Yunho reacts to noticing his pregnant s/o’s baby bump for the first time
Fluff
Since the day you told Yunho that you are pregnant, he’s been the most supportive boyfriend ever. He always made sure that you were feeling okay and that you got anything you needed or wanted.
For the past couple of weeks unfortunately he’s been very busy and barely got any time to properly spend time with you. You knew that it wasn’t his fault and you were very grateful that he always tried his best to be with you even though being an idol wasn’t easy. His busy schedule was also the reason that he never noticed your growing baby bump. It might seem like a small detail but you knew that once he notices it, he is definitely going to comment on it.
Today, you decided to go shopping since your old clothes didn’t really fit you anymore after the quick growth of your baby bump and thankfully right when you were in one of the shops, your boyfriend called you.
“Hi, princess…”
“Hi, Yuyu…what’s up?”
“I called you because we got invited to a dinner with the other members tonight”
“That’s so nice Yuyu, I’m actually shopping for some new clothes right now and I can get a nice dress for tonight then…”
“I’m sure that whatever you wear tonight, it’s going to look amazing on you”
“Aw you’re making me blush and you’re not even here”
“Are you feeling okay anyways?”
“Yes, I’m feeling very good today”
“I’m glad princess, make sure to eat something nice for lunch okay?”
“Okay, I will…”
“After I’m finished with practice, I’ll come home and then we can go to the restaurant”
“Okay, I’ll see you later Yuyu”
“See you later princess, love you”
“Love you too…” you said and hung up the phone.
When you got back home, you started getting ready for the dinner. You were very excited to try the new dress that you bought and to put on some makeup for the first time in a while.
You were so happy that the dress fit you well and that it showed your baby bump perfectly. When you were finally ready, you sat on the couch and waited for Yunho to come home.
After a couple of minutes, you heard the door unlocking and after that your boyfriend entered the apartment.
“Hi princess, are you ready?” he asked and then looked at you.
When he saw you in the beautiful dress, he thought that you looked so gorgeous in it.
“Yes, I’m ready Yuyu…let’s go” you said as you started putting your shoes on.
“You look so pretty in that dress…”
“Aw thank you pup, I’m glad you like it” you answered and the two of you walked towards his car.
You were very confused how he still hasn’t noticed the baby bump but you knew that he will after a while.
The dinner went really well and all of you had a really good time, that’s why your boyfriend asked his manager to take a couple of photos of everyone at the end.
When both of you went back home, you walked into your bedroom to change into more comfortable clothes and your boyfriend followed you. He sat on your bed as he waited for you to change. While waiting, he decided to take a look at the photos his manager took.
They seemed pretty normal, until he noticed something that surprised him. Why hasn’t he noticed this until now? He asked himself as he finally noticed your baby bump clearly showing through your dress in the picture. After he observed the picture in detail, he then turned to look at you as you were putting on your t-shirt right next to him.
“Princess?”
“What’s up Yuyu?”
“Can you take your shirt off for a second?”
“What? Why?”
“I just need to check something…” he answered and that’s when you realised what that thing might be.
“Okay, sure” you said as you took your t-shirt off.
Yunho squatted down in front of you and his eyes focused on your belly.
“Wow…is that your baby bump?” he asked as he looked up at you with his puppy eyes.
“Yes, it is…” you answered and you watched as a cute smile formed on his face.
“It looks so cute, can I touch it?”
“Aw, of course pup” you agreed and he gently placed the palm of his hand on top of the baby bump.
All of a sudden his smile grew even more and he got really excited. He’s never been happier.
After this day, he definitely started interacting more with your baby and became very protective of the two of you. He would always have a hand on your belly when you’re anywhere in public and you found that extremely cute. You were so happy that he had finally noticed.

Dinner with Wooyoung was never quiet. He couldn’t sit still, couldn’t eat his own food in peace, and absolutely couldn’t resist whatever was on your plate. You’d barely taken two bites before his fork slid over like a thief in plain sight.
“Don’t even think about it,” you warned, without looking up.
