okay so like i’ve thought about it for a while with the whole shawn and camila thing and at first my heart felt like it was ripped in fucking half and all this dramatic shit but i honestly can’t help it like it hurt. but like tbh it’s not like i can actually love someone i don’t know but i do really only use his face and name for fictional and imaginary purposes which is just like being a fan. but tbh camila is like a great girl and as much as it hurts to see your celeb crush with someone...

it’s not a person you know or have every talked to so like… it just doesn’t completely add up. tbh i went through this entire thing with tom holland last year and looking back it was dumb but normal teen fangirl stuff. and camila is awesome tbh my mind knows that they fit together and it ships them because they obviously make each other happy and that’s a normal life but the heart is wishing it’s me. but my mind is working to set imaginary shawn and real shawn apart. it’s just the logic of it ]

Hey love, so I totally understand and it’s okay. I think everyone probably will or may feel a little pang in this or any situation like this but, it’s important to not let it get to you. If you need to take a break then do it, becuase these things aren’t worth getting worked up over. He ain’t gonna care so neither should you lol.

And I understand about that last part. I think that a lot of people have this idealized version of Shawn. They have this image in our minds of who he is or what he’s like or how he talks or whatever, but we really don’t know Shawn. We’re just fans, we’re not his friends or family. We need to realize that he is his own person and there is this sort of line and wall between us and even though he likes to push that wall and kind of have this connection with the fans, there is still that wall. And even though we have this idealized version of who he is he is still a person at the end of the day who has his own flaws his own problems his own life, and we need to kind of disconnect that from ourselves because it’s unhealthy to focus on. There are plenty of guys out there like Shawn, he at the end of the day isn’t the only one good guy. And even though people like to joke about how there’s no good man in the world and blah blah blah, there are good men in the world there are attractive great man in this world, Shawn isn’t the only one and he isn’t perfect. I truly think that because of how connected social media makes us feel, We were going to let it control ourselves and how we view and how we feel and that’s not healthy and it’s not good. No one should be distraught over a celebrity his life, no one should be because it doesn’t affect us at all literally at all. I totally know how it feels to get a little sad, but now I’m just too tired to care about it and I just wanna move on from it and except the fact that this is the situation and if he is happy and this is what he wants then so be it. I’m still gonna be a fan of him, he isn’t going to go away or no longer be Shawn Mendes or I’m never going to get photos with fans are just by himself, he still going to exist as his own person Camilla is just an ad on and honestly I don’t need to focus on that. I think it’s important for people who feel really distraught over it to take a step back and to relax and take a breather, because you all are more important than some boy.
