hello hello! i’m here to bring you one of the first soloists that wishbone had and an absolutely trash of a person, but fantastically charismatic soloist, music producer, lyricist, rapper and vocal, jeong jaehyuk. he’s a jack of all trades, master of none (save for his production of music, rapping and singing) with a bit of an anger streak and anger issues that he’s been learning over the years to handle. darkly charismatic and with a open history due to a big scandal that he had few months into being introduced when he was in yuseong as one of the trainees to debut, hyuk is a performer with a 150% effort and attitude, living like he can burn out in a single day and not live to see the next sunrise tomorrow. incorrigible, possessive and with a slightly petty streak, he’s not one to pull his punches with anyone that offends him, though he’s been taming himself under wishbone’s watchful eye until more recently. call him a cesspool of moral filth or a festering pool of toxicity, he’s as deeply insecured behind his antagonistic nature, and has worked ten times as hard to get himself to where he kinda is in right now.
both he and wishbone has played into the image of the bad boy of the group for him, especially after his first scandal back before he joined wishbone, and he plans to make the most of it, especially with the reins now loosened on his end. he’s spent quite the time being a tamed tiger, and isn’t going to hesitate upon wreaking havoc once he’s been let loosened.
do hit the like button if you’d like to plot with him, and i’ll pop into your discords / dms! hyuk’s a muse that i prefer brainstorming for instead of having plots ahead of time, so feel free to go ahead and throw anything in his direction when we discuss! everythingfrom his background to his career can be found all consolidated in his profile!

about stuff : (tw: abandonment, anger issues, violence)
he says he doesn’t have parents, which is partially true, considering he spent almost all of his life in the foster care system, until he aged out at 18. being bounced around from foster house to foster house in the adoption system didn’t do well for his own personality and view about himself, and he came away with a really bad anger streak and violent tendencies, especially when someone tries to poke him / agitates him.
if he wasn’t an idol, hyuk would have gone on to do some petty crimes, because prior to the age of 13 (when he was casted for his face), he was sliding towards the dark side of the law, running from school, getting into street fights, doing little things that never set a juvenile record, but still wasn’t all that clean either.
he was casted one day when running away from school when he was 13 (his results needless to say were trash), and was offered a contract because of his face. his company was looking for someone with similar vibes to his own, and was willing to train him as long as he remained committed to the trainee path. he took up the offer with the insistence of his then foster mother--the orphanage’s owner, who honestly couldn’t wait to get rid of him, due to all the trouble he made.
so jaehyuk became a yuseong trainee just through a scrape of luck--his rapping skills were pretty okay, and so were his vocals, and they felt as though they could polish him more if he did became a trainee, and so he started 3 years of his trainee life in yuseong. being a trainee actually directed a lot of his excess energy from his angered self into his personal commitment to master a single thing--and he eventually became known amongst trainees as one of the most competitive, even if he wasn’t the best at what he did.
he was like a blackhole, constantly desperate to learn, and when he learned something, he was equally as desperate to master it, just doing things in the way that he knew how to do--and that was to knock on it until he either punched a hole through and understood it, or the door opened on itself for him. rapping became that particular outlet that he felt he moderately achieved some success with, but it wasn’t enough.
hungry for more he turned his eyes to producing, composing, even took acting classes and variety classes, just to fill that gaping hole of inadequacy that he felt made him out to be just not enough. while he knows he’s not the best, he’s proud of his unique vision for performance, and is pretty insistent about his artistic vision, which he gradually found a talent for.
but well. its not enough. he wanted--no he needed more.
and so when he turned 16, yuseong finally felt he was ready, esp since he was known to be one of the most rounded and talented trainees in yuseong back then, due to the vocal and rapping skills he gained through hard work.
funny thing is: just after he was slated to debut together with crescent, he lands himself in hot water for a violence scandal, having punched a male bystander in anger. yuseong was chagrined enough to put him on notice and probation for a while, and desperate to claim back a bit of a credibility, a press conference was held for him to apologise publically.
hyuk abandoned his pride (for various personal reasons as well) that day and went on his hands and knees in front of the reporters, apologising for his scandal and promising to be a better person. unfortunately, that sealed quite a lot of opportunities for him from his company.
due to his scandal, much of his history and background became publically disclosed to the public--thus rendering it open knowledge that hyuk was an orphan (abandoned by his mother), and from the foster care system, with a slight history of not going well in school etc.