He paused, fork halfway to your plate, eyes innocent. “Think about what?”
You finally glanced at him. He looked smug already. That little tilt of his head, the sparkle in his eyes — you knew he was about to do it anyway. You sighed and went back to eating, pretending not to care. Of course, three seconds later, he stole a piece.
“Wooyoung!”
He laughed, the sound bright and careless. “It’s better when it’s yours.”
“You always say that. You could literally just eat your own.”
He leaned back in his chair, still grinning. “But yours has effort and love in it. Mine just has... me.”
You scoffed but couldn’t hide your smile. He knew exactly how to get away with it every time — not by apologizing, but by making you laugh. He reached for another bite, and you tried to block him, but he caught your wrist midair, warm fingers closing around yours.
“I’ll share,” he said softly, holding your hand there. “But only if you stop glaring at me like that.”
You met his eyes, and for a second, the teasing faded. He smiled, smaller this time, thumb brushing the back of your hand before he let go. You took another bite, pretending nothing happened, though your pulse had picked up a little.
When the food was mostly gone, Wooyoung leaned in and whispered, “Last bite?”
“Don’t even—”
Too late, he grabbed it, popped it into his mouth, and laughed when you hit his arm. “You’re so dramatic,” he teased, leaning back to dodge another swat.
“Because you’re a menace.”
He smiled, the kind that softened his whole face. “But I’m your menace.”
You rolled your eyes but your laughter gave you away. When you stood to clear the table, he followed, sliding behind you to wrap his arms around your waist. His chin rested on your shoulder, and his breath was warm against your neck.
“You’re lucky you’re cute,” you murmured.
He smiled against your skin. “I know.” His hands stayed at your waist, fingers tracing lazy shapes through your shirt. You could feel the steady rhythm of his heartbeat pressed against your back.
Neither of you spoke for a while. The kitchen was quiet except for the soft hum of the fridge and the faint sound of rain outside. Wooyoung swayed you gently, still holding on like he had nowhere else to be.
“Next time, you’re cooking,” you said after a moment.
“Deal,” he said, eyes warm. “As long as I can still steal a bite.”
You shook your head, laughing softly. “You’re impossible.”
“Yeah,” he said, resting his forehead against yours. “But you’re stuck with me.”

[happy birthday to our baby bear<33 he's the cutest akdndjjmv]

It started as a harmless plan.
Just a small prank to test your acting skills and his patience. You wanted to see if you could pull it off — ignoring Jongho’s birthday all day without giving yourself away.
The morning felt heavier than usual. You woke up already smiling at the thought of surprising him later, but you had to keep your face straight when you texted him. Just a quick, casual “Good luck at practice today!” — nothing more. No hearts, no smiley faces, no happy birthday.
He replied with his usual “Thanks, have a good day too,” but you could already feel the shift through the screen. He was polite. Too polite. You could picture him raising an eyebrow at his phone, waiting for a follow-up that never came.
By lunchtime, your phone was silent. You imagined him scrolling through social media, seeing the flood of birthday posts from friends and fans. He was probably smiling at them, grateful — but somewhere in the back of his mind, he was wondering why his girlfriend hadn’t said a word.
You almost caved around 4 p.m. Your fingers hovered over the keyboard, ready to send “Just kidding!” — but you stopped yourself. You wanted to see his real reaction, his genuine surprise. You wanted the moment later to hit even harder.
When the clock hit eight, you gathered everything: the balloons, the candles, the little chocolate cake with his name on it, and the small box holding the bracelet he’d once admired in a shop window. You lit the candles just before knocking, your heart racing so fast it felt like he might hear it through the door.
When it opened, the sight that greeted you was priceless.
Jongho stood there in a loose black tee, hair still damp from the shower, eyes widening the second he saw the candles flickering on the cake. He didn’t say anything for a moment. His lips parted, but no words came out — just a tiny breath that sounded like disbelief.
You smiled, lifting the cake a little. “Surprise.”
