i'm sooo excited to be here ! decided to keep this sweet & simple <3 i'll ramble a bit under the cut , but i'm here to bring the soloist ; sagong yunha / KIDCODE !

𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞 : sagong yunha is an entirely brand new muse of mines , one that i've slowly grown to adore as i've developed bits & pieces of him . he is not completely fleshed out , so some things is up to being altered , omitted , or added on to as i figure him out along the way . the best way to describe sagong yunha ? neutral chaos clothed in flesh . it's brewing and bubbling under a swoon worthy smile , shows up in the way he's so willing to break bones as he songwrites because the need to be something more than his father's son will always overshadow him , shows up in the way he wants his face plastered over this magazine cover and that drama so that the world knows who he is , and in the way that he laughs with his loved ones , sweet melodic laughter between one another that yunha remembers and stores in the deepest parts of his heart . where it will always remain , where he'll have a part of them forever . he walks like a god but is a double edged sword . walking the thin and tight line of balance because he's always on the verge of being completely void of everything or spilling every emotion known to humanity outwards , overthinks a lot because of this . oozes nonchalance and despite it all , is really laidback and chill . can't , outright , says how he feels ( at least , about love . he feels anger like a fire ) but strings together the softest and most precious comparisons and small words in hopes the other knows he'd carry planets for them . sarcasm and profanity hang in the back of his mouth , showing up after every sentence or two . prefers company , even if for one night , but still needs his alone time . when he needs to be alone , he cuts himself off from the world ( no goodbye texts to his friends , the phone turned off , disappearing off into the streets ) . enjoys the city but misses summers in the countryside , it'll always feel like home . a little bit of this and a whole lot of that .

his palm easily slips against jiah's, a small shake confirming the bet and the price the other would pay. " easy! you don't have that much stuff, " he blinks, bright eyed. " right? " if anything, yunha would end up spending more time with jiah at her place. both of their schedules had created a significant gap between their usual time going out and about, diluting their days together down to a handful of times in a month compared to every so week. the snow beckons yunha to fall flat in it, and a part of him already accepts the fact that'll happen once or twice during his time here. yunha playfully crinkles his nose upwards, " can we make snow angels after? " it had been a long time since the ink haired boy plopped down in some snow, letting the cold practically seep in through his back. the crowd disperses, and the boy follows closely next to jiah. yunha turns his neck over, " what made you decide to come here and not the other places? "

he's going to take that as a no. " yeah, didn't you know drinking water makes you more drunk when you drink, silly? that glass of soju wasn't going to do you any good, " the boy lies through his teeth as he pushes the glass further away, not trying to risk it getting trapped in aera's clutches again. his head instinctively nods along to each syllable uttered from her lips, " yoo ae-ra. glad we got that out of the way. " he mimics, a grin staining his features momentarily. the wishbone artist does a quick spin on his heel, stretching his neck out as far as he could to see if any staff or other artists were making their way down the hallway. for the most part, this backstage end was dead. " oh, thanks. you're really good on that show too — " he tries to catch up with the next string of words coming from her mouth, " it was actually a friend of mine who — " and the black haired boy realizes there was no real point in trying to respond to the sentence that grew longer and longer by the second. he offers a quick 'uh-huh' and a little nod to show he was still engaged, nonetheless. " yes, for you to drink some water. " time was ticking away, and yunha was bound to leave soon. his manager could pop up any second. " this thing is gonna end in a few hours, aera. i hate to be the one to break it to you, " sarcasm licks his lips. " but you're drunk. like, really, really drunk! so you have to drink some water. alright? " it felt like talking to a baby. " how did you end up here, by the way? " this section was definitely an odd way from the entrance of the stage, a place one would end up if they were wandering about. " where's the dressing room for your group? i'll help you walk there. can you walk? " the night wasn't ending as quick as yunha would have liked.

the first question rings throughout his skull for a bit, bouncing off one side of the cranium to the other. what was yunha's sound? his current tracklist was a mix of everything he thinks he's about, things that define him. some concentrated and leaning towards a more rap-heavy sound, one that he finds the most comfort in. others are more gentler, slow but filled with a raw somber. the boy leans into the chair a bit, settling into his environment as he continued to think. " i think my sound is the grayground. " he starts, a bit cautiously as he lets the melody of the chorus enter one ear. " you know that really specific space of time when your teenage years come to an end, and your twenties start? " yunha continues. " it's so specific, but i think my sound encompasses all the things that happen during that period of time. typical stuff, you know, " he crosses his legs. " heartbreak, growing up, hopeful love . . it's mundane until it's felt during that times of our lives. everything feels so intense then, " the wishbone artist relaxes know. the raw truth had come out of his mouth and filled up the space of hyuk's studio. " everyone has some sort of plan or no plan at all. it's a freeing and terrifying phase we all go through, i think. "