however this wasn’t enough, even though hyuk laid very low for the longest period of time, and he was kicked from yuseong one bright fine day, with nothing but the clothes on his back, his old guitar and second handed music production home studio.
he would spend the next 6 years polishing up his instrumental skills, busking around EVERYWHERE and anywhere that wanted him, and putting up his self produced music on his soundcloud, under the name jae.de.
eventually his infamy lessened, and instead more people started to appreciate his vocals and his rapping (the former which he performed the most live when he busked, and the latter, recorded at the goshiwon he stayed in for 3 years.)
he has a small loyal following on his soundcloud for his music : musical references ( here , here and here .
when he was busking late in 2017, he was scouted once more by wishbone, and the first thing he told them was that he wanted maximum creative freedom for ALL of his work, which they granted him, in exchange for him going to constant therapy for his anger issues.
he was on the pre-debut rapping single DDING, debuting in 2018 soon after it was released, this was the first official song which he co-produced, and wrote the lyrics for. the song contained satirical lyrics towards the the idol industry, and it marked the start of his lyrics being very direct, crude and yet catchy.
Daechwita came next. he enjoyed the concept for that the most, before falling back to remind everyone once again that he was damn capable of singing with D (Half Moon).
he’s willing to teach people how to play instruments, but he’s not particularly...patient. he knows how to play the piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and electric guitar.
he has a 3 month old puppy that he named nameless because he couldn’t decide a name.
he always dyes his hair / bleaches it so it’s a wonder how his scalp has survived all these years.
VOCAL CLAIMS / SIMILARITIES : DEAN, PENOMECO, DPR LIVE, kim taehyung (v) [slight similarity in the low vocal tones & jazzy vibes], Gaho, Kwon Jiyong [ note that his vocal style varies a lot since he learned a lot of different methods of singing from almost everywhere, rather than your usual trainee places. his foundation still lies in a very idol-like style of singing, but over the 9 years, the stuff he’s learned through his 6 years of learning alone has eclipsed his idol foundation]
his image is not particularly clean and bright, instead he’s known for the nitty gritty stuff, of which most of his fans have taken to his bad boy image, liking to imagine him to a particular trope because of his apparently rather handsome face.
some plot ideas:
he’s a lone wolf by nature, and so he has little (only 2) friends around him, unless you’re mostly from yuseong and have trained with him for a set amount and a good period of time. these are the people that know him the best, who sees past that angry battered child inside of him to the blackhole that’s yearning for approval and desperate to make himself feel whole again. they’ve seen his self destructive tendencies, watched him careen over the edge and violently fall, do things that he knows clearly isn’t good for him and then suffer the repercussions all over again.
exes, flings, fwbs : god, he has so many. none of them are consistent, and none of them last between a month to two months really. he simply treats them as if there’s no option of anything further beyond just the wrestle of bodies in bedsheets, and the fierce scratch of his nails against their backs. more often than not, its not him that gets hurt, because he has the tendency to leave before anything further happens. has he fallen for any of them before? probably not. only one, really. don’t get your hopes up, he tells them with a cigarette dangling from his lips and puffs of smoke in the air. because he’s just nothing but the biggest jerk when it comes to feelings and relationships.
the bad influence: he does a lot of vices, from smoking to drinking, to just..a lot of things that most people won’t attempt to try, chasing after that fleeting moment of a thrill and desire. perhaps you’re looking for a kindred spirit who likes the thrill of danger as you do, or you’d like him to spoil you for the worse things in life, open a door to destroy and ruin you completely just like he feels that he’s done to himself.
rivals: ...yeah i don’t think i need to say more, because he’s someone that rises up to the challenge so fully and completely its almost as if he’s itching to have a fight or a challenge. perhaps he’s punched you before, or you differ in your philosophies and values, one way or another, it’s hyuk’s fault that he’s offended you, and you’re both just going to go down because of it.
fans: you were a fan of him before that, when he faded back into obscurity after his scandal. perhaps you were one of the loyal few that listened to all of his soundcloud productions and heard of his busking sessions and gigs. the saddest thing is that he’s just very...bad with interactions :’) or else he wouldn’t be known infamously as the worst person to have on a variety show. he’s not known to do much fanservice for his fans--his fanservice is equated to his music, and perhaps you have a few things that you wanna teach him about it, even if he doesn’t want to learn.
instruments / music production: you’ve admired a bit of his skills in music production / instruments, and you want to learn a bit more on how to polish your skills / have a little help in that area...it’s just a matter of convincing him a little to help out because he wants something in exchange, and says that nothing in this world is free.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST CONGRATS ON MAKING IT TO THE END
sunhwa had an impeccable memory, so of course she knew who it was based off of the voice she heard. she looked up to look at the other just to be surprised by what she saw.