He blinked once, then laughed — not his usual low chuckle, but a real laugh that broke out of him like he couldn’t hold it in anymore. His shoulders shook, and he covered his face with one hand.
“You’re unreal,” he said, voice cracking between laughter. “I actually thought you forgot.”
You laughed too, stepping inside before the wax could drip onto the frosting. “You really believed I’d forget your birthday? After all that hinting you did this week?”
“I tried not to,” he said, his voice softer now, eyes still watery from laughing too hard. “But it kind of hurt.”
You set the cake on the table and turned to him, arms already open. “Come here.”
He didn’t hesitate. His arms came around you instantly, strong and familiar, pulling you close until your cheek was pressed against his chest. You could feel his heartbeat — fast but steady — and the faint scent of his shampoo still clinging to his shirt.
“You’re terrible,” he mumbled into your hair. “But I love you so much it’s stupid.”
You smiled, your hands sliding around his waist, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt. “You love me because I’m terrible.”
He laughed quietly. “Maybe a little.”
You leaned back to look at him. His eyes were still glossy, lashes damp, but his smile was soft now — small and content. You brushed your thumb along his jaw, tracing the faint curve of his dimple.
“Happy birthday,” you said gently.
“Thank you,” he whispered back.
You kissed him then — just a quick, sweet press of lips, the kind that made your stomach flutter. When you pulled away, he didn’t let go. He rested his forehead against yours, hands still warm at your waist.
“You have no idea how long today felt,” he said quietly. “Everything felt off. Even the coffee tasted weird.”
You laughed under your breath. “Guess I balance your caffeine.”
He smiled, shaking his head. “You balance everything.”
Later, the two of you sat on the couch with the cake between you. He insisted on feeding you first, and you rolled your eyes but let him. He laughed every time you swatted at his hand, his dimples deepening with each grin. The icing smudged on your lip, and he leaned forward to wipe it away with his thumb.
After, when he finally opened your gift and saw the bracelet, he went quiet again. His thumb brushed over the metal, eyes glinting in the warm light.
“I wanted this,” he said softly. “I didn’t even tell you.”
“You didn’t have to,” you said. “I notice the way you look at things.”
He smiled, slipping it on. “I’m never taking it off.”
You laughed, tucking yourself closer until you were nearly sitting in his lap. He wrapped his arms around you again, resting his chin on your head. For a long while, you just sat like that — breathing each other in, your fingers tracing lazy patterns along his arm, his thumb drawing small circles against your thigh.
And later, when you both dozed off on the couch, the cake half-eaten, the candles melted into tiny puddles of wax, he was still holding you. His bracelet caught the dim light, glinting softly with each breath you took.
When you woke up the next morning, you were still there — tangled in the same blanket, your cheek against his chest. His hand was still around yours, his thumb resting over your knuckles like it belonged there.
He stirred first, his voice still rough with sleep. “Morning.”
You hummed. “Morning, birthday boy.”
He smiled, eyes still closed. “Still my birthday?”
“For another few hours,” you whispered. “But I can extend it if you want.”
He chuckled, pulling you a little closer. “Let’s make it a week.”

The water glistened in the late afternoon light, gold ripples catching on Yeosang’s shoulders as he turned to you with that calm, patient smile that always made your heart trip.
“Come on, it’s not that deep,” he said, voice soft and teasing as he extended his hand toward you from the pool.
You stood at the edge, clutching your towel like a shield. “You say that, but you’re tall. I’ll drown in there.”
Yeosang laughed, that quiet, breathy sound that made you want to both melt and shove him. He took a few steps closer, the water barely up to his chest, and held his hand out again.
“Sweetheart, you won’t drown. I’ve got you. You trust me, right?”
You pouted, eyes narrowing. “I trust you. I don’t trust the water.”
He raised an eyebrow, tilting his head with mock seriousness. “Then you can trust me more than the water. I’ll be your life jacket.”
You rolled your eyes but finally reached out, sliding your hand into his. His skin was cool from the water, and the contrast sent a shiver up your arm. He tugged gently, helping you step down until your toes brushed the water.
