at the next blog. Iâll continue to talk about how do we show our love for God. But if you already want to know, I highly suggest reading the Bible and you can start reading the Book of John.)
God bless!