“heh. it’ll just be a vanilla latte.” the sight of jaehyuk in a barista’s uniform was the last thing she would’ve expected to see in her lifetime. something about it was humorous, but she couldn’t put a finger on what exactly. was it just the hat? or maybe it’s the fact that jaehyuk was also working as a barista under wishbone. either way, the scenario was funny. “the company forcing you to work on that personality of yours? or is there a reason you’re working the cashier at the cafeteria?” she didn’t care that much about why jaehyuk was working there, but she was still a curious person. if jaehyuk bothered to tell her or not, it wouldn’t change much.
“shut up.” hyuk instinctively grumbled, shooting sunhwa a look that was caught between a pout and a glare. “i have no personality issues.” he muttered gruffly, glaring at her once more for pointed emphasis as he slammed the glass onto the barista counter, pausing for a moment to double check if he had accidentally cracked the glass with the amount of strength he had used in his fervent....displeasure.
“ what do you mean forcing me to work. i volunteered to work at the cashier as a barista.” he conveniently excluded the point that this was simply a test to see if he was fitting to become a barista after a good month of learning how to make coffee from professionals at the cafeteria. “ and it’s not because of anything else. i just wanted to.” he wisely kept his mouth shut about how it was related to haeni and attempts to impress girls.
he had a feeling, sunhwa would indulge herself in mocking him if she knew that he was relentlessly pathetic in being able to chase the person he liked to no avail...for months on end.
granted they had their things to work out and work on.
he cursed as the coffee overflowed, burning his fingers in the process.
“ ah fuck!” as soon as the words left his mouth, he snapped his eyes back up to sunhwa, squinting them as though challenging her to something. “ that will be $13.15.” he held out his hand, still squinting as he pushed another cup under the coffee machine to aptly remake her coffee. “ and you saw and heard nothing. you had a great experience being served by me.” he sniffed for a second, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he peered a little more closely at sunhwa for the next minute or so. “ and aren’t you debuted already? shouldn’t you be hogging up some practice rooms and crying on the floor about some dance practice that worked your ass off since what, maybe 5 am this morning?” he spared another glance at the clock. “ never knew that new debutants had so much free time to stand in a long ass line to get some coffee.”
making a cup of coffee, had to be the source and the bane of hyuk’s entire current existence. if it wasn’t too bitter, it was too sweet, or--he didn’t draw the art on the coffee well enough.
why was being a barista so hard? he brooded moodily at the cup of coffee with a knitted stare, grumbling under his breath as he chucked the metal spoon into the cafeteria sink in wishing records, resisting the angered urge to chuck the precious cup against the wall.
of all the things he had tried to start with to seem a little more appealing to others as an act of making up for his sordidly lacking communication skills ( hey, no one wouldn’t like a free of coffee, yet alone a well made cup of coffee with extra art on top, right?) ever since..never.
perhaps it had been that one or two slaps that had landed upon his cheek from girls he talked to along the way...or maybe, he was just attempting a new way of getting into the book of the girl of his dreams, who was currently spending her time serving coffee whilst interning for others.
what a shitty life, he thought to himself, finally choosing to stare at the person on the opposite end of the counter. after weeks of learning how to make coffee from the cafeteria barista, he had been tasked as the final part of his test on being a meagerly good barista to serve and make coffee to those who would patronise the wishing records cafeteria.
of course, that had it’s ups and downs. he grumbled, moodily poking the buttons on the cashier and adjusting the ridiculous animal hat that had been slapped on top of his head as a part of the uplifting barista spirit.
“ what?” he couldn’t stop the surly tone as he faced the person opposite him, squinting his eyes before begrudgingly, welcoming them with a grumpily patronising tone. “....welcome to the cafeteria, may i know your order please?”
AN ( EMBARRASSING ) RANDOM ENCOUNTER.
→ JAKE PARK ⅋ JEONG JAEHYUK / THREAD 001.