“Cold!” you squeaked.
“Shh, it’s fine,” he said, chuckling as he pulled you in a little deeper. The water came up past your thighs, then your waist, and that’s when panic hit — your hands immediately shot up to his shoulders.
“Yeosang!” you squealed, clinging to him like a koala.
He laughed again, trying to steady the both of you. “Hey, hey, you’re okay. Look at me.”
You didn’t. You buried your face into his neck instead, muttering, “You said it wasn’t deep!”
He rested a hand on your back, tracing small circles there. “It’s not. You’re safe, see?”
You could feel his heartbeat against your cheek, and the sound alone made your nerves settle a bit.
“Okay,” you mumbled, still holding on.
“Okay,” he repeated softly. “Now, can you try standing on your own for a second?”
You shook your head. “Nope. I live here now.”
He snorted, his chest vibrating under your hands. “That’s what we’re calling this? Fine. But you need to learn to swim.”
You tilted your head to glare at him, but he just grinned and leaned in to peck your forehead. “You’re adorable when you pout.”
“Flattery won’t make me let go.”
“Didn’t say I wanted you to,” he murmured.
For a while, you stayed like that, your arms looped around his neck, his hands resting lightly on your waist. The water lapped gently at both of you, and it didn’t feel so scary anymore.
“Let’s try this,” he said quietly after a bit. “Lean back. I’ll hold you up. Just trust me, okay?”
You hesitated, eyes flicking to the water. “You won’t let go?”
“I won’t. Promise.”
Slowly, with his hands steady under your back, you leaned back. The water cradled you, weightless and strange — but his touch didn’t waver. His gaze never left your face, smiling every time you peeked at him nervously.
“See? You’re floating.”
Your lips curved up in disbelief. “No way.”
“Yes way,” he said, grinning. “You’re doing it, Sweetheart.”
The pride in his voice made your chest flutter. You relaxed a little more until he gently lifted you upright again.
“Look at you,” he said softly, brushing a wet strand of hair from your cheek. “Told you you could do it.”
You blinked up at him, cheeks warm despite the cool water. “You’re really patient, you know that?”
“Only with you.”
You laughed, half-flustered. “That’s so cheesy.”
He smirked. “You love cheesy.”
You splashed him lightly in retaliation, and he gasped dramatically before splashing you back. Soon you were both laughing, dodging each other’s playful attacks until he caught you again, pulling you close against him.
“Truce,” he whispered against your temple.
You nodded, still giggling, arms slipping around his neck again, partly from affection, partly because you didn’t fully trust your balance.
“See?” he murmured, eyes softening. “You’re not scared anymore.”
You pressed your forehead against his jaw. “That’s because you’re here.”
For a second, everything else disappeared — the sound of the water, the fading sun, the laughter — it all blurred into the way he looked at you right then.
He leaned down, his lips brushing yours once, twice, before deepening the kiss just slightly. When he finally pulled back, he smiled that shy, dimpled smile that still made your heart flutter like it did the first time.
“You’re a fast learner,” he whispered.
You laughed softly, playing with the ends of his wet hair. “Guess I just needed the right teacher.”

It was past midnight when Seonghwa’s footsteps padded softly down the hallway, the sound barely cutting through the quiet hum of your desk lamp. The apartment was dark except for the pool of warm light spilling across your desk, catching the scattered papers and half-empty mug beside your laptop. You didn’t even hear him at first—you were too lost in the rhythm of typing, too deep into the kind of focus that blurs out time itself.
Then came a quiet clink.
You looked up to see a steaming mug placed beside your elbow. The scent hit you before the warmth did—your favorite tea, made just the way you liked it.
Seonghwa stood there in his oversized sleep shirt, hair tousled and falling into his eyes, looking equal parts annoyed and impossibly fond.
“You’re still up?” His voice was soft, but it carried that tone—the one that said you were about to get a gentle scolding.
You offered him a sheepish smile. “Just a bit more. I need to finish this section before I forget the idea.”
He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “You said that an hour ago.”