ah, shit. he's late. he's so damn late. yunha feels his skin is on fire, feet nearly bumping into staff as he tries to zip his way through the wishbone building and onto the other side. a company producer that accepted yunha's request for assistance was now on his twentieth minute of waiting for the artist. wind claws passed his face as he turns a corner, body nearly colliding with another figure. yunha stops himself in time, one hand clutching the corner of the wall as comes to an abrupt pause. " oh, sorry! sorry, i didn't see you — i have to — " he can't finish his sentence, not when his gaze adjusts and lands on juan. the boy can no longer tell if his flesh feeling flushed was because of his frantic speed or due to locking eyes with the dandelion member. " shit, juan. i mean hi juan. not that — i didn't mean, shit, it's juan! like that i'm upset i bumped into you in particular, i mean — " shut up yunha. his tongue recoils and he feels his throat dry. this was the most embarrassing thing he's had to actively go through in his twenty two years of existence. under the dim light of the restaurant, yunha is safely tucked away in a corner with taejoon beside him. a safe haven, a sanctuary on earth, where time seemed to stop just for the both of them to be able to catch a breath in their hectic lifestyles. the ink haired artist uses his fork to stab at a ripened berry, watching the flesh of the fruit burst and the juice run. " i feel like i haven't seen you in forever, " yunha mutters quietly. it had only been a little over three weeks, but that was far too long for the younger boy. " how've you been? he tries to ignore it. really, he tries. yunha does his best to tear his muddy eyes from the stranger's silhouette, but as he inches closer, it's a face he recognizes. barely, actually. he remembers bits and pieces of yoo aera's kakaotalk profile picture and matches it with the very drunk girl standing a few feet away from him at this point. yunha sighs, feeling the veins in his forehead pulse slightly. so this was the trainee he was referred to from a friend, one that claimed her voice was damn near divine and yunha just had to get in touch with her to do some demo work. a part of him felt slightly regretful at the choice now. " hey. " he starts, keeping his pupils almost fixated on her at this point. she had been starting to sway slightly, causing the soloist to grow a little wary. the boy feels like the industry is more breathable to him, a solo artist with no ties to a group name, members, or the intense pressures of a company's reputation. and he prefers it that way, feeling much more content when he's the sole driving force behind his craft. but idols, yunha knew, were almost always scrutinized. he felt a slight sense of responsibility for one whose career was just starting to begin, and his tall frame quickly kept her away from public view. " you seem a little .. " fucked up. instead, his voice trails away and stops. " have you had any water, like at all? " yunha inquires, gently easing the glass cup out of her fingers and on the table next to them. " were you supposed to stay here until the countdown is over? or are you leaving right now? "

unlike the snow that was scattered around them, yunha's mind refused to be as unblemished as the blinding white at the ski resort. being plucked out while he was in the middle of work was an unwelcome gift from his company, but one that was much needed. long nights in the studio left his neck painfully stiff and a dull ache ran throughout his body. in fact, sagong yunha was on the verge of utter burnout. jiah had arrived to him as some sort of guardian angel, and the trip to the resort was set in stone once they cashed out their vouchers. the cold kissed yunha's nose, bruising it a shade of delicate pinks. he sniffles, " jiah, " his tone is a mixture of a whine and a matter of a fact. it was cold, too cold, and it didn't matter to him that he was born in the winter or not. " if everyone is saying it's hard, there has to be some truth to it, yeah? " the boy's timbre was full of tease, as he playfully rolls his eyes at the fellow artist. " i'm sure your balance is totally out of this world though, let's see it. " he nods towards her figure, deciding he's going to take up jiah on her offer. a grin coats his features, dimples sinking in as he breaks into a laugh. this should be fun. " alright, let's make a bet on it, future olympian. taking care of the dinner tab for a week? " a brow raises at his friend.

sagong yunha sighs, feeling his dimples dig into both cheeks as he sucked in air between his teeth. he's all for end of the year festivities, blind bliss in order to pretend the next year wouldn't be as sufferable as the last, but a tiredness rattles his bones and nothing more could satisfy the artist than planting his face into a pillow. yunha stares at his watch, it was barely pushing ten! what was taking his manager so long? another sigh escapes his lips. prepping for the completion of his first album left yunha with little energy and no tolerance of bullshit, making him more on edge than he already was whenever he was in the process of making music. something about an incomplete song didn't sit right with him, and he felt an itch to return back to the studio as soon as the countdown was over. yunha decides quickly he has no desire to wait any longer, and twists around to head off and find another way back home. what he doesn't expect is someone else, on the other end of the deserted hall, very and clearly downing the drinks offered. yunha could smell the soju from across the room and soon saw one drink turn into three.

with the curtain covered window and dim lights, yunha's studio was slowly but surely transforming into his own personal cave. a false sense of comfort lulls over him as various sounds buzz through his right ear and out through the left, potential works of art that were in a fierce competition to be in his latest release. yunha became too serious during his phases of creative brainstorming, a sudden and constant urge to be on his lonesome instead of burdening company. plain and simple, he just wasn't fun to be around. with the exception of a few, he rarely stepped out of the room, let alone let people stop by. one of them barges in through the wooden frame, and yunha crinkles his nose upwards at the sight of the girl group member. " which one? " the words came out of habit, most nights in the company of one or another. the ink haired artist eyes the box of food for a while, glancing back up to his friend. he gained vague insight as to who yoojin was referring towards, " it's probably because one of them confessed to me two days after. " yunha places the bento on the edge of his table, and instead tugs an empty chair next to his. yunha slides back into his seat comfortably, and pats the other one for yoojin. " maybe, " head turns to face her as he drags the single word out. " i'm working on a few to release next. want to listen to one? "