He tries not to make himself into a dumb “fanboy” whenever he crosses paths with the people he listens to, especially since he knows how awkward it can be to engage with an overexcited supporter, but the instant he catches sight of Jaehyuk from across the way, he feels a magnetic pull towards him—one that he’s hoping he doesn’t regret following once making contact.
“Uh, hey—” Jake begins, confident in his approach, but clamming up now that he’s so close to him. “I don’t want to cause a huge scene, but I just want to say that I’m a big fan of your work.” He stammers, swallowing a little more of his nerves. “My name’s Jake, and if I’m mistaken and you’re not Hyuk, I’m sorry, but I—I just wanted you to know that I think you’re really awesome at what you do, and I always look forward to new stuff from you.” It’s honestly amazing to him just how handsome he is in person, which makes him all the more nervous, but he’s trying his best not to act like a total loon. Here’s hoping that he’s succeeding instead of failing.
one of the reasons that hyuk doesn’t like going out--isn’t just because of the fact that he’s introverted. more so of the fact that he’s not very socially adept in quite a good amount of particular ways. it was something to interact with people you knew, but for fans especially--there was this nervous energy that he got whenever someone expressed that they were fans of his work... because what if, he as he himself truly disappointed them in one form or another?
so when this tall, lanky young male nervously stammers in front of him about how much of a fan he personally is, and that his name is jake--it takes hyuk a little more than a few minutes to simply stare at him like a stunned boy on the street, the straw he had just punctured his cup with, having nearly jumped in surprise as soon as jake crept up on him and declared his allegiance to his music.
he jumped, enough that his sunglasses that had been up upon his head immediately came crashing down onto the bridge of his nose painfully.
almost immediately, hyuk bends over with a groan, clutching his nose as he rode through the brief pain, already mortified he had embarrassed himself in front of someone who had claimed that they were a fan.
“you’re a fan huh?” he stands up, attempting to beam at the other as he still clutched his nose, looking rather comical in the process. “ i mean i’m glad you liked my music.” quickly, he pushes his sunglasses back up to shield his eyes, sagging with dark circles due to a night with too much to drink, and alcohol having been some sort of mangled attempt at starting a new song.
it had worked. meagerly. the entire bottle of wine was finished into his stomach, and he had barely written what he considered as considerably good as per his usual musical standards, even if progress was progress.
“ you look familiar though--” he squints, trying to power through the slight pounding in his head as he takes another sip of his venti sized coffee, straw clasped between his teeth as he strains for a look at jake’s face one more time. “ i swear i’ve seen you somewhere.” he muttered under his breath. “ are you in some kind of acting gig, commercials or maybe an idol yourself?” he presses his sunglasses into his face, as though attempting to take a closer look through the tinted lenses. “you’ve got the face for it. and maybe the talent. all of the people selected to be actors and singers have got talent themselves after all.” he snorted into his drink. “a quick question or food for thought though--” a flash of inspiration rushed through his foggy mind as he visibly brightens. “ which of my songs do you like the most? or maybe mean the most to you? or i don’t know--which one sounds musically the best to you? i want to know you thoughts. since you’re a fan of mine.” he’s half tempted to invite jake for a drink despite his dismal condition and pounding headache, interesting growing by the minute as inspiration starts to manifest in his mind, turning like cogs to a wheel as he stared intently at the person who had claimed to be one of his greatest fans with an air of mystique and intrigue all of its own.
“i’m a little stuck, you see. people have been saying that i’m being stagnant.” he booed mentally at the thought. “like i’m some kind of it factor clinging onto the past and not moving on with the present.”
as he shifts the topic to nameless, hands reach out to the pup once more, this time tugging the ball of fluff away from him, raising the pup off her feet, “i’ll name you bitna, since you shine brighter than your ugly owner, hyuk.” coddling the pup into a gentle embrace, “oh, he’s so ugly isn’t he? yes, he is. he’s the ugliest.” attempting to suppress the laughter that threatens to cackle at the tail end of her words, “he can’t even ask me to come over like a normal person, he has to use you as an excuse.” feeling the fluff tickle at her cheeks, “what if i just take you home with me? then i won’t have to come here to visit you, bitna. i have his posters at home that you can shred up as an act of pay back for not naming you.” she catches a glimpse of him, lips moving agape into a burst of laughter, placing the puppy down finally.
"well then, man of action… why don’t you prepare us some food?”