You blinked. “It’s been an hour?”
He gave you a look that was half disbelief, half amusement, before leaning down and brushing a hand over your hair, smoothing it back behind your ear. “You’ll turn into a zombie if you keep this up.”
You huffed, but the warmth of his touch pulled the tension right out of you. “I’ll survive. You underestimate my caffeine-based resilience.”
Seonghwa didn’t laugh. Instead, he bent down and pressed a kiss to the top of your head. “I don’t like when you push yourself like this,” he murmured. “It’s not worth losing sleep over.”
You wanted to argue, but the way his voice softened on that last line made it impossible. He always sounded like that when he worried—gentle, but heavy with care.
He sat down beside you, dragging your extra blanket from the couch and wrapping it around both of your shoulders before you could protest. You felt his warmth immediately—his arm slipped around your waist, pulling you closer until you could feel his chin resting on your shoulder.
“Then at least let me keep you company,” he said, voice a low rumble against your ear. “Finish what you need to, and I’ll make sure you actually go to bed this time.”
You couldn’t help but smile, leaning back into him. His hand found yours on the desk, fingers intertwining easily like they were meant to. The tea sat untouched for a moment, steam curling lazily into the air while you worked—your free hand typing, the other held firmly in his.
Every few minutes, he’d hum softly, or press a lazy kiss to your temple. Sometimes he’d rest his chin on your shoulder again and watch your screen, eyes following the movement of your cursor without really caring what you were writing.
“You type too fast,” he murmured after a while. “Your fingers are going to fall off.”
“Then you’ll have to type for me,” you teased, still focused on your work.
He let out a quiet laugh. “Deal. But only if I get paid in kisses.”
Before you could respond, he tilted your chin slightly and pressed his lips to yours—slow, unhurried, full of warmth. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours, eyes half-lidded and soft. “Finish up, darling,” he whispered. “I’ll be right here.”
He stayed while you typed the last few lines, tracing lazy circles on the back of your hand, his thumb brushing your skin in small, comforting motions. When you finally hit save and closed your laptop, he let out a satisfied hum, squeezing your hand.
“There,” he said, like he’d just won a small victory. “Now you can rest.”
You leaned into him, exhaustion finally catching up. “You’re too good to me.”
He kissed your cheek, then your jaw. “I’m just good for you,” he murmured.
You laughed softly at his cheesy tone, but it melted into a quiet sigh as he helped you up, guiding you toward bed with his hand at the small of your back. The blanket stayed wrapped around both of you as you shuffled down the hall together.
When you crawled into bed, he followed right after, tugging you close until you were pressed against his chest. His fingers traced the edge of your sleeve, then found their way under it, brushing gentle patterns against your skin.
“Next time,” he whispered, already half-asleep, “wake me up if you’re working late. I’ll bring tea sooner.”
You smiled into his chest, eyes fluttering shut. “Deal.”
He pressed one last kiss to your forehead. “Good girl.”
The last thing you heard before sleep pulled you under was the steady rhythm of his heartbeat matching yours in the quiet dark.

The sweater hangs off you like it was made to drown you. The sleeves swallow your hands, the hem nearly hitting your thighs, and the neckline droops just enough that a bit of your collarbone peeks out. You’re padding around the apartment, half-distracted, searching for your mug of tea that’s probably gone cold by now.
Mingi watches from the couch, elbow propped on the armrest, lips curving into a slow grin. There’s something about seeing you in his clothes that makes his chest feel too full. Maybe it’s the way you look so at home in them. Or maybe it’s just the simple fact that you’re his.
“You’re gonna stretch that,” he says quietly, voice carrying that lazy morning warmth that always gives him away.
You glance at him over your shoulder. “You mean your favorite sweater?”
He hums, a teasing lilt in his tone. “The one I was planning to wear today.”
You smile, soft and shameless, tugging one sleeve over your hand. “Guess I beat you to it.”