“i--” he squints as she ridicules his looks, folding his arms with a scowl as he glares at the pup comfortably snug in her arms. “i’m handsome. not ugly.” he huffs jealously as the pup licks haeni all over the face, shuffling past haeni with a grumpy little huff as he made his way to the open kitchen, opening the fridge begrudgingly to grab a couple of haeni’s favourite snacks (needless to say, there was no reason why he had those in his fridge--it wasn’t as if he had gotten a habit of snacking on them back when they were still teens and hanging out like genuine fools with each other.
“snack on that first.”the snacks clatter into the bowl as the pushes the bowl towards her lightly upon the other side of the counter, grabbing a couple of ingredients alongside the packet of kimchi that had sat unopened for months in the sheer cold of his fridge.
“what do you want to eat? ramen?” he ignores the niggling thoughts that impede his mind--her skepticism and doubt dancing at the forefront of his thoughts as he recalls her disbelief when he spoke about how difficult it had been for him.
of course she didn’t understand. he was a fool to believe that she would.
afterall, she didn’t know anything about what happened to him after she ran off and disappeared, didn’t she? the bitter curve of his lips slips away into mild affection as he watches her play with the fluffy puppy, the creature unusually energetic, unlike it’s sanguine moments when he was around. nameless either found a way to hide under every chair and chew up his slippers, than be pet by his hands. in fact, it seemed to gravitate towards females--hyuk squints, watching as the puppy gives him a lazy look from lying upon haeni’s chest.
“you seem too comfortable there, don’t you?” he mildly threatens his pet with a stare, “she’s my pet though.” his hand raised to scratch his brow a little awkwardly, poorly attempting to mask his awkwardness with a wild guess. “if you’re planning on taking her away though, does that mean you want me to come over to your place? and holding.....bitna hostage is just another way to awkwardly ask me out?” he challenges, chin sticking out slightly as he avoids her eyes, bustling around with ramen packets and brushing over the ingredients he had brought out to fill the counter from his fridge, almost like a headless chicken floundering on the next step of the dish it wanted to cook.
“fuck.” he cursed under his breath as he attempted to masquerade some form of bravado, only to send a couple of ramen packets crashing down onto the floor. even after so many years of living alone--perhaps there was one thing that hyuk truly didn’t devote himself into learning how to do. and that was cooking. which needless to say, explained why he was embarrassing himself repeatedly on hook in front of his dog and haeni whilst trying to make out heads and tails of what to cook.
awkwardly, he peeks from above the counter, clutching the dropped ramen packets to his chest.
“stop laughing.” he grumbled, begrudgingly tearing open the packet and watching in slight horror as it sailed across the air from the sheer strength used to open it...to fall right back onto the floor completely.
eunbyul giggled, running her fingers through her soft pink hair. “i am very much a lady. i’m sure that everyone who knows me would agree with that. you must have a very skewed perception of reality if you only see me as a girl.” she grinned wide, enjoying the teasing that she was able to do to him. “i’m sure you’d look very dashing with straw coloured hair, hyukie. you just aren’t my type. sucks to be you, i suppose.” she let out a whimper in response to the flick, reaching up to dramatically rub at her forehead.
“oh no, that’s not it. i have total faith in my abilities. if anything, i’ll probably end up. carrying whichever sad group that they end up putting me in.” she popped the new mint in her mouth, sulking as she sucked on it. “wasn’t g.ni good enough? i thought that it was going to be my ticket to fame. people know me. they know that i’m good at what i do. i’m just not sure what more there is that i can do to get where i want to be without having to deal with anout stupid group for god knows how long.”
a light tsk passes through his teeth, and hyuk folds his arms with a languid frown upon his face.
“then how about not putting on a show for the camera. i know some people that don’t. even if their reputation isn’t as stellar.” technically, he was talking about himself. after all--who else was he going to raise to an example of “brutally honest, straightforward and no pretense at all” kind of image as a perfect example. “ i mean, take me for example. i don’t really pull my punches for the camera.” he grins right at her, completely oblivious that the only reason why he was invited onto variety shows...was the fact that he was so atrocious at interacting with people that it became saddeningly funny.
but of course, hyuk didn’t get that. why would he, when it was something that he didn’t see as incredibly important in the first place?