He doesn’t argue. Instead, he gets up and crosses the room, barefoot on the wooden floor. The second his arms slip around you from behind, you melt into him without thinking. His hands settle at your waist, thumbs brushing the hem of the sweater, warm against your skin.
“You look better in it anyway,” he murmurs against your hair.
You laugh quietly, tilting your head back to rest against his shoulder. His breath touches your ear when he speaks again. “You’re too cute for your own good.”
His heartbeat is steady against your back. You can feel it when he sways you gently side to side, like there’s music only he can hear. It’s the kind of quiet moment that doesn’t need words — the soft hum of the heater, the smell of his shampoo, your fingers tracing lazy circles over his forearm.
He presses a kiss to the side of your neck, unhurried. You let out a small sigh that makes him smile again.
“Comfortable?” he asks.
“More than comfortable,” you mumble, voice muffled as you tug the sweater closer.
He chuckles and rests his chin on your shoulder, eyes half-lidded, content. “You can keep it.”
flufftober' 25,, day five! choi san | x fem!reader + bf!san

The night had gone quiet hours ago. The movie ended, the TV screen dimmed, and still, San hadn’t moved. You had fallen asleep against him halfway through, head tucked under his chin, one hand resting on his chest.
At first, he thought you were just resting your eyes. But then your breathing slowed, your body relaxed, and your fingers loosened against his hoodie. You were gone, completely asleep.
San looked down at you for a moment, eyes soft in the dark. Your face was peaceful, the faintest crease still between your brows like you were holding on to the tail end of a dream. He wanted to smooth it away, but even the idea of moving felt wrong. He didn’t want to wake you.
The room was warm and quiet. The faint orange light from the street slipped through the blinds and painted soft lines across your hair. San adjusted the blanket higher over both of you, careful not to disturb you, then settled back against the couch.
You were curled up close to him, legs tangled with his, breath warm against his neck. Every so often, you made a tiny sound, barely a sigh, and each one tugged at something deep in his chest. He could feel the weight of you, solid and real, and it filled the quiet in a way words never could.
His arm had gone completely numb beneath your head, but he didn’t care. He tried to shift once, testing if he could move without waking you, but your hand tightened instinctively at his hoodie, pulling him back. He smiled. That was the end of that.
He watched you for a while. The small details hit him hardest: the way your lips parted slightly when you breathed, the way your hair fanned across his chest, the way your body seemed to mold perfectly against his. It wasn’t something he could ever get used to.
He lifted his free hand, slowly, brushing a few strands of hair away from your face. His fingers lingered for a second against your cheek, feeling the warmth of your skin, the tiny rhythm of your pulse. Then he let his hand fall to your back, tracing slow circles over the fabric of your hoodie.
The world outside kept moving. A car passed, the refrigerator hummed, a clock ticked quietly in the kitchen. But in this small corner of the night, everything felt still.
He could feel your heartbeat now, faint but steady against his ribs. His own seemed to match it without meaning to. He breathed in, slow and deep, catching the familiar scent of your shampoo and laundry soap mixed together.
After a while, his eyelids started to grow heavy, but he didn’t fight it. He just lay there, holding you, eyes half-open, watching the rise and fall of your shoulders. He thought briefly about how ridiculous it was that something this quiet could mean so much.
You shifted again, a small movement that pressed you closer to his chest. Your hand slid under the hem of his hoodie, fingers brushing his skin. The touch was faint, half-conscious, but it was enough to make his breath catch. He wrapped his arm a little tighter around you, his hand settling at the curve of your waist.
He bent his head slightly and pressed a soft kiss into your hair, barely touching. You didn’t stir. You just breathed out, long and slow, and your body relaxed completely against his.
The hours passed like that. Stillness, warmth, the sound of two heartbeats in sync. By the time the first light of morning crept into the room, San was still awake, still holding you, body sore but he didn't care.
He closed his eyes at last. His lips brushed the top of your head again before sleep pulled him under, gentle and heavy. He didn’t move, not once.

The moment you spot him reaching for the top shelf, you already know what’s coming. It’s the same story every time.
You’re standing in the kitchen, trying to grab the jar of honey, and there he is — smug, impossibly tall, and grinning like he’s been waiting all day for this exact opportunity.
“Yunho,” you warn, narrowing your eyes.
He doesn’t even try to hide the mischief curling at the corners of his mouth. “This one?” he asks innocently, holding the jar up with one hand like some sort of trophy.
“Yes, that one,” you huff, stepping closer to snatch it. But before you can, he lifts his arm even higher. You groan. “Yunho!”
He laughs — that soft, melodic laugh that makes your chest feel way too warm. “Come on, you can reach it,” he teases, leaning back just enough to make it impossible.
“You’re enjoying this way too much,” you say, glaring up at him.
He tilts his head, pretending to think. “Maybe a little.”
You cross your arms, trying to look intimidating, but he only grins wider. The man knows he has you wrapped around his finger. So you do the only logical thing: you lunge at him.
He yelps, surprised, as you throw yourself at his chest, trying to wrestle the jar from his hand. “Hey—hey! Careful!” he laughs, trying not to drop it.
“Give it!” you demand, grabbing at his wrist.
“Nope,” he sings, holding it higher.
“Yunho,” you warned, already reaching up on tiptoe, fingers brushing the bottom of the mug. He only raised his arm higher, laughing when you groaned and swatted at him.
“Come on, short stuff,” he said with a grin that was far too smug for someone doing something so childish.
“Yunho Jeong, if you don’t—”
He yelped when you lunged at him again, wrapping your arms around his waist in mock attack. The two of you stumbled back, laughing so hard you almost forgot what you were fighting for. Yunho’s long arms went around you automatically, keeping you steady even as you tried to pry the mug out of his hand.
“You’re ridiculous,” you said between laughs, still reaching up, your face buried against his chest.
“And you’re tiny,” he countered, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
You scowl, fuming, then suddenly get an idea. You go still, eyes narrowing, and he blinks at you suspiciously. “What are you—”
You grab him by the collar and yank him down. The kiss lands hard, unplanned, and utterly perfect.
For a split second, his eyes fly open in shock — but then he melts. His free hand finds your waist, pulling you closer, while the other wavers helplessly in the air, still holding the jar hostage. You feel him smile against your lips, that stupid, breathtaking smile.
And then, you snatch it. You break the kiss with a triumphant laugh, clutching the jar to your chest. He’s left blinking, dazed, his lips still parted. “Wait—” he starts, but you’re already stepping back, grinning.
“Got it,” you say smugly.
He recovers fast. Too fast. Before you can take two steps away, his arms slide around your waist from behind, catching you like you weigh nothing. You squeal, half-laughing, half-shrieking as he pulls you against him.
“No fair,” he murmurs into your ear, voice low and playful. His breath fans across your neck, making you shiver. “You cheated.”
“You started it,” you say, trying to sound defiant even though you’re already melting into his touch.
He hums, lips brushing against your shoulder now, leaving a trail of soft, lazy kisses up toward your neck. “Mmm… I don’t mind losing like that.”
You can’t help but laugh — the sound bubbling up as he tightens his hold, swaying you both gently in the middle of the kitchen. You feel his heartbeat pressed against your back, steady and warm.
“You’re impossible,” you whisper.
“Mm. You love me though,” he says easily, smiling against your skin.
You turn your head just enough to meet his gaze, and sure enough, he’s already looking at you like you hung the moon.
He grins, leaning in to kiss the corner of your mouth, then your cheek, then finally your lips again — slower this time, sweet and lingering. The jar of honey sits forgotten on the counter as you turn in his arms, looping yours around his neck.
“Still gonna keep things out of my reach?” you mumble against his lips.
He chuckles softly. “Maybe. Depends on how you plan to convince me next time.”
You swat at his chest, but he only laughs and pulls you closer, spinning you once just to hear you squeal again. The kitchen fills with the sound of your laughter, his low chuckle, the quiet rhythm of your hearts syncing to the same beat.
When you finally settle back into his arms, he presses one last kiss to your forehead.