“ anyway--” his frown turns into a scowl, and then into a deep squint and disgruntled huff as eunbyul’s fingers brush against her beautiful soft pink hair, and the teasing towards his currently, limp noodle like hair. “ my hair is just fine, thank you very much.” he whines. “ i did all this myself, just so you know. not like you, who needed the help of professionals.” he pettishly hurrumphed at her. “ it’s not looking good and i know it, so stop rubbing it in.” he grumbled. “ i’ll have you know that it ended up like this after a series of severe, non-stop, limited amount of rescuing.” he curls a few strands of his straw coloured hair around his fingertips. “ haeni did it.” he grumpily scuffed his foot against the ground. “ and it’s not my fault that that half and half rockstar hair ended up looking something weird like this. and neither is it haeni’s.” he pauses, scrunching his nose and adding after a while. “ let’s just blame the fact that it was a difficult hairdo to do without, you know professional help.” he settles comfortably, smirking at eunbyul as she rubs her forehead exaggeratedly.
“ oh come on. you know that i never flicked you that hard. it had to hurt--probably only a teensy little bit.” he leaned forward interestedly as she mentioned g.ni. he had...heard of them. but again--when it came to recognising faces, that was something he wasn’t so good at. “ g.ni? you were in it?” surprise coloured his features as his brows raised. “now that’s something i didn’t know about, at least until now. you weren’t the leader weren’t you? i have faint recollections of the leader.” he crossed his arms once more, feeling his right eyelid jump at the thought. “ wasn’t very nice.”
the first question rings throughout his skull for a bit, bouncing off one side of the cranium to the other. what was yunha’s sound? his current tracklist was a mix of everything he thinks he’s about, things that define him. some concentrated and leaning towards a more rap-heavy sound, one that he finds the most comfort in. others are more gentler, slow but filled with a raw somber. the boy leans into the chair a bit, settling into his environment as he continued to think. " i think my sound is the grayground. " he starts, a bit cautiously as he lets the melody of the chorus enter one ear. " you know that really specific space of time when your teenage years come to an end, and your twenties start? " yunha continues. " it’s so specific, but i think my sound encompasses all the things that happen during that period of time. typical stuff, you know, " he crosses his legs. " heartbreak, growing up, hopeful love . . it’s mundane until it’s felt during that times of our lives. everything feels so intense then, " the wishbone artist relaxes know. the raw truth had come out of his mouth and filled up the space of hyuk’s studio. " everyone has some sort of plan or no plan at all. it’s a freeing and terrifying phase we all go through, i think. "
hyuk wonders as he listens to yunha if he was the only one with a different thought process as compared to many others--especially when it came to making things according to his own personal sound.
what made hyuk and his music was inspiration. perhaps some might criticise him as a little repetitive for continuing on his own personal agenda in a certain direction of inspiration, but he was one of the lucky few that remained unrestricted by the sense of how or when for when inspiration struck.
it was oddly clear to him in his own strange, special way..which was perhaps exactly why mild confusion and a vague attempt at understanding what exactly yunha desired to convey was happening, right at this very moment.
typical stuff. mundane stuff, he had said. except that hyuk’s growing pains and childhood had been anything but mundane.
“ explain.” he ordered almost instantly, a hand rubbing his chin. “ because not everyone has the exact same experience. for instance, i knew from a rather early age that i was aiming to be a producer.” he shrugged. “ being an idol or soloist was just a part of the trajectory.” fingers scratched lightly against his cheek as he pulled at his bottom lip, brows furrowed and knitted all the same.
“ maybe show me a few tunes.” a few clicks upon his keyboard and a fresh sheet showed up upon the next screen, lights blinking and almost ready to record. “ sometimes showing me what you mean is better that telling me what you mean. it’s what you..invoke in people. nostalgia? a sweet sound like spring for romance? that sort of thing. i think that all you need to do is be a little, just a little more specific. perhaps find some adjectives that connect with the idea that you have in mind. if it invokes those emotions in you and me when you play that tune, then we’ve got a hit, and we can proceed on to tune it further into the star track it’s meant to be.”
“ so-- what is the sound that you want to achieve?”
with every person that came to his production table to collaborate with him, this was a question that he threw in their faces from the very moment they stepped into his studio door. he exhaled lightly, scratching the back of his neck almost lazily as he combed a hand through his messy hair, dressed in that ugly looking sweater of his and a headband to hold back his floppy hair that smacked over his eyes.
he had made part of a song that sounded much like his own song--the only problem was that since he had pitched it to another as their song, they needed to work on how to make it yunha’s sound. or at the very least, that was what he insisted on doing, shooting off a manager through his manager to arrange a meeting between yunha and him.