“Next time,” he murmurs, smiling down at you, “you won’t need to steal it.”
You grin up at him, eyes shining. “We’ll see about that.”
And he knows—without needing to say a word—that he’s already lost.

The low hum of the monitors filled the room, soft blue light bleeding into the shadows of Hongjoong’s studio. He sat in his chair, one hand balanced on the keyboard, the other hovering near the mixer, adjusting a track that had swallowed his attention for hours. His brows were furrowed in that familiar way—focused, quiet, lost in the rhythm of something only he could hear.
You padded across the room barefoot, the floor cool beneath your toes, your oversized sweater trailing against your thighs. He didn’t notice you at first. He rarely did when he worked like this.
You leaned down and draped your arms around his shoulders, cheek brushing against the side of his head. He didn’t turn, only muttered, distractedly, “Busy,” like it was his automatic reflex, not a rejection. His voice was low and rough from hours of quiet humming.
“I know,” you whispered, fingers brushing the soft hair curling at the nape of his neck. You toyed with one strand until it slipped between your fingers, watching the way the faint light made it shine faintly gold.
Hongjoong sighed but didn’t move you away. You took that as permission and slid around to his side, easing yourself onto his lap, sideways, your knees dangling over the armrest. His hand automatically shifted to steady you, still not looking up from the glowing screen.
You could feel the vibration of the bass line through him, the faint thump of it syncing with the rhythm of his heartbeat. His focus didn’t waver—he adjusted knobs, pressed keys, hummed under his breath. You rested your temple against his shoulder, letting your fingers wander across his collar, tracing the soft fabric, the curve of his neck.
He exhaled sharply, pretending to be irritated. “You’re distracting me,” he murmured. But you could hear the smile behind it.
You hummed in response, something sleepy and content. The warmth of his chest, the steady movement of his hand on the keyboard—it was hypnotic. You nuzzled closer, your breath brushing against his skin, and somewhere between one chord and the next, your eyelids grew heavy.
It took him a while to notice. He was still half in the music, half in his head, when he felt the slow weight of you melting against him. He froze, glanced down. Your lashes rested against your cheeks, lips parted in a small sigh, hand still tangled loosely in his shirt collar.
A quiet laugh escaped him—barely a breath. “You really fell asleep on me, huh?”
He leaned back in the chair, the leather creaking softly. One arm slipped around your waist, drawing you closer until your head fit beneath his chin. The faint scent of your shampoo mixed with the faint metallic tang of the studio air. He stayed like that for a while—hands still, mind quiet for the first time all night.
The screen dimmed after a few minutes. He didn’t bother to move. His thumb traced lazy circles along your arm, his other hand resting against your back, feeling the rise and fall of your breathing. You shifted once, murmured something unintelligible against his neck.
“Hey,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, more breath than sound. “If I let you stay here, I’ll never get anything done.”
But he didn’t move yet. Only when your head lolled slightly against his shoulder did he finally sigh and push himself up. Carefully, he scooped you into his arms, one hand behind your knees, the other supporting your back. You stirred, eyes fluttering open for just a second, unfocused.
“Joong…?” you mumbled.
“Shh,” he said softly, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Go back to sleep.”
You nestled closer, trusting the warmth, the way he smelled faintly like cedar and late nights. He carried you through the dim apartment, the faint hum of the studio fading behind him.
In the bedroom, he lowered you onto the sheets with a care that felt almost reverent. You made a faint sound of protest when his arms left you, but he only chuckled quietly, pulling the blanket over you.
He brushed a few strands of hair away from your face, his fingertips lingering against your cheek. “You really do know how to distract me,” he murmured.
You didn’t respond—already half asleep again—but when he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your forehead, you smiled faintly, eyes closed.
He stood there for a moment, the room hushed except for your breathing. The studio light still spilled faintly from down the hall, casting a soft glow on the edge of the bed.
Hongjoong leaned against the doorframe, watching you—his muse, his favorite kind of interruption. A quiet laugh left him as he rubbed at the back of his neck.