“ do you have any particular thoughts?” his fingers click against the soundboard, crossing his legs in his seat as he squinted at the screen, letting the chorus of the song (unfettered, untuned and unpolished), echo it’s way through the sound system in the studio. “ you know what? since we don’t know much of each other, why don’t you start off with introducing yourself a little bit.” he mustered what he felt was a genial smile towards the younger boy, tongue between his teeth as he tugged a little nervously upon his bottom lip. “ i want to make this song in your sound, but i can’t do that if i’m not that familiar with you, or at least know the intent or motive behind your sound.”
at the ski resort, just high up upon the slop about to descend down the hill
...frankly? hyuk didn’t even know why he was here.
the premise that wishbone had given all of them was simple. have a happy amount of holidays, with the freebies that they gave them. it was a free holiday--what kind of person in the right might would never take advantage of that?
which he supposed was the exact reason for why he was standing here in the bitter cold, somehow dressed a little under for the weather in a pair of hot tight leggings, standing like a scarecrow in the distance and shaking like a fucking leaf in the breeze.
“ fuck.” he muttered under his breath, making sure to keep warm and muffle his ears and nose properly...save for the slender sight of his almost bare thighs, feet strapped right to the snowboard. “ this is a fucking bad idea.” he grumbled aloud, watching as someone stifled their laughter at the sight of father christmas upon his leggings, and the atrociously coloured mittens upon his hands.
“ remind me again, why am i doing this? if you’re gonna tell me that it’s just for laughs, i will chuck you over the edge and bury you in the snow.” he swear vengeance right in his gaze, flicking the scarf right over his shoulder with an elegant toss of his slightly long hair. “ either that or i bring you down with me. because either way sounds fun as hell, as long as i’m not doing this losing bet punishment all alone.”
a tiny little plot call for jaehyuk here for the christmas season! since he’s not really slated to attend any of the awards shows--hyuk will be only visiting the places that wishbone records have given freebies for their artists-- and those are the: teahouse , sauna, 1 day pass to a ski resort
some plot ideas of what they can do:
- someone needs to teach hyuk how to ski. or rather..stand on two feet, because slap on long skies onto his feet and suddenly he’s falling over like a bowling pin repeatedly.
- the art of learning how to be quiet, oblivious and well...appreciate tea . anyone that knows jaehyuk knows that he’s a bit of a drama queen, and that having to sit in one place to wait for a cup of tea is...a little demanding for him.
- tw : nudity well, it’s the sauna. maybe you’ll sit down with him as you both sweat it out in the sauna seats, contemplating on why your friendships are great, non-existent or well...why you’re enemies. he’s not a very enlightening person with regards to that, so expect some amount of boredom caught inbetween an intense amount of stupidity. at times, of course.
do hit me up too if you have any particular ideas that you’d like to thread with him! i’ll be putting up an open thread as well :D
hello hello! i’m here to bring you one of the first soloists that wishbone had and an absolutely trash of a person, but fantastically charismatic soloist, music producer, lyricist, rapper and vocal, jeong jaehyuk. he’s a jack of all trades, master of none (save for his production of music, rapping and singing) with a bit of an anger streak and anger issues that he’s been learning over the years to handle. darkly charismatic and with a open history due to a big scandal that he had few months into being introduced when he was in yuseong as one of the trainees to debut, hyuk is a performer with a 150% effort and attitude, living like he can burn out in a single day and not live to see the next sunrise tomorrow. incorrigible, possessive and with a slightly petty streak, he’s not one to pull his punches with anyone that offends him, though he’s been taming himself under wishbone’s watchful eye until more recently. call him a cesspool of moral filth or a festering pool of toxicity, he’s as deeply insecured behind his antagonistic nature, and has worked ten times as hard to get himself to where he kinda is in right now.
both he and wishbone has played into the image of the bad boy of the group for him, especially after his first scandal back before he joined wishbone, and he plans to make the most of it, especially with the reins now loosened on his end. he’s spent quite the time being a tamed tiger, and isn’t going to hesitate upon wreaking havoc once he’s been let loosened.
do hit the like button if you’d like to plot with him, and i’ll pop into your discords / dms! hyuk’s a muse that i prefer brainstorming for instead of having plots ahead of time, so feel free to go ahead and throw anything in his direction when we discuss! everythingfrom his background to his career can be found all consolidated in his profile!
